Severus follows Harry to the plat form and Harry looks at Severus, "Are you not going to be going ahead of us?"

"Considering what happened last year I believe I should make sure you actually make it, so I will be going with you." Severus tells Harry.

Harry sighs. "Okay. Let's find Ron and Hermione." Harry quickly finds Ron considering the red hair is not hard to spot, and luckily Hermoine is right with him. they bord the train Severus right behind them and start to look for a compartment. 

After a little searching Harry finds a compartment and freezes. He grimaces and goes to close the door. "Harry i think this is going to be the only one we can take, are you sure you want to pass it up." Hermione says looking at him a little confused. 

Harry huffs. "Fine." he mumbles and lets his friends and Severus go first. Ron and Hermione sit across from the sleeping man closer to the window Harry sitting next to them by the door, Severus across from him next to the sleeping man. 

"Why is a teacher on a train, who is he anyway?" Ron asks looking at the man who is wearing old worn clothes. 

"Remus Lupin." Both Harry and Hermione say. 

"How do you know?" Harry asks.

"It's on his suitcase. How do you know?" Hermione asks.

Harry crosses his arms and looks away. "He was my dad's friend. He was planning on marrying my godfather Sirius Black after the war." 

The compartment is silent as the train begins to pull out of the station. Harry tries to look anywhere except for the man that is sitting on the other seat. 

At some point the man moves slightly before opening his eyes and looking at Harry. "Harry." he says softly.

Harry glares at him. "Yes?"

Remus smiles. "You haven't changed much. You still look like your father. What happened to your eye?" He asks reaching his hand out. 

Harry smacks his hand away. "Don't touch me. And maybe you'd know if you bothered to write to me."

Remus sighs, "I really am sorry Harry I meant to. There was just so much going on and with Sirius in Azkaban."

Harry rolls his eyes. "You don't get to just not talk to me for five years and come back and act like everything is okay."

Remus looks down then looks at the two kids across from him then Severus who is still dressed as Harry's butler next to him. "I've read in the papers you were working with him, but I didn't think it was true."

"Youd of known it was true if you bothered to be there for me." Harry mumbles. 

Remus sighs. "Harry really I'm sorry. Just let me make it up to you."

"You can't Remus."

Remus looks away and the train comes to a stop the lights shutting off. 

Harry looks outside then opens the compartment door seeing other students are doing the same. He frowns and shuts the door sitting down seeing ice has started to form. Harry looks at Severus who is staring at the door window eyes turned red pupils now slits. Harry really hopes no one has noticed this. 

Then a shadow slowly floats up the isle outside stopping in front of the door making Harry start to feel dread. The Dementor tries to open the door, but Severus slams it shut and holds it bearing his sharp teeth at the Dementor. The Dementor "looks" at Severus before continuing its way down the train. 

Severus stands there for a moments and Harry watches as his eyes goes back to their black color and his teeth also go back to "normal" before sitting down.  

Remus stares at the window. "What are they doing on the train." he mutters to himself. 

"Are there going to be dementors at Hogwarts?" Harry asks. The ministry must be really worried if they are sending Dementors to protect the school. 

Severus hands Harry Ron and Hermione a piece of chocolate so they can feel better. 

"Do you think they will try to attack any students?" Hermione asks Remus. 

He shakes his head. "I'm sure they won't unless they think that student is in contact with Black."

The lights turn back on, and the train goes back to moving. Harry eats his chocolate quietly trying to push away the lingering dread from the Dementors. Though the chocolate does help with that. 

The castle slowly comes into view and Harry smiles slightly. 

"So, this is the second year we get to Hogwarts, and something happens. Does this mean we won't ever not have an incident." Ron asks as they grab their robes to head to the bathrooms to change. 

"I hope not." Harry mumbles. "An easy year would be great." 

Ron nods in agreement. "So. Professor Lupin was a family friend?"

Harry nods. "And he ignored me the past few years. I sent plenty of letters, but he never responded."

"Well, he better work hard for your forgiveness then." Ron tells him. 

They get changed and head back to the compartment and it seems as though Remus left the compartment. They take their seats and even though the dementor scared the hell out of him and he doesn't really want to be around those depressing beings he is a little excited for the school year. And now he can see a threstle more closely.
