Chapter 30

Yoongi was sitting on his couch, brooding and pissed off. But don't get him wrong; he had every right to be! He wasn't jealous... He was betrayed. Lied to. The black haired boy looked at his phone, which was thrown on the table a few minutes ago. Then he sighed, looking away again.

Yoongi had a fight with Jimin.

How did it happen? Well, Jimin said, a few months ago, that he was helping a man named Jin. He said he was a lost person who needed somebody like Jimin to help him. Now normally he wouldn't mind. Good for Jimin for wanting to help someone! He would've been really proud, but there was just one thing! He wasn't spending as much time with Yoongi anymore!

No... There was actually another thing.

That Jin man talked to Yoongi. And what he said wasn't exactly something he liked.

"I'm eighteen for fuck's sake. Why am I being so stupid?" He sighed, remembering the fight.

~ Backflash ~

"How the fuck could you do this to me?!"

Jimin didn't speak for a moment, innocent wide doe eyes staring into Yoongi's with confusion. "W-What...?"

"Don't you 'what' me! Why didn't you tell me?!!"

Jimin's eyes were watering, whimpering under Yoongi's presence. "I-I d—"

"Jesus Christ, Jimin! Stop making excuses!" Yoongi paced back and forth in the deserted streets, fingers pulling stressfully at his hair. They were on their way home from school. He had known about this since yesterday, but he held it in since then. But now, now he needed to let it all out.

"You're really pissing me off here!" He asked, feeling betrayed. "I thought we were going to stay together, forever! That was our fucking motto, wasn't it? Since we were what – twelve? Maybe even younger than that? Why would you want to break that!?" He yelled at the poor boy but at this moment, he was the one who should be crying. Not Jimin.

Jimin broke down into little sobs, attempting to explain something but they were somewhat incoherent because of his panic attack.

Yoongi then did something extremely dickish.

"Forget it. I never want to see you again. I hate you."

And walked away.

That was that.

But now, remembering seeing Jimin frozen in his spot as he walked away, he couldn't help but think of how torn Jimin must've felt.

"No, shut up Yoongi. He's leaving you for Jin, remember?" He growled to himself. Jin said they were leaving soon. He didn't know how soon, but he sure as hell wasn't happy about it either way. Jimin, his boyfriend, didn't want to tell Yoongi himself?!

No wonder he was with Jin so much nowadays. He must've loved Jin. Tch, he should've seen it coming. Just like Yoongi, Jimin fell in love with the person he was saving. Did this always happen? The person I should really blame is the author.

The guilt in his chest kept rising, however, and eventually it surpassed his anger against his boyfriend. He could just imagine Jimin crying in his room, thinking he was worthless and probably deserved it. Which he did! Need he remind Jimin of the tattoo he had? To prove Yoongi loved him? Was he just going to throw that away??!

"Yoongi, supper's ready!" Father shouted from downstairs. He sighed and decided to take a break from the fight from two hours ago. He grabbed his phone for no particular reason, and then went to eat dinner with his father.

"So, how's Jimin? I thought he was coming over tonight." His father asked. Yoongi sighed irritably, rolling his eyes as he stabbed his food angrily and put it in his mouth. His father let out a little "ooooh boy, what happened, son? Get in a little fight?" His father knew about them, being in a relationship and all. Thankfully he took it neutrally. He wasn't against it or with it at first, but now he accepted it. It's been 6 years or so, after all. "Listen son, I think you two should talk it out. It's never healthy to—"

"He said he was moving away. With another man." Yoongi said, sounding really bummed although he didn't want to. Technically Jin said it, but they still meant the same thing. His father furrowed his brows, finally sighing.

"Invite him over. Right now."

Yoongi contemplated. Why would he want Jimin over? He suddenly said, "What if he doesn't come?"

"He'll come. Jimin's not like that. He's so full of hope..." He mumbled the last part to himself. His father worried for him solely because of that. Having too much hope, then having it ruined... That would smash his dreams for sure.

He didn't know how true he was.

It took the boy a few minutes of more contemplation, yet he didn't come with an exact answer. Either way, he just sighed, frustrated and texted Jimin to come over only because his father said he would ground him if he didn't. His dad gave him an encouraging glance. He scoffed. Yoongi wasn't sure if he was even going to come.

Half an hour later, his father called him back down from his room, where he was brooding again. "Somebody's at the door go get it." His father said, sitting on the couch and watching movie. Yoongi rolled his eyes, walking to the door.

He opened the door, greeted by a chubby little boy, his head hung low so he couldn't see his face. "What, too ashamed to look at me?" He snapped, crossing his arms as he leaned against the doorway.

Jimin didn't answer.

He inhaled, looking away. Don't feel guilty... "You're right, I should at least invite you in." He waited for the boy to come in, but he didn't move. "What? Why are you so quiet?"

Slowly, the boy dreadfully lifted his head, showing an ugly purpled bruise on his eye. Immediately Yoongi grabbed the boy by his arm without hesitation and pulled him in, closing the door and touching his chin so Jimin could look him in the eye to see if he was okay. Just then, he realized what he was doing and slowly let his fingers slide off of the boy's soft skin, backing up a step.

It was crazy... He still wanted to touch him.

Yoongi saw the red swollen skin around his inflamed eyes, probably from crying. The spotty bruise looked fresh; his parents must've hit him. Just the thought of that had Yoongi squeezing his fist tightly, a building rage bubbling up inside of him. He wanted to beat them to a pulp. All the years of abuse, and he wanted to fuck them up so badly. But he was angry at Jimin. He controlled his anger for his parents, chewing his inner cheek as he did so. He'd definitely still get them someday... "Let's go to my room."

"Enlighten me." Yoongi said, attempting to ignore the temptation to snuggle the boy and tell him everything was okay.

Jimin immediately opened his mouth, "I—"

Knock knock knock!

"Yoongi? Jimin? Are you there?"

They turned their heads to face the door. Yoongi's father stood there, waving his hand for them to come over. "Guys, come watch the movie." He prodded on and on, leaving the two boys feeling empty but complied with his father anyway because they loved him.

Yoongi's father sat down on a separate couch, leaving the two 'lovebirds' to sit together on the bigger one. Jimin sat down next to Yoongi, wanting to be close to him, but Yoongi scooted away so their thighs weren't touching. It left a pretty big gap in between, leaving Jimin feeling disheartened the whole time.

The lights were dimmed, so it was easy to miss the bruise on Jimin's face; most likely why his father didn't see it. While Jimin and Yoongi were watching the movie, his father made an excuse to leave the room and hasn't come back since.

"You're staying for a sleepover." Yoongi said. Jimin faced him with wide eyes, but Yoongi's gaze was locked onto the TV. "My dad told me to tell you." From the corner of his eyes, Yoongi could see the black haired boy turn his head to face the TV again, depressed, disappointed, but... yeah, he could see a glimmer of hope in those eyes. Now he looked at the boy, staring at his beautiful face. He was still pissed, don't get him wrong. He felt hurt and wronged about this situation.

Jin was to blame, too.

Even with the movie playing and making noise, it felt like there was an awkward silence overtaking the two. "... Do you need anything for your face?"

Jimin looked down, a hand hovering over his face, careful not to touch his bruise. "I-I'm good."

"Look at me."

Jimin didn't look. Yoongi got irritated and instinctively, he grabbed Jimin's jaw roughly and made him look. When the movie flashed bright scenes across their faces, Yoongi could see that the bruise had puffed up enormously since he last saw it. His eye was practically closed, a little bit of sensitive tears were in the corner of his eye as the body's way of healing.

"Jesus Jimin, you should've told me!" He let go of the boy's jaw, "Just like you should've told me about moving out." Yoongi stood up and walked out of the room before Jimin could say anything. Jimin sat silently, head hung low without saying a word. Yoongi walked upstairs into his room, so he could grab something out of his bathroom cabinet. Maybe just rub some cream over it?

"Why am I helping him?" Because you're not that much of a dick, Yoongi.

Yeah, maybe.

Nonetheless, he couldn't help but stay there and lean against the sink, staring into the drain.

-  -  -  -

Yoongi is mad at me.

No matter how hard Jimin tried, he couldn't understand why. And no matter how much times he wanted to ask, he was always interrupted. Anxiety had taken over his mind at this point. Jimin didn't understand anything. Why was Yoongi mad at him? What did Jimin do?

Did he somehow hurt his feelings? Maybe he thought the bruise made him really ugly looking... Maybe he was mad at his parents? But why would he let it out on Jimin? Perhaps Jimin said something wrong... He must deserve it.

Jimin was fiddling with his thumbs for the longest time, debating whether or not he should follow Yoongi upstairs or write in his diary he brought. It had been a while since he went up, so he was certain Yoongi wasn't coming back down. Besides, he lost his taste in the movie long ago, although it looked like a good one... Cautiously, he snaked his legs off the couch and slowly walked to the hallway, thinking going to see Yoongi was more important. But he was hungry... He didn't have supper at his parents' house. Normally Yoongi and his father would allow him to eat whenever he wanted.

... No, he was going upstairs. "I-I need to ask..." He mumbled to himself. He felt his throat dry up and his legs turn jelly, however he pushed past that in an attempt of bravery as he waddled his way up the stairs. His head was down the entire time, only staring at his feet as Jimin tried to calm himself down.

"There's nothing to worry about... Yoongi only had a bad da— Ow!"

"Jimin? Why are you here?" Yoongi stared at Jimin with disgust. Jimin was at the doorway of his room – he was about to go in but Yoongi walked into him on the way out.

"I-I was just... I wanted to talk to you." Jimin stated. He kept a stern foot down, although he felt like crying about this whole situation.

Yoongi brought out his hand, which made Jimin flinch with fear as he lowered his head and winced. He tensed up and expected a cold hard slap to the face, but all he felt was a soft cool thing against his eye. "Here," Yoongi said, lifting Jimin's head up by the jaw again. "I'm only helping your eye. Calm down ba-... Jimin." Jimin cried softly when he heard Yoongi correct himself. No tears escaped. He simply felt heartbroken.

"I'm going to... I'm going to tell my dad you haven't eaten anything." Yoongi pushed passed Jimin and left the boy standing in more anxiety and misery. He walked to Yoongi's bed, sitting down as he wondered just what went wrong.

"Is he going to breakup with me...?"

I love Yoongi. I don't want to lose him.

However he did feel bad for Jin. He told him he would visit him today, but he chose to come over and see Yoongi. Jin said he had a surprise, too...

But what did Yoongi mean by moving out?

-  -  -  -

I'm trying to make the best of this as I can.

If he was leaving soon, might as well keep a decent relationship with him before he left.

Nope, he wasn't even mad anymore.

He just didn't want to see him right now. Yoongi was angry at his feelings. Why must humans be so emotional? God why can't he just nap off this conflict.

Yoongi rubbed his tired eyes when he got into the kitchen, wanting to talk to his dad about Jimin again. Taking another step forward blindly, he strangely felt liquid under his foot. Immediately he jumped and let a little yip escape his lips because of the warm feeling it had. He opened his eyes and looked down at the ground, tilting his head in confusion.

Blood?

The exhaustion that was in his eyes a few seconds ago was now completely gone when his eyes trailed to the body, on the floor, right in the blood puddle. "D-Dad?!" His voice was shaking but he didn't know what to do. He slowly crouched down, hoping to fucking god his dad was okay.

It was just a slip. It was only a slip. If anything, it was just a bad fall. He slowly turned his father's body over, hands trembling with fear because his dad was facing down and silent. As he turned the body to face him, a fresh, bleeding hole was seen in his chest. Immediately tears fell down his cheeks; he couldn't control them. "Daddy! Wake up! Why aren't you w-waking up!?" He started shaking his lifeless body that wasn't responding to him.

"Daddy?!" He repeated, hoping that would bring him back. "Daddy! Please wake up! Don't leave me! Daddy...!" He choked back a sob, curling into a little ball. He quickly stood up however.

He was murdered. Where the fuck was the murderer?

"Jimin..." He started. He wiped his tears, walking away but slipped in his own dad's blood, falling to the floor. He stared at his hands, spotted with his dad's blood. His lip quivered and he stood back up, "Jimin...!" He mumbled, making his way to the stair steps.

He needed to save Jimin.

"Jim-" His eyes widened in fear when the shadow of a figure came from in the living room, walking to him. Before he could even comprehend what was going on, he heard the man speak.

"Tsk, this is such a shame. I'm sorry, your father knew who I was. Not only that – you're in the way, too. Goodnight." Before the poor boy could say anything, the man put something over Yoongi's mouth and he was out like a light.
