THIS IS AN INDIRECT, THIS IS A STATEMENT, THIS IS A PIECE, A FORM OF EXPRESSION. A lot of the time people critique the work of others not understanding or comprehending that a person created this account out of sheer nothingness. When people say they were going to help this moment but still they gave up at the first try, the founder and others kept pushing.

I've began to realise that whenever a black person creates something it's seen as a good thing. But after a time, people criticise it, for years black people on Wattpad were explaining and complaining that there wasn't a platform to read black books and meet new black characters and We have done it.

We have done a lot and it becomes very mean when people criticise for no apparent reason - everything has been made into a separation and this is not what we are about. It's a place for all shades to be celebrated honestly and fairly.

We have asked those who have been effected by colourism to come and share their account, create a piece and we will tag them and link them to the page. It becomes frustrating when you see people complaining but not doing.

There's going to be a point in your life when you feel like there is no one else who will do it but you. So why not do it now. We stay in our bio, everyone is welcome and our community is there for talks, discussion and debates - pieces can be always sent to our email. We will never shy away.

The hypocrisy is that when you try to make something for a group of people it feels like the negative of one section of the group speaks louder than the positivity. But let me tell you, we aren't going to do that - we are positive and move on and if you have any sensitive comments please PM.
