Untitled Part 14

Professor Baise stood, grinning. Except, he was no longer human, but now a demon. He appeared human, but had black skin and legs of a demon. His eyes were yellow dots in a black whole that darted around. From his waist, skin like clothes sprouted everywhere, but gave space for his feet. Behind his back were now a pair of bat wings, It was sharp and crooked, but strong enough to flick away a person.

"This...This is the feeling. The absolute ecstasy! I surpassed a human's limit." Professot Baise spoke. "Look carefully. At this majestic sight." He then places his hand on his chin as if thinking. "Now then, how should I do this? I should let you die in agony after I've chopped off your limbs. Or even crush you all with a boulder at once? What should I do? Something quick but exciting."

Iel watched, unable to do anything. She cursed the fact that she was as powerless as the rest of the students. She balled her fist and gritted her teeth, thinking of anything possible.

"Ah first. Let me rid of the unnecessary weight." Professor Baise looked over to the frozen Chevel. "I was going to use you well but, it's a pity. Mr. Hadelio, farewell." The area where Chevel stood chipped and cracked. It soon shattered, forming boulders that fell down to the bottom. With the boulders, Chevel began falling. Lidusis raced towards the cliff, getting a hold of Chevel's hand before falling. Chevel dangled in Lidusis's hand.
Everyone watched, surprised that the very one who had been made a monster went to rescue the one who had made him the monster. Of course, it made no sense. Professor Baise watched Lidusis with a disgusted face. "Artian. This is unexpected. You of all people came to save Hadelio." He raises his hands. "He was your tormentor this whole time. You are aware he was the one who made you a loner, bullied you, and that he's responsible for this situation?"

Despite that, Lidusis couldn't let him go.

"Ah. Artian, I think you'll like this." Professor Baise smiled and snapped his fingers. Chevel's necklace shattered into pieces, and the blue aura around him glowed to nothing. Chevel blinked numerous times, then looked up at Lidusis.

"What...what the hell is going on?"

Professor Baise continued. "Artian. I'll be nice and let you choose. If you let go of Hadelio's hand, the rest of the students here...will live." He raised his hand towards Lidusis. "If you don't, the remaining students will be crushed under that boulder." They were afloat the students, barely supported by professor Baise's magic.

"What the heck? I can't watch this kind of thing." Chevel smiles. "You...You're glad this happened, aren't you? I bullied you calling you a monster all this time...Aren't you thinking that this is exactly what I deserve?" He looses his smile. "Let go! I don't want help from yo-" Drips of tears streamed down Chevel's face.

Lidusis tears dripped onto Chevel, which just threw him off. "No. I don't want to." Lidusis said, sobbing.

Chevel was dumbstruck. "Wha...I-if you say that, you think I'll thank you or something? If I have to need your help to continue living...I'd rather di-"

"I don't want to!" He gripped Chevel with his other hand. "Hold on, please."

The crowd was in awe. In awe that Lidusis had chosen his bully overthe rest of them. Iel knew otherwise. Professor Baise wasn't going to let them go even if Lidusis had chosen the students over Chevel.

Professor Baise fell silent, but spoke. "So you choose Hadelio? Think carefully. If you just give up that person, you'll save everyone. I give you my word."

Lidusis didn't respond.

"So you are not really a monster, but an idiot." Chevel said. "Well, you always did look a little dumb. Let me make this clear. None of this...was your fault. Yeah. Back then...It wasn't your fault back then either." Chevel smiled. "If you keep holding onto my arm like that...I'm going to loose feeling in that arm. Let go for a sec." He wiggled his arm. It slipped through Lidusis's hands. "...I'm sorry for everything." Chevel fell.

Professor Baise chuckled. "So in the end, he fell off." He looked down at Lidusis who produced black murderous intent of swirls. He grins at the sight. After all, that was his true objective in all of this. "No reason to mourn, Artian. No matter who you chose, I was going to kill all of you anyway." The boulders left the air and descended.

Lidusis sat there, staring over the cliff. He was greeted by a flash of air. He didn't know what happened, or he didn't catch it. But he found a person. He was dressed all in black, with black hair to go with it. In his hands was Chevel, who was as confused as Lidusis.

Blow threw Chevel over as soon as he landed. With a step, he used professor Baise's head as a catapult, launching himself towards the falling boulders. Seconds later, the boulders became nothing but rock pebbles. He landed on the ground and scanned for Lidusis, making sure he was safe. He gave a fake cough and looked around the crowd. "Is everyone alright?"

"W-why you..." Professor Baise screamed as he's just recovered from his "injuries".

Blow remained silent,making his inferences.

"How dare you interfere. I'll kill you!" Professor Baise released a blast of his magic.

Blow encountered it with an amount of his too, brushing it aside.

"Are you from the tower?! To just run in here foolishly without fear...You fool. I'll make you ever regret coming here!" The angered professor threw another blast from within his hands, this time making it bigger and more destructive.

Blow gripped his black coated blue arrow. He brushed passed it with a step and used his arrow to direct the blast away from the students. Something about the aura felt strange to Blow. Like he'd felt it somewhere before. Then, for about a minute of pondering, Blow arrived at a conclusion. It was professor Baise. He'd felt it in the hall where the incident with Lidusis took place. He was sure of it.

"Yes. You look like someone with decent skills." Professor Baise's tendrils got a grip on Blow's foot. "But, no matter how skilled you might be...With that kind of baggage holding you back, can you really fight properly?" The rest of the magic held Blow's hand back. "And...If you were to move, the students behind you would die." He threatened with a satisfying grin.

  "Incorrect."

A series of silence bellowed upon the crowd. "Well that's fine." Proffesor Baise continued. "I wonder how long you can keep that cool face on." He threw his hands in the air and from within it, a yellow blast that was probably more stronger than the ones he had thrown at Blow erupted. "Since i'm short on time, I'll just annihilate you all at once!" He threw it at Blow and the panicked students.

Everything went blurry with a flash of yellow light, but there was no damage done.

Blow still stood, the yellow tendrils still keeping him in place. "The reason...I didn't dodge is not because of something noble like that. But I just never felt the need to." Above Blow, the magic blast professor Baise had thrown at him was now sealed within Blow's own magic. It was halted inside. Enclosed by Blow's black coated blue magic that created a circle. Blow used his magic to separate himself from the yellow tendrils.

"I understand." Professor Baise gritted his teeth. "I have heard of you. The one that used the demons of the door to gain his fame as a young magician. You are of the Opion association. The Black Magician."

Blow rolled his shoulders. "Well. Why is that so important to you?"

Professor Baise laughed. "Of course it's important. I don't know why a magician of Opion is at a place like this, but...If you really are the Black Magician, by killing you, I can show the world my tru-."

Just then, the crowd was welcomed by a loud roar. It was painful enough to the ears, but the force was strong enough to knock some students off balance. The source of the roar had found its way to the edge of the cliff, where it took hold and looked down upon the students. The blue demon set its wings. It brought its face down to where Blow and professor Baise stood.

Blow looked up at it, not sure if he should attack. The demon did look menacing, yet it had no evil aura to it. It lowered its head more, reaching for Blow. Blow's thoughts raced. He wan't sure what to do. But as he fought with his thoughts, the demon brought its pointed chin down on Blow and ruffled his hair lightly. Blow was bewildered.

Professor Baise rushed to the demon's side. He chuckles. "It's unmistakable. He had to have sent me this. My backup." Professor Baise smiles. "Yes. No matter how strong you may be, it's nothing in front of his power." He turns to the demon. "Now, hurry up and attack h-" Professor Baise couldn't finish.

The demon swept professor Baise off the ground and into its mouth, where it gulped him down. And like the rest, Blow was bemused.
