Raivis held out his camera to get a picture of a bunch of black birds sitting in a nearby tree. Right when he was about to take the picture, the birds took off. He looked at his camera screen and saw the picture.What a great action shot! He thought. He put the camera in his backpack and walked through the leafless woods. It was cold outside with a thin layer of snow on the ground. The sun started to set as he left the woods and walked onto the street. As he walked he thought of the same thing he usually, why wouldn't people like living here in Latvia? I mean we don't have much of an economy or the richest place, but it's so pretty here and most people are nice. He walked up to his house and opened the door. Raivis put his backpack on his bed and hung up his coat. He grabbed his camera, went to his computer, and plugged it in to download the picture. He set it as his background. No school tomorrow, he thought to himself. He looked out his window and saw a black bird on a flagpole with the Latvian flag on it. He unplugged his camera and took a picture of it. He loved birds. Raivis didn't do much for the rest of the day, but he did chat with his friend Emilijya by computer. She told him to meet her and Nick by the beach the next day since there was no school. Nick was an exchange student from America. He was switched out with another girl he knew named Gwynii. She had a strange name but she was Emilijya and his best friend. They both missed her a lot. Anyways Emilijya told Raivis that she had found a book full of urban legend with one legend that most locals thought was real. Siibeyalje. The demon crow. Raivis did not believe it was real. He, Emilijya, and Gwynii used to discuss stuff like that all the time. Then when she left they started to talk about it with Nick. They kept trying to convince him that Siibeyalje was real, but they have not managed to do so yet. So he knew that the next day that they would try to convince him once again, but hopefully they actually find some believable information this time. Emilijya also told him to bring his camera. She wanted to explore the woods in search of Siibeyalje. Like they will ever find him.
