Mey - Rin x Female!Reader

She couldn't do it. Mey-Rin was known for her eyes, and she soon took up the role as assassin, but there was just one thing she couldn't do. She could kill you. She had been ordered to kill you a while ago and the deadline was coming up, she she spent day after day following you, observing your schedule and waiting for the perfect time and place to do it but she couldn't seem to find one. She couldn't bring herself to kill someone she had become attached to without even speaking to you, but she had to do it or else she would get fired and she would end up from square one, jobless.
As you were walking home from work, your [H/L] [H/C] hair blowing in the wind, you pulled your jacket closer around your body and tightened the scarf slightly. You were supposed to be getting picked up but your friend obviously forgot about you so you had to head home in the cold, dark and gloomy weather of England. The wind had blocked out most noise, and the rest was blocked out by your thoughts as you started speeding up, the feeling of being watched was overwhelming. Little did you know that there was someone on the rooftops watching your every movement, a gun pointed towards you at all times.
She watched you as you lived your normal life, leaving the house for work or social gatherings, the occasional party once every few months after all, she had been putting off this killing for more than a while. She even walked around on the ground instead of rooftops, just so she could get closer to you. But one day all that changed, and that day was when she finally, and accidentally, pulled the trigger. It was a dark, foggy, rainy night and something had flew into Mey-Rin which caused her finger to twitch and pull the trigger. As she saw your body fall to the floor the blood leaving the bullet wound, she didn't hesitate to run towards you, wiping away the tears that had started to fall. When she finally reached your body she fell onto her knees and hugged you close to her, the sobs not stopping for any second. After God knows how long of sobbing Mey-Rin noticed a piece of paper, which was ever so slightly soaked due to the puddle of blood surrounding you, hanging out of your pocket. She reached for it and read your delicate handwriting, feeling her stomach tighten.

Dear Miss... Whoever.

I've never been the overly curious, or observant, type so when I FINALLY realised you were spying on me for, well, a while, I shrugged it off and lived my normal life not letting it bother me but then a thought came to me. Why are you not asking for anything? I never do anything that was worth observing, so I asked a few people some hypothetical questions and it all lead to the same form of answer.
Death.
And I thought, surely you didn't want to kill me I couldn't even harm a fly even if I wanted to, but in this crazy world people want to wish others dead for no reason.
So I decided to write this letter for you in the hopes you would read it whenever you would fulfill your task at hand, and I'm guessing that's been done now if you're reading this.
You seemed to struggle with killing me, and that was something I never got around to figuring out, and when you followed me around on the ground instead of the rooftops I noticed how sad you looked and doing this must've been so very hard for you. I wanted to write this letter to tell you that even though you might've been the one to pull the trigger, it was the people who ordered my death who loaded it, aimed it at me and commanded fire and I wish for you not to dwell upon it or let whatever negative thoughts consume your mind. What's done is done and I hope you find happiness soon, you seemed liked someone I would've gotten along with.

Mey-Rin held your body even closer, her eyes squeezed shut as a pain had hit her heart. She had done this to someone who probably didn't deserve it and she could do nothing about it except give you a proper burial, that only she would attend as no one would know about since that is how she always got away.
But she would frequently visit your grave, placing new flowers on it each time. It wasn't long before your friends found your grave, and instead of questioning it they grieved for you and accepted your death, just like Mey-Rin had.

Here's a n o t h e r  shitty update. Sorry it was short, I didn't really have motivation to write this but it had to be done or else exams would've gotten in the way and I would've never updated.
