"So you two are the new recruits," our captain said. Captain Yami Sukehiro asked, looking at me and another girl.

"Whoa!" Asta exclaimed. "Aren't you the girl from before?" I glared at him. Fore some reason, he just made me really mad.

"And you're that little brat from before," I said.

"Hey!" Asta shouted. "I'm 16!"

"Oh?" I asked. "Could've fooled me." Asta glared at me.

"Calm down," Captain Yami said, looking at a person coming towards us. "Finral will take us back. We'll give you a broom at some point tomorrow."

"Ooh," the guy said, running his fingers through his orangeish hair. "They're both girls! Would you like to go on a date with me sometime?"

"Another one of you!?" I exclaimed, slapping my forehead. "Why did it have to be a womanizer or a woman magnet?"

"I hear ya," the other girl said. Long orange hair and deep black eyes. She looked at Finral with disgust, and then turned to look at me. "The name's Hayami. Hayami Aikyo."

"Nozomi Amachi," I said. "So where did you come from?"

"I was born not far from here," she said. "Not noble born, though. What about you?"

"I lived in a small village just beyond the Common Region," I said.

"Oh so you're a commoner?" she asked. I glared at her. "Don't get me wrong! I didn't mean it in a bad way. I was just surprised because of your magic display before. You're strong."

"Oh," I said. "Thank you."

"You girls mind if I chat with you too?" Finral asked.

"Go away!!" Hayami and I exclaimed, punching him.

"That's enough!" Captain Yami shouted, glaring at the three of us. "Finral, open and portal so we can go home. When we arrive, Asta, give those two brooms."

"Yes, sir!" Asta smiled, taking his right hand and putting it against his Black Bull sign. He had his pointer, middle and ring fingers pointed at the sign. The Magic Knights salute, most likely.

"Are you guys going to go through?" Finral asked, pointing at a large circle. It was a magic portal. "It's hard to keep this open for this many people."

"Suck it up," Captain Yami growled at Finral. "Reach into that weak body of yours and find the strength."

"Y-yes sir," Finral sighed, holding out his hands to give it more support.

"Alright," Captain said, looking at me and Hayami. "In you go." I jumped through the portal and landed in front of a giant castle. It was breaking apart, but was managing to stay upright.

"Oh what a beautiful old building!" Hayami exclaimed, looking at the castle. "But of course it will need a clean up here and there."

"No need," Captain said. "We have a mage who can repair most things."

"Did Luck and Magna have another fight?" Asta asked, coming through the portal.

"Looks like it," Finral said, coming through and then closing the portal. "We'll have to have Vanessa mend the hold again.

"Damn idiots," Captain exclaimed. "Every time I'm not here, Luck always has to get into fights." Just then the front doors burst open and a small boy came flying out. He had dirt blond hair and stared at Captain.

"Captain!" he shouted happily. "Are you gonna fight me yet?"

"Not a chance, kid," Captain said.

"Are these the new recruits?" he asked, floating down to us. I noticed he was wearing Lighting/Creation Magic boots.

"Nice boots," I said, looking at the sparking boots.

"Really?" Luck asked. "Thank you. Now hold still for a minute." He landed on the ground and made the boots disappear. He then closed his eyes and I felt a spark run up my spin. "Wow! Another Lighting Magic User!"

"How'd you-" I started.

"Immense Mana Sensory," the boy replied. "Oh yeah! I'm Luck Voltia. Let's fight sometime, alright?"

"S-sure," I said wearily.

"Everyone!" Asta exclaimed, going through the broken doors into the Black Bull Secret Base. "We're back with new recruits!" I peeked into the building and saw seven people inside. {I am skipping details because you all know what the characters look like}. The place was completely messed up. There were broken tables, glass and other things lying about the floor.

"Uhh..." I looked at the different people in the room.

"EVERYONE SHUT UP!!!" Captain yelled above all the other people's clamoring. Captain made me and Hayami come forward. "Finral. Introduce everyone."

"Oh, right," Finral sighed. "So you know Asta and Luck. Then there's Noelle Silva from the Silva noble family."

"I told you not to say that!" Noelle said, throwing a water glass at Finral.

Dodging, Finral continued. "Then there's Vanessa Enoteca, Gordon Agrippa, Gauche Adlai, Charmy Pappitson, and Grey. This is the Black Bull squad."

"This is it?" Hayami asked. "Aren't there more members?"

"They're out on a mission," Asta said, putting his hands behind his head. "Not every member is here at the same time."

"Oh, right," Hayami said, looking embarrassed.

"Two more beautiful young girls," Vanessa said, crawling over and looking up at me from the floor. "I hope we can get along."

"She's completely plastered," Magna groaned, slapping his forehead. "Anyways. You two want to join our squad? You'll have to take one more test."

"What?" I asked. "I was never informed-"

"It's technically not an official test," Magna said. "Come outside. You two will have to fight me."
