In a world where magic is everything there live's one boy who has none, his name is Asta. Unlike anyone from this land of magic Asta possess's a magic of his own, the magic of never giving up, with this power and the power of anit-magic Asta is almost indestructible. Along Asta and friends have completed yet another mission with eas, and after coming home to a great meal prepared by Charmy, Asta go's outside to train with Liebe.

Asta was training with Liebe till Nacht came outside to bring them end for the day. When Nacht stepped outside to notify Asta and Liebe, Plumede told him there was someone in the garden, and it wasn't Charmy.

Nacht and Asta went over to the garden to see a young boy stealing the carrots. Nacht grabbed the boy by shadows arms and pulled him into the black bulls base.

Asta stood up in front of the boy and noticed that he had a small headband with ash on it, looking closer at him, he had ash all over him. Asta thought to himself, did he come through the strong magic region?

"What were you doing in the garden?"
"I was hunger, I'm sorry, the house it looked abandon so I didn't see any harm in taking some food."
"Wait, you're just hunger? Then here let me get you some food."
"Wait a second, we are not just giving our food to some little thief."
"But Vice Captain Nacht, his just hunger, come on please?"
"Fine, but only a little bit."

The ash covered boy was confused why they were talking about him like some stray cat they picked up off the street. He tried to listen in on them in the other room but there voice's were to muffled by the walls. Asta came back in the living room holding a small bowl in hand, with strawberries in it.

"Here, eat these."
"Thank you, you are very kind."
"Hey, what you're name?"
"Akihiko, and you?"
"Asta, mind if I just call you Aki?"
"Yeah, no problem."
Nacht started to talk. "You can take the bowl, so you can leave now."
"Wait, if it's not to much, can you tell me if you seen this boy?"

Asta studied the picture and Nacht just slightly glazed at the picture. Neither of the recognized the boy but could tell that Akihiko really wanted to fine him. Asta shock his head side-to-side, saying no, as Nacht bluntly said no. Nacht actually slowly started to become sad knowing the lose of someone close can be hard to bare.

"Is he related to you Akihiko?"
"Yes, he is my younger brother."
"And how old are you?"
"I'm 13, his only 10, please, you're magic knights right? Help me find him?"
Asta walked closer. "Of course, that's what the magic knights of the clover kingdom do, they help people."
"But his not even a citation of clover!"
"Hey Aki where are you from?"
"Oh, I'm from a falling kingdom, called the kingdom of ash's."
"I've never heard of it before?"
Nacht interrupted "That's because rumors say long ago that kingdom was called the kingdom of fire, till it burned to the ground and left noting but ash's." 
"The kingdom is still there, but due to the diamond kingdom we've lost most of our land, and resource."
"You talk as if it's you're kingdom?"
"It not yet, it won't be my kingdom till I'm either married or 25."
Asta jumped up. "Wait! You're a prince?!"
"Yes, is that a problem?"
Nacht pulled Asta back. "If his the prince when the king comes looking for him, we will be blamed for his disappearance."
"That's no true."
"If it's any consolation, my father won't come looking for me, I doubt he even knows I'm gone."
"So, you're a run away then?"
"I had too, my father had no plan to look for my brother, and his been missing for three months. And if I can't find him then..." He started to cry. "Then I don't know what I would do with myself."

Nacht knows what's it's like to lose a younger brother, the lost of Morgen nearly killed him. He went on his knees and wrapped is arms around the ash covered boy.
"We will find him, if it's the last thing I do, I promise."

Asta was shocked to see the sudden change in Nacht demeanor, and the feeling of his ki completely change. Yami came down stairs, and asked Nacht who it was that was in is base.
"The prince of the ash kingdom."
"The what kingdom?"
"His brother is missing, and his come here to look for him."
"Who to say his brother isn't in Spade, Heart, or Diamond?"
Akihiko look at the Captain of the black bulls. "I've already been through Diamond, his wasn't there." 
"Well then go to Heart."
"That kingdom is peaceful, they would gain nothing by kidnapping my brother."
"Okay, then go to Spade."
"I would but that kingdom scares me."
"Pussy."
Nacht stood up and smacked Yami across his face. "His only 13, so shut up, he crossed kingdoms to get here, he is not a pussy, his lost his brother, and we are going to help him."
"I get it, you just want to help him because you don't want him to end up like you with Morgen."
"Utter that name again, and I'll kill you!"
"Just before you take things to serious tell the wizard king about this whole thing."
"Whatever."
