Chapter 23
"Are... are you sure?" Jungkook nodded with a little blush evident on his puffy, swollen face. Yoongi wasn't sure what he was up to, blushing like that... "H-He's gone out to catch the bad guy, Kookie." Yoongi interrupted the moment. Jimin didn't look so strong, even though he knew there was abs on the guy like no tomorrow. Maybe that was because the old Jimin was still persistent in his mind. "I promise I'll be back, baby. The bad guy is out there, and I don't want Jimin hurt." Jungkook nodded and snuggled back in the blankets, keeping his wide eyes on the door.
Yoongi, feeling a little guilty, put the TV on with a kids channel show playing, the volume low. He didn't have time to see what was playing but he was certain there was a lemur hopping around with two grown-ass men. Walking out the room and closing it behind him, the boy left a quick goodbye.
The black haired boy rushed down the stairs and, surprisingly, he wondered if any of the other people in their apartment rooms were ever in their rooms at all. Surely there should've been some sort of note of disturbance... well whatever he wasn't complaining. Because he was stressed out, he ran his fingers through his hair, not realizing he was ever holding his breath in the first place, either.
Where did they go?
"Excuse me, did you see anybody coming through?!" There was a man that was passing by from the apartment, which meant that perhaps he had a chance to catch—
"A pink haired boy was running down a hooded man..." He mumbled, pointing with his chin behind him. As if on cue, cop cars flung passed him and headed down that direction as well. Without hesitation the boy followed them, hoping that Jimin didn't get in any trouble.
When he arrived there were the cop cars covering the scene, along with a crowd of people that enhanced in it, too. He shoved passed the crowd, earning a few shoves back as well and even some grunts and cussing. He ignored them as he passed the barrier of people, but was forced to stop when there were cops preventing them from getting into the scene. An ambulance came along, opening the doors and bringing somebody inside. Wounded.
Yoongi's heart felt shattered. If Jimin had been hurt he'd never forgive himself. He tried getting a good view, but he just rolled his eyes and snickered because everybody kept shoving him back, all attempting to see what had happened.
Some people were muttering about the Black Butterfly serial killer and that he had his next victim. Some of them were rejecting the idea, thinking that the Black Butterfly serial killer was just a hoax – somebody pretending to be something they weren't. What they didn't know was that Yoongi had a part of this, and that the Black Butterfly serial killer was indeed true.
He decided to stay even when some people were leaving, as the police said that everything was done and there was no need to worry. Yoongi wanted to know if Jimin was okay. He had to know. When the crowd had dispersed enough for him to have a good enough view, he involuntarily gulped. There was blood on the ground, but there was no other person. Who was in the ambulance? Where was Jimin?? Was he the one injured?
Fuck. He didn't have a car.
"For fuck's sake." He hissed, gripping his hair tightly. The last time they went to the hospital was through a taxi... But he didn't have money on him right now. Fuck! How was he supposed to go see Jimin? He might be bleeding out! Hold on. If Jimin was in the hospital, then where was the murderer?
"Jungkook!" He ran back to the apartment, hoping to god that he wasn't with his Kookie. He opened it with his key card and practically burst it open. When he saw Jungkook, a cookie in his mouth, with wide eyes staring at him, Yoongi cracked a smile at how stupid the scene was and how relieved he felt.
He rushed up to the boy and snuggled up to him. The boy slapped at Yoongi's arms a little, obviously confused as to why he suddenly hugged him. "I'm just glad you're okay." The black haired boy put his head in the crook of Jungkook's neck, but still tender enough not to squish at the bruises.
"I don't know what happened. Somebody was put in the ambulance and I don't know where Jimin is." He finally explained, pulling away. Kookie chewed the cookie, pointing to the TV. Yoongi was a bit worried about the cookie because it wasn't a liquid food for Kookie's bruised throat, but he'll let it pass for now. When he saw the TV, Yoongi furrowed his brows.
"... The Black Butterfly killer was caught tonight, injured. He was brought to the hospital..."
That-that man that attacked Jungkook was the man that gave Yoongi those notes? He blinked a few times, listening to the rest of the news, but found nothing went to his brain. The murderer was connected to Yoongi. He knew that much. He supposed he had Jimin as the suspect all wrong...?
But if that man was the one in the ambulance... "Where's Jimin?"
"Right here."
Both boys on the ground shot their eyes to the entrance. Jimin wore a little smile, looking down at the two. For a moment everyone was silent, and then Yoongi broke it. "H-How did you...?"
Jimin didn't quite understand what he was talking about, but then his eyes widened then his eyes darted around the room suspiciously, "Uh, well, remember when I said I hit the gym often?" He giggled nervously, bringing a hand behind his head. "He wasn't as strong as I thought."
"How did he get hurt?"
"He um... He tried to kill me with a knife, but he stabbed himself instead. Kinda weird how he's the Black Butterfly murderer, being so fucking clumsy..."
"Yeah, I hear you. I don't exactly think that he's the murderer. He might be a murderer, but not mine." Yoongi suddenly felt a wave of exhaustion take over. He supposed his lack of sleep and his dying adrenaline was taking a toll on him.
"Tired?" Jimin tilted his head, noticing how very tipsy Yoongi was. He raised a brow, looking over Yoongi. "Both of you?" Jungkook nodded, rubbing his eye.
"He should take another pill," Yoongi mumbled, getting up. Jimin nodded, sitting down to watch over Kookie while Yoongi was gone.
He felt a little tug at his shirt. It was Jungkook, getting his attention. "What is it, Kookie? He's gone now, don't worry. He won't be getting out of that hospital." He assured. Jungkook smiled, but apparently that wasn't what he wanted to know, because he typed something down on his phone.
Kookie: Are you okay? You didn't get hurt?
Jimin froze, unable to say anything. Did he just ask if Jimin was he okay? "Jungkook..." His eyes fluttered, his smile gone for a moment. "Wow I'm sorry. I-It's been a while since someone... Ahem, yeah, I didn't get hurt. It's okay, Kookie." He twitched a smile once more. He was going to get up and leave, but then felt arms wrap around his neck. He was pulled into Jungkook's hug, not daring to do anything in case he broke it.
They remained like that. He could feel Jungkook's heartbeat against his own chest. The warmth of Kookie's body sinking into his own. He could even feel Jungkook's hand patting at his back. "Hugging... feels so nice." He breathed in Kookie's scent, finding it just as pleasing as Yoongi. They were both so wonderful... Jimin didn't deserve them. He felt the younger boy let go of him, and so naturally, he was to look at Jungkook in the eye afterward. But he felt a warm pair of lips on his, instead.
Jimin's eyes were wide. He was quiet. He stayed still. Those warm lips quickly went, and he was left feeling confused.
Kookie: I have to tell you something
"What... What is it?"
Kookie: Me and Yoongi... we would like to date you. Together.
There was a noise coming from the kitchen, making Jimin stall what Jungkook had said and stared at Yoongi, looking at him as well with pills and a cup of water in his hands. There was a lump in his throat when he noted the way Yoongi stared at him. Yoongi's fingers rubbed against the cup anxiously. He looked nervous. But a hopeful nervous. It made his heart fill with anticipation, too. Like somehow this could work. Like it did before.
"Do you... do you guys... mean it?"
Jungkook nodded. Somehow, even his swollen, tired, bruised face looked god damn attractive.
Kookie: Your face is red jiminnie~~
The pink haired boy's face went an even deeper shade and he slapped his hands on his head, squealing something incoherent. He heard Jungkook make an attempt of a chuckle, but it sounded extremely tense and painful. This made Yoongi snap back into reality and crouch down, giving Kookie the pills and water.
"Y-You guys shouldn't –" He stuttered, "I-I don't know what to say." Jimin whimpered, despite the growing smile on his face. He was too happy. This was going to hurt him later. He shouldn't want this as badly as he did.
And yet he took it.
"A lot's been happening recently; we should sleep first." Yoongi interrupted. Jungkook nodded, yawning as he remembered how sleepy he was. "Jimin, as our first act of... lovers," He paused on that word, "We want you to sleep with us – here, like last time."
Jimin gulped. Last time was okay, but now that this was after their... what, declaration of love? He felt his heart fluttering in his chest. What the fuck. He was just almost murdered not even an hour ago. And here he was, giddy as a bird.
"Okay."

He's still screaming in my head.
"You betrayed me!"
But that wasn't the truth; he knew what was coming ever since he went loose.
It was his fault.
I don't feel bad about it. Does that make me a bad person? Jin taught me this. I was ready for these kinds of things. Because I'm a monster.
But Jimin felt guilty for lying to Yoongi and Kookie.
What if, when Yoongi finds out, what if he doesn't love him anymore?
Of course that's what will happen anyway. He didn't know why he kept getting his hopes up. But...
I just want to feel like this while it's still here.
