"Rose, you're up now." Joker said as he smiled at you. You nodded as you got on stage. You didn't have a major part in the circus, you just did disappearing acts. You stood still as Dagger appeared on stage too. You had done this lots of times before so you knew the drill. Dagger smiles as he faced you, knives in hand. He smiled and tilted his head before throwing a few at you. The audience gasp and muttered as they were hurtling towards you. You threw a cape over you and you disappeared, leaving the cape to be impaled by the knives. Dagger walked over to collect his knives and the cape. He threw it up in front of himself, and as it fell down it revealed you and Dagger smiling and waving. The audience cheered as you both bowed and walked off the stage. You were both talking and smiling before your conversation ended by Dagger walking ahead more, probably talking to Beast. He always left you for her and he never seemed to notice that you liked him. It hurt you. A lot. What also hurt you was the fact that Beast didn't like Dagger, she liked Joker. You and Joker were best friends and you both decided to try and get Daggers attention, by flirting with each other. Dagger was talking about taking Beast on a date when a tall figure walked over to Beast and lifted her leg. He commented about the mark and Beast got angry. You stayed silent as Beast tried to attack said man. You watched as he dodged her moves, smiling slightly to yourself.
You stopped smiling once Dagger got involved. You appeared next to the man, grabbed him and moved him away from Daggers knives. After all. Disappearing was what you did best. He was raging at you telling you to stop and when you didn't he finally did.

"You should stop chasing after something that you just won't get." You spat before you smiled at the man as he thanked you and walked to your tent. You had to share with Dagger as you were the newest and they didn't have enough tents for you to have your own, even though Doll didn't sleep in her own tent. You weren't in the mood to deal with Dagger today. You were speed walking to your tent when someone stopped you causing you to turn. You were about to shout at the person to get off when you saw it was Joker. By this point you had taken your wig off and let your [H/C] hair loose.
You didn't have to say anything for Joker to know you were hurt. He immediately hugged you close as you sobbed into his chest, being shorter than him after all. You failed to acknowledge the fact that Dagger had followed you to see if you were okay, and you failed to acknowledge the look for jealousy and hurt on his face when he saw you hugging Joker.

The next day you woke up earlier than usual and for ready quietly, not wanting to wake Dagger and have to deal with him. You went to bed earlier than him so you could avoid any conversation between the two of you. Once you were ready you left the tent and headed towards Jokers tent. He was always awake early and you just wanted to be in his company.
When you entered his tent he didn't say anything as he was getting ready for the day. You just sat on his bed fiddling with your fingers. Once he was finished he held his arm out. You linked your arm with his and he smiled at you. You smiled a small smile back as he lead you to get breakfast. You sat next to Joker for breakfast, which was strange because you always say next to Dagger... Who sat next to Beast who sat next to Joker. It didn't matter because Dagger would always try and get Beast's attention while she tried to flirt with Joker. When Beast and Dagger saw you they both shrugged. When the walked over and you didn't move up they raised their eyebrows. You could feel their eyes drilling holes in the back of your head as you looked away from them and focused on the story Joker was telling you.
Once breakfast was finished you were getting ready to start off the show. After Joker said his part you and Dagger got on stage and re did the act for the people who weren't there to see it the day before. As Dagger was getting ready you looked at him and wondered where you went wrong. By this point you were lost in thought and failed to realise Dagger has threw the knives at you. You were brought out of your thoughts when a figure appeared in front of you and grabbed the knives. You looked up and saw it was the new guy, Black. You were confused at what just happened and before anyone knew it you ran off stage. Not once since you joined had you messed up and you were annoyed at yourself. Nothing was going right anymore. You ran off in a random direction. When you finally stopped running, you didn't run far, it was never your thing to run, you slid down by a tree and cried while spacing off.
It must of been a few hours later when Joker found you. He said that you missed dinner but you told him you weren't hungry. You sure were cold though. Joker must've noticed your shivering because he took off his jacket and put it around you.

"Thank you." You whispered to him as you reached the medical tent, it's where everyone usually was and usually gathered to gossip basically. As you stepped into the tent, everyone's eyes were on you. Daggers and Beasts eyes were on the jacket around your shoulders. You were about to take it off and give it back when Joker stopped you and smiled.

"Keep it until the morning." He said as he walked off. You walked over to Dagger, Beast, Doll, Wendy and Peter. Everyone was laughing and cheering while you just listened, but didn't really acknowledge what was being said. You didn't even realise that Dagger had slowly moved closer to you. This was the closest he had ever gotten to you, he normally tried to get this close to Beast. Your eyes started to droop and he noticed as he started walking you to your shared tent. He wrapped is arm around your waist but no words were exchanged. Once you got to your tent Dagger to the jacket off and turned away as you got changed into your nightgown. Once you got changed and got into bed your eyes immediately shut as the pull of sleep was strong. Just before you fell asleep you felt Dagger kiss your forehead.

"Sweet dreams, my love."
