A Confession Of Misdeeds: How The Tale Ends

Did you know nightmares speak? They whisper little lies and rot your head with melted words and evil deeds. The little seeds of sin growing into a tree of villainous acts.

Sometimes you try, you fight back. Occasionally a win might happen. But mostly you die. You die with each and every breath. You die of it, you lose the fight.

Not everyone could be a winner.

Kieran Ray was a difficult case of goodness and lying nightmares.A madden young man with no idea how far that madness truly went.

"He lives a sad life, " one might say about him.

"He's...unusual to say the least." Another would speak.

"A bit unhinged in the head, eh?" The final would add.

Was he? Was he a unusual unhinged sad man? The words played in his head. One caught his attention and never let go.

Sad.

Sometimes a cloud would follow him. Its presence representing the odd feeling he got occasionally. A dark antsy thing, almost nothing yet everything else all at once. Kieran knew there was serious things wrong with him.

But he wasn't aware of just how far the madness went.

So he was glad to make a friend. It cleared the cloud for awhile. It made the nights just a bit more bearable and a little less frightening.

But it was amazing how screwed you could get by just being someone friend. While it's true that it goes both ways, Kieran really got the short end in their friendship.

You give and you get or sometimes you just take. Nothing was for free, not even loyalty. Sometimes, when he sat alone on a distant nights. He would this of this moment, think of what he became just for rest. You never know how dangerous friendship is, till your friend turns out to be a killer.

In all honesty, he knew that his friend only did what they because of their victim's sin. It wasn't really anyone's fault but Black's when you really thought about it. Besides, the man dying wasn't exactly a curse. He was an awful person, really. He could be. So perhaps it was better to let secrets lay and burn.

He didn't like pretending. He didn't like the mask he slipped on to protect the people he cared about. It was just stunning how people could turn on each other in a snap of fingers. And Kieran was there, standing in the shadows and watching. They could investigate, and he would be there watching, making sure they were just inches away from the truth. Giving information honestly and taking even more. He was the eyes and the ears of the monster inside.

The one that danced with death and lived in horrors. The thing eatting him away without his knowledge of the attack.
Oh what a beautiful creature, One might joke. But Kieran would add that it had to be, since it breed be in you and me.

He lead the them away. Threw suspicion on others who had no blame and place pressure on the innocent mind. It was for their own good. They didn't need to know what monster Black been at the time of his death. Some loved him, admired him, respected him. They didn't need to the truth. They just needed someone to blame so they move on and live with the belief that Black wasn't all that bad.

How could a man try to kill his own student. His friend, companion and fellow survivor. All for money, always came back to the damn cash.

"It cures insomnia."

"The money we could make.."

"No, no. Its dangerous. Danilah please. You know how dangerous it could be."

"People will take the chance. Why do you think I bought Ray here? He will be a perfect example."

"No. I refuse. Without my help you cannot not do this."

"Then I'll just get rid of you."

Gray watched from the doorway. Her heart beating so fast she was sure she would be discovered.

Black tried to poison her. It was by sheer luck that Gray stopped him, only, he died instead of her. A cup of purple set by the warm of fire and dinner dishes. Kieran would only learn all this later after the murder.

Sylvia, to be honest he didn't know her role. He supposed she was meant to take the fall. Be the lamp they killed, that would be her job. But life is never that easy and murder wasn't always bad.

Then came Emma. Poor Emma who was becoming a problem. Well, she wasn't one anymore, was she?

He would talk to her, take Toto along to try to convince her that they were in the right. But no, she was drunk and didn't understand their side. She just wouldn't listen to reason, damnit.

She had to go. Her sweet existence had to be eliminated and buried underneath the very solids of hell and heaven.

Kieran Ray wasn't all he appeared to be. He was a sinner, a liar and a murderer.

He was an accomplice.

He just didn't know it.

He didn't know what he had done, he didn't know about Black, he didn't know about Emma. No, he didn't remember any of it. He would fall asleep, but he wouldn't dream. No, he wake as a different person. A darker person.

But sins, they change us. Even when where not aware of them. Apart of him knew, knew in the deepest sense that something wasn't right.

He wasn't right.

It's the scariest thing, not being able to trust yourself. To sleep with consequence and dream with reality. When you knew, you weren't just yourself, but another monster hiding within.

So when Kieran saw the notes of his sins that his dark self left him he knew there was only one thing left to do. The seed of sin had grown too strong, the pain too deep, the exhaustion hit him hard. He couldn't help it anymore.

What was there left to hold on to?

Grab a rope, get some pills, hold a gun and let's all have some fun.

Death wasn't as bad as people thought. Sweet bliss of a peaceful mind. The relief of letting go. Pain no longer existed.

At last, he dreamed.

Only to be awoken by the death of the a dancing demon within and pair of soft caring hands leading him from darkness.

Tick tock.

Goes the clock.

Half awake, half dreaming.

Tick tock.

Here it ends, here we burn.

Somewhere in the back of a limited mind a soft ping went off and a pair of feathered eyes softly opened. A feel of pure distress racking through her tiny body. She instantly let out crocks of despair.

"Hey! I think there something wrong with Toto." The surprised tone of Miss Moira Quinn caught Kieran attention as he looked up from his drawing pad.

He blinked meekly and stoked her feathers. Toto immediately leaned into his touch. The afternoon light steamed down and reflected off of them. He had been wrong about the garden, he thought it too perfect. A thing of beauty with no imperfections or warmth. But Moira, or Mory as he now called her, had shown him that it wasn't the garden that was perfect. It was people in it that made it so. It was sort of a bonding thing for them. To meet up at the garden, him with his new found passion for drawing and her with her many case files which she worked tirelessly on. They were quite the pair and he would forever be grateful to her finding him in his darkest hour and helping into her brilliant shining light of life.

Kieran hasn't been expecting to make such a friend in Mory. It such a sudden surprise and he couldn't have been happier about it. He knew she would be leaving soon and it crushed him inside slowly. Already people packed up their belongings and say soulful farewells with promises of keeping in contact which mostly wouldn't be kept by anyone but close associates.

They retreated slowly, their shadows leaving no lasting effect upon the estate. Somewhere deep, Kieran felt sort of saddened about it. But they were leaving with the knowledge that they caught the killer and Mr Black could finally rest in peace. It was an awful sort of success that Kieran felt when he realized only two people really suspected he was involved but either had proven it. So as he sat three days ago and watched a lowering coffin he knew Mr Black wasn't the only one being laid to rest.

The soft touch on his hand bought his eyes to Moira soul searching ones. She was looking at him as always did when he went into his deep thinking slience. Her gaze so intense as if she basically trying to read his mind and steal the secrets that lay there rotting him from the inside.

Her lips slightly turned up in a amusing smirk. She knew, she knew the secrets that kept him up at night at despite the cynide. Thats what had drew them together. A bonding understanding of secretary and conflict. It still surprised him at times when he remembered that she was once the list of people he planned to blame for the killer's sins.

"You know, I'm heading back tomorrow."

Kieran Ray felt a slab of pain like no other at his heart. She was going?so soon!? He knew it was coming but it felt as if this were his greatest punishment for aiding in the murder. A life without Moira. His hand unconscious tightened another hers in a gentle manner showing its unwillingness to let go.

"It's a long journey back,"She started, a slow grin working its way on her lips."I could use some company?" The sentence came out as a unsure question as her grin was replaced with a nervous smile.

Beside her Toto shuffled uncertainly and gave Kieran a pointed look that suggested that if he disagreed, Toto would be leaving too. But at the sight of Kieran's wide grin and shining eyes under his tousled black hair all of her fears died and she sat happily at both their sides.

"I would follow you on a journey to Mars, Miss Quinn."

Sometimes life could be a dream.

And FIN, there you go. Slowly back the camera away from the couple happiness infected faces, there, there. Yes. Okay now throw the Bears and Sharks into the shoot and end with a explosion!

....

What? No?

Fine.

*shudders*

This fluff ending gives me nightmares. But some of you must of seeing this
coming, eh? I think the main person was Belinda, so shout out to her. Oh and Kenny, but you know he's good at everything, so yeah, shout out to Belinda for guessing Kieran might be involved.

I think my real victim was poor Toto. I used the bird for everything, need a alibi? Toto. Need to find the murderer? Toto missing. Need to throw suspicion off yourself? Get an adorable pet. It works murderers!

The moral of this story is...

Don't trust sweet polite people with adorable pets.

Also I just totally made Kieran kill himself, WTF just happened?(my actual thought while writing this XD) Thank goodness for Moira, eh? (Also i didn't want to be killed by Kieran surprising number of friends)

A pair of tired eyes glares her from the shadows. She ignores them because they're dead to her.

Suddenly there a shot heard.

The screen goes black.

A notice flashes.
