[so this side story takes place in the last chapter from Luze/Luke's prospective it's when he snuck out and just in case you don't know when he sneaked out its by the time when Sebastian is talking to Emily]

Luze's POV

I had slipped away from phantomhive manor my lady was with the Earl at the ball I had "business"that I had to attend to in London I was on my way back to make sure no one suspected my departure. I saw a flower Cart which displayed white roses, I instantly thought of her, her smile, her laugh, the nostalgia I felt when I saw those flowers urged my body to go visit her. I found myself in a graveyard this was where she rested this was where she was put to rest and it was all his fault, it was because of him, that I had no choice but to end your sorrowful life. It was because of Sebastian Michaelis that you were out of my reach and that I couldn't save you from your loneliness and the sadness you bore I remembered how you used to be when you lived and you remembered who I was.

I looked at the roses I had bought just for you they resembled you so much.

Like a white rose you bore Sweet innocence....in this world ignorance is blissful and yet it's sinful..I remember when I lived in blissful ignorance only following orders I was given, never questioning my existence....until you came along....It happened so long ago sometimes I wonder how I am able to recall "Those days" as if it were yesterday?

Flashback Centuries ago....

"Commander luze the portal has been opened!!"

"Good it seems it's time to get rid of those blasted Cheshire cats once and for all."

'I was given orders to exterminate the Cheshire cats beings who were blessed with the abilities to tamper with the past and future of ones lives being able to grant unimaginable desires to humans but also dangerous enough to kill demons themselves...they were becoming a threat to the demon world they had to be eradicated.'

The army passed through the portal and entered Their world.

"Commander luze this place it's...."

'I thought the world the Cheshire cats lived in was going to be a horror scene filled with blood and violence it was quite the opposite their world reminded us of how heaven was before we foolishly disobeyed and were forcefully casted out into this earth.'

I snapped out of the fantasy in my head, I had to follow my order perfectly and efficiently.

"All of you know your orders kill every last one of them, remember they have 9 lives you're going to have check if they come back to finish you off the weapons we forged are harmful enough to injure them greatly but one blow won't kill them, you must remember all of them have different abilities, different strengths if you lower your guard...you will not see an afterlife got it?"

"Yes, commander luze!!"

And with that they charged off to kill every last Cheshire Cat in existence. My soldiers were orders were to kill the cats I however had a different mission, my mission was to destroy the temple of rebirth. If a Cheshire Cat dies they are reborn again inside the temple with new strengths and abilities.

I had never stepped foot on their realm I did not know where the temple was so I assumed it looked like a cathedral as I charged through the forest I heard animalistic screams and demonic cries.

It wasn't going to be a fight without losses on both sides those who foolishly turn their backs will be cut down by the Cheshire cats. The males were the most violent as for the females they were more docile but if threatened they could be as frightening as the males.

I had seen the temple from afar I had exited the forest before a male Cheshire Cat blocked the bridge to the temple.

*HIIIIISSSSS* "You're here to kill us! It is futile to try and kill us as long as we have the temple we will never die!!!"

I grabbed my sword and aimed it at him "Your reign of immortality ends by my hand."

The male Cheshire Cat lunged at me with his fearsome claws as it clashed with my sword his claws did not break, but my sword did.

'Impossible how?!' 

I jumped back dodging his quick attack "Your claws...they broke my sword when you struck them how?"

He gave me a Cheshire grin at my acknowledgement "A Cheshire cats claws can cut through anything even a reaper's scythes meaning cutting through you should be as easy as splitting a leaf in half."

With that he sprinted towards me, my eyes widened as I swiftly dodged the attack

'He's fast!!'

As he tried to slice me in half with his claws he struck the bridge several times.

*CRACK CRACK*

'The bridge it's gonna collapse if I don't cross to the other side to the temple the Cheshire cats will keep on living!!'

I made my best to jump over the male Cheshire Cat however I had done the forbidden I had turned back towards them, he took the opportunity to use claws to pierce my leg embedding the claw deep inside it

"Aaaaahhhh uuughh!!"

*CRACK!!*

The bridge collapsed I had almost managed to make it across I held myself for dear life on the edge of the now collapsed bridge there was just one problem there was a male Cheshire Cat hanging onto me by my leg

*HIIIISSSS!!!* "You won't get away with this demon I'll kill you!!"

The Cheshire Cat used its claws to climb up my body and kill me.

'I'm going to die!!I'm going to die!!'

"Luze!!!"

I looked up to see my second in command his name was Seth who had a bow and arrow he shot the approaching Cheshire Cat on the head and he fell, he fell into the abyss that awaited him, seth grabbed me and pulled me up.

"Are you alright luze?" He asked

"Yes, I'm fine...ugh."

My leg gave out and I crouched down to the ground for a few seconds.

"You're injured luze." Seth glared

"I said I'm fine I'll heal up quickly right now we have to get to the temple." I strained

"Luze our numbers are decreasing each second if we don't destroy that temple we are all going to die here." Seth stated.

"Yes, I'm aware I need you to protect me while I enter the temple let's go."

Seth helped me up, he basically carried me into the temple.

The temple was filled with a bright light...suddenly we were ambushed by 3 Cheshire cats Seth used his bow and arrow to kill them.

I Walked over to the bodies. "Why are they not being reborn?" I asked.

"It takes a long time to be reborn there's never been this type of situation before an all scale massacre is taking up all the temples powers into rebirth of the cats it's taking longer than it would normally." Seth answered.

"Let's go we have to hurry before they come after us." Seth warned.

We traveled further down the temple to what seemed like a lake with glistening crystals inside one could see their own reflection in the lake.

"So this is the waters of rebirth?" I asked.

"Seems so....all we seem we have to do is destroy that large diamond and the temple will lose its powers." Seth said.

I tried walking over the water to get to the diamond but I was far too weak to do anything.

"I'll do it luze you stay here and check out the area I'll be back."

I fully trusted Seth even with my life so I explored the temple in much more detail. I wandered around the halls of the temple I was startled when I heard the movement of water moving.

[A/N play music]

That's when I met you....you who had been recently reborn and was completely innocent and unaware of the filth and danger of the world. You captivated me with your innocence.

"A Cheshire Cat? But you haven't grown your ears and tail yet?" I questioned

She looked at me with innocent eyes she was laying in the water surrounded by roses her hair wet and her dress stuck to her body as she tried moving. I could only stare at such beauty then she smiled at me, an innocent smile.

When she smiled at me I felt something I never felt before it was a warmth was this happiness or joy? I couldn't remember the last time I felt this emotion.

I took a step towards her suddenly an earthquake shook the temple.

'Had Seth done it?! Had he destroyed the diamond?'

I looked at her she was panicking looking for a place to escape so she could feel safe but her body wouldn't move.

My attention was averted when I heard my name being shouted It was Seth, I answered

"I'm here Seth!!" I shouted

He soon arrived where I was in, he ran towards me.

"There you are we have to leave this place...Luze get back it's a Cheshire Cat!!" He shouted

He pushed me away from her and grabbed his bow and arrow and aimed to kill her.

Her eyes widened she was frightened and started shaking In fear.

I stepped in front of him putting myself between them.

"Wait Seth!! She doesn't even know what she is! You can't kill her."

Seth glared at me "What are you talking about?! A Cheshire Cat is still a Cheshire Cat whether she has her ears and tail or not."

I glared at Seth "I won't let you kill her Seth she doesn't know anything she's just been born."

"Luze we have been ordered to kill every last one of these creatures are you disobeying your orders?" Seth questioned.

"Seth does she look like a threat to you?!" I exclaimed.

"It doesn't matter what she looks like she's going to die wether you want to or not." Seth stated.

Suddenly the ground broke apart creating a crack on the ground as the world started to break apart. I looked at the girl she was so scared experiencing this horror for the first time.

A piece of the ceiling broke and was going to fall on her. My body moved on its own as I grabbed her and saved her from harm, she held me tightly.

"Luze!!!" Seth yelled.

"I'm sorry but I won't allow you to kill her." I stated.

"You don't get it do you? This whole mission has been to kill the ones that can kill us as we speak our army is killing the males, females and the young ones, killing is no different than killing them." Seth reasoned.

"She's...different she's not like the rest of them I won't let you kill her Seth even if it means I have to kill you to save her." I glared.

"Luze you go now with that thing on your arms you'll be declared traitor to the demon world and your punishment will be worse than death you do know that right?" Seth warned.

"Yes, I'm aware this is goodbye forever Seth." I apologized.

"Dammit Luze I won't let you do this!!!" Seth exclaimed

"Samiel..." I summoned

An ice dragon appeared in front of us. Samiel casted an ice wall preventing Seth from getting near me I sat on the dragons back and instructed it to fly away.

"LUUUUUZZZZEEEEE!!!!"

"I'm sorry Seth."

Samiel flew away from the temple I could no longer recognize the world it was filled with fire and ashes blood of Cheshire cats and demons filled the air.

"Samiel we're leaving this place let's go."

Samiel flew to the portal and passed through it sending us back to the human world. Once he landed he disappeared leaving me and the girl, the last only Cheshire Cat left in the world. She had passed out in my arms when Samiel was summoned and now was in a deep sleep.

"Why do I feel such a strong urge to watch over you and protect you? I've never felt like this before."

I looked at her more closely she was so beautiful, to me she looked like a human, it was odd most Cheshire cats are born with their ears and tails how come she hadn't been born with them or would she ever grow them?

It was turning into nighttime in the human world I had to run away far away, I found an abandoned house near the outskirts of the forest where the portal was located.

I entered the house I used my powers to light up the fireplace and the lights in the house I found the bedroom I laid the girl in the bed and covered her freezing body with the blanket she looked so peaceful sleeping guilt had washed over me.

I had destroyed her home, killed off her companions and suddenly kidnapped her and brought her to this world, she had been born and had already suffered so much, now she was my responsibility I would now have to take care of her and it was my job now to protect her.

Flashback over

Luze's POV

I stood in front of her grave, the grave that kept the girl I held most dear to me away from my reach. I placed flowers in her grave I kneeled and I confessed my feelings as if she was still with me and she could somehow hear me.

"My whole world and my purpose to live all changed when I met you. You were the light that dispersed the darkness inside of me. You were the one who made me feel so many different things so many different emotions I had never thought I'd ever feel again you were the my heaven the one thing I thought I lost I had once again....but I lost you to him and you suffered greatly because of him and I couldn't take your pain away I could've taken your memories of him away and maybe seal your pain away but I didn't and now you're forever lost to me and him but not for much longer I will find a way to bring you back and when I do we will be happy once again like we used to be...right Marie?"

Time skip...Phantomhive manor

"Luke I was worried about you where were you?" Emily stated

"I was attending to some business in London I'm back now where's the young mistress?"

"She got lost in the west wing but Sebastian went to go get her." She stated

"That's fine.."

"Are you okay Luke?" Emily asked worried

"Yes, I'm fine I'm just tired that's all."

2 updates in one day?! How awesome am I? Anyways I had finished this chapter way before the last one so yeah this the backstory they'll be more detail to the backstory later on but for now this is mostly it.
