Cynthia's POV

We returned to phantomhive manor after our investigation of the laboratory. Sebastian greeted us.

"Lady Cynthia it's a pleasure to see you come back safely." He said.

"Thank you Sebastian where's ciel?" I asked.

"Lord phantomhive is in his study right now and he has rather important news to tell you." He said.

"Really?" I exclaimed happily. "I can't wait to hear it."

"Luke prepare tea and snacks for us." I ordered.

Luke bowed. "Yes, my lady."

Sebastian escorted me to Ciel's study. We entered the room and ciel was reading the newspaper. He placed it down when Sebastian announced my presence.

"Hello Cynthia take a seat I have something to tell you." He said.

I sat down in front of his desk and waited for him to talk.

"Cynthia I've been waiting for you I see that your investigation was successful?" Ciel asked.

I sighed. "Yes, but my investigation only led to more questions."

Ciel tilted his head. "How so do explain?"

I started telling ciel the story about the investigation.

Luke's POV

My lady ordered me to bring her tea and snacks to where she and lord phantomhive were, at his study. I went into the kitchen along with Sebastian and started preparing the tea.

"So how was today's investigation Luke did your lady find anything interesting?" Sebastian asked.

"I believe that is our business and my lady's business please refrain from meddling in our work." I politely asked.

"My my why so hostile? I merely wanted to know if you found anything interesting worthy of sharing." He said.

"No, there was nothing that I hadn't already seen before." I responded.

"I should tell you before you are surprised but my master and I will be lending a hand in this investigation of yours, so it would be appropriate to tell us the details of your investigation today so tomorrow we know what we have to look for." He said.

I was shocked. "What?! But why?! My lady would not agree to this!"

Sebastian shook his head. "My lord seems determined to help in the investigation I am in no authority to refuse or oppose him."

I bit my lip 'Damn that Michaelis and his brat.'

"Our masters are waiting for us as butlers we should not keep them waiting." I said smiling.

"Yes, you are right." Sebastian said.

Sebastian grabbed a plate of the sweets and I grabbed the tea cart.

Suddenly...

*CRASH!!!!*

Sebastian dropped the plate of sweets and he dropped to the floor kneeling.

'What's happening? Is she reacting to me right now?! If she is I have to get out of sight!'

Sebastian was panting desperately grabbing his heart as if it was going to be ripped out he groaned loudly.

"Haaaahh...."

'It seems I'm right I better get out of here before it gets worse.'

I turned around and was going to exit the room when I felt the overbearing presence disappear.

I turned around and saw Sebastian sigh in relief.

Suddenly it was over and Sebastian was able to get up. He fixed his shirt and his tie and was now leaning in front of the sink.

"Are you alright Michaelis?" I asked.

"Yes....I'm fine you should go we shouldn't keep them waiting I'll be there shortly." He said.

"If you assume so then I will take my leave." I said.

I grabbed the tea cart and made my way to the study.

'Why did she suddenly stopped? It's strange these events usually lasts for longer periods of time than this, I wonder what caused this one to be so short and almost painless?'

I shook my head. "Honestly I've got to stop worrying I must go bring the tea for my lady."

Sebastian's POV

I was leaning on the kitchen sink, Catherine had suddenly reacted to something she caused me great pain to rush into my body and caused me to drop the desserts made for my master and the guest.

I fixed my uniform and and looked out the window.

I sighed. "Maybe I just need some fresh air."

I started taking out the ingredients to make the sweets for the guest and my master. Once I was done I brought it up to my master, I knocked on the door.

"Come in." His voice said.

I entered with the sweets, my master looked irritated.

"About bloody time Sebastian what took you so long?" He asked.

"Apologies my lord I accidentally dropped the first batch of desserts and had to make a new one." I explained.

"You dropped it? That's strange." He stated.

"If you'll excuse me master I must attend to other things right now." I said.

"Very well you may leave Sebastian."

I bowed and left the room to go outside and get some fresh air.

Cynthia's POV

"What's wrong with your butler Sebastian is he sick?" I asked.

Ciel shook his head. "Hell if I bloody know, don't worry about him, he'll be fine."

Ciel finished his tea and looked at me. "Now I wanted to tell you something Cynthia I assume that you haven't gotten that far into your investigation am I right?"

I nodded my head. "Well, we have gotten some I formation but it only brings up more questions as to what really happened at the laboratory 6 months ago."

Ciel nodded. "That's why I've decided to lend a hand with my resources as the queen's guard dog we should be able to resolve this case sooner than expected what do you think about this?" He asked.

"I guess it's alright I have very limited power investigation wise in London you probably have more Intel than I do, very well I will allow this to happen." I said.

"Good then we shall start tomorrow going to interview the witnesses and survivors at the hospitals." Ciel said.

"It's almost dinner time my lady." Luke said.

"Where is Sebastian he's usually doing supper at this point?" Ciel asked.

"Luke go find Sebastian and Emily and start preparing for dinner okay." I ordered.

Luke bowed and left the room.

Sebastian's POV

I left the manor to go outside and get some fresh air also I had to do some of the yard work since finny "accidentally" ruined the flower beds.

I went over to the white flower bed and started fixing the flowers once I was done I stared at it so see if it was perfect.

*BADUMB BADUMB*

"Ugh!!"

My chest started to hurt and I started to feel dizzy. My vision was failing me and I felt different.

It changed into a different scenery It no longer looked like the manors garden it was no longer same place.

"What are you doing here?" A voice said.

I looked around trying to find the voice, when I saw a girl touching a bush of white flowers she turned around to the voice.

"How many times have I told you to not go outside without my consent?" The man said.

I was far away, I couldn't see his face I could only see the girl.

"I'm sorry I wanted to go outside I didn't want to be stuck inside all day." The girl said.

The man sighed. "It's dangerous outside I've told you if you want to go outside you should ask me first."

"But it's not fair the village girls get to go outside all the time and I have to stay inside and be a good girl it's not fair!!" The girl ranted angrily.

Tears sprung among the girl's eyes as they trailed down her porcelain face.

The man touched her face. "You don't understand humans are afraid of what they can't comprehend, you're different than those girls, If they were to see you they might be afraid and hurt you."

"But I hate being different, I want to be like them!! Why can't I change and be like them?!" The girl asked.

"It doesn't work that way you're special to me I can't let them know about you...it's better this way, understand that you're special." The man said.

"I don't want to be inside the house anymore I want to go to the village and see the people and go to different places like you do all the time!!" The girl cried.

"........"

"You go to the village and talk to the people.....you're different but nothing happens to you...so why can't I go with you why?..." The girl sobbed.

The man hugged the crying girl and she automatically clung to him.

"You're still young, when you grow a little more we can talk about this, but for now come back inside it's getting dark." The man said.

The girl pushed him away rather violently, the man was shocked.

"Yesterday you left to go to the village, but I heard from the servants that you left to talk to the village girls...." The girl said through her silent tears.

The man was surprised, but his face softened and he smirked. "My my don't tell you were jealous of those girls? Were you now?" He asked.

The girl blushed and crossed her arms tightly. The man laughed slightly.

"As I said before you're different than those human girls and more precious than any human I've ever encountered thus you own my undivided attention if you're lonesome you should just say or are you too prideful for that?" He teased.

"Shut up!!" The girl spat angry tears falling from her face.

The man pulled her close and kissed her lips deeply, then he kissed her neck, he pulled away and held her waist tightly against his. "Tears don't suit you my dear, the only thing that suits you are the flowers you love the most, their white color and intoxicating fragrance."

The girl kissed him back, somehow she looked happy. The girl pulled away.

"You're still too young for me to make you mine, but when your golden eyes look at me that way, you make it difficult for me to control myself..." He said.

'Golden eyes?! Is that Catherine?!'

The girl giggled, and hugged him.

"I'll protect you no matter what." He said.

*BADUMB BADUMB*

For some reason that statement cause my heart to ache.

"Can we go back inside now?" He asked.

She pulled away and nodded. "Yes, my lord____."

I didn't hear the man's name he grabbed the girls hand and left the garden.

My vision blurred again and I found myself back at the manors garden however it was dark and the moon had already risen. I slumped back into a nearby wall as I recalled what I saw.

"What's that a fragment of Catherine's memories?"

And if that was true then that means the man in her memories was her lover.

*BADUMB BADUMB*

My heart started to race.

"Catherine..." I whispered.

Meanwhile.....

Emily's POV

My eyes narrowed as I stared at Sebastian slumped over the wall.

'This can't be good'

"Taurus.." A voice called.

I turned around and saw Luze

"Luze you're here." I said.

"Yes, what's going on I need to find Michaelis and ask about dinner." He said irritated.

"Lord Luze. I have some bad news about Michaelis." I said.

"Yes, what is it Taurus?" He asked.

"It seems that fragments of "her" memories are starting to show up in his mind my lord." I stated.

He smiled." I have no reason to worry about fragments."

I was confused wouldn't this be dangerous for us instead?

"Why are you so confident?" I asked.

He smiled. "Fragments are a blur they do not paint a clear picture fragments are incomplete meaning that they hold no meaning if it's only one piece of a puzzle." He explained.

"The only thing I should worry about is complete memories, those are the ones that are dangerous the ones that Michaelis is experiencing are fragments meaning he's not completely inside the memory when complete memories start to show Michaelis will find himself inside the memory instead of a supernatural presence." He said.

"Until that day comes we don't have to worry about that right Luze?" I asked.

"Yes, we shouldn't worry however my plans are being delayed much more further as this investigation goes on I have to get the materials for undertaker while my lady conducts the investigation tomorrow I need you to the supplies for me." Luze said.

He leaned in my ear and told me the supplies he needed.

"Why do you need all of that?" I asked.

He smirked. "You'll see soon enough, but for now help me prepare dinner our lady is most hungry."

Hi guys I'm back on wattpad I'm sorry I took such a long time away it was because of my school and some important events happening there like tests and stuff so yeah. And I had vacation so I took a break and decided to research some stuff for my books.

But anyways I'm sure that now I'll have more time to write and update more frequently.

Note: Emily only calls Luze lord when there's bad news.
