Ronald Knox's POV

I was sent by administration to help William senpai with the collections of souls tonight

I was jumping from roof to roof in London when I felt a familiar wavelength

"Evangeline senpai!"

I jumped down to her side I picked her up and held her against me

"Wake up Evangeline senpai!"

She weakly opened her eyes

"Ronald?"

"You're alive I'm glad what happened Evangeline senpai?" I asked

"I fought against the Cheshire Cat and lost" she stated

"You idiot we are never allowed to engage a Cheshire Cat without the higher ups permission you know that" I scolded

"I guess I forgot about that part" she weakly chuckled

"Stop talking it'll hurt you more if you talk" I scolded

"......My glasses"

"Eh?"

"My glasses they fell when I was fighting the Cheshire Cat they must be somewhere" she said

I looked around and saw them at the corner of the wall picked up the cracked glasses from the floor and placed them on Evangeline's face

She looked at me with such sorrow on her face "I need to get back to our world quickly Ronald"

I looked at her stomach I knew she was pregnant she had told me first about it

"It's faint it won't survive, you won't be able to save it Evangeline you should tell William senpai" I informed

"No! you can't tell him you can't tell him I was pregnant the time he was away and that I lost the baby I have to be the one to tell him" She begged

"Alright I'll have someone get you Evangeline senpai please hold on till personal gets here" I begged

She nodded her head I stood up and started running because I was already late for the collection of souls

Meanwhile Sebastian's POV...

Everyone was dead except me and the young master, he ordered me to kill them all once we found out what the children were being used for

"Master it's done"

"Burn it"

"Burn it the mansion you mean? but master from what I've gathered our mission was to capture the kidnappers and rescue the children the kidnappers are already dead___"

"Shut up! Don't leave behind anything burn everything to ashes or have you forgotten your job it's that's an order!"

I sighed I took of my glove and walked towards the candle the fire tripled power

The fire spread to the entire mansion lighting everything on fire consuming everytime in its path

"Yes, my lord"

With William T spears...

"Son of prostitute Karen Taylor no record of his name no final notes" I said as I stamped his name

"I can't believe what personnel was thinking when this is clearly not a one man job...Ronald Knox"

"I'm sorry William senpai but I'm pretty sure I felt I hurried oh or is it that you're disappointed it's me?"Ronald asked

"No it's not that I thought I was going to get him since he was released today from suspension being wrong is an undeniable stroke of luck anyways once we are done I can go back to Evangeline" I said

"Yeah about that William senpai?" Ronald said

"What is it Knox?"

"Never mind" he finished

"Anyways most of the victims died by burning however a demon started the fire" I explained

"Wha? Really"

"Humans do irrational things when their emotion is involved"

"Our jobs as reapers is to evaluate and collect those who are in the to die list their is no room for emotions also we have to file a report if a demon makes off with one of the souls there will be paper work" I explained

"Yes I'll do my best also there's a party at the secretarial pool today so I'm not working overtime" Ronald said starting up his death scythe

"Ronald Knox is that death scythe approved?"

"Yes I have a lady friend in general affairs all the paperwork is in order"

"Alright then let's start" I said

"Roger"

Meanwhile Sebastian's POV

"What the hell is this black what happened where's joker?!" Doll asked

"I'm afraid he's passed away"

"No that can't be get smile say something!"

"Don't call me that!! my name is ciel phantomhive the queens guard dog" master said

"Ciel phantomhive...the queen's guard dog so you are with the yard you came to capture us?"

"No I'm afraid we came here to eliminate you" I said

"Eliminate?"

"Yes That's right I dispel her majesty's worries so I killed them I killed joker and kelvin I killed them both" master said

"So then everything everything was a lie?"

Doll collapsed unto the ground and cried

"You'll pay you'll pay you'll pay!!" Doll said

She started running as she grabbed a knife from her sleeve and came towards us

"...Sebastian"

**Meanwhile outside of the mansion**

"Hehehe I told you to take care of your soul since you only get one with your great power means you stop feeling the weight of what can't be undone, I wonder how many times have I told you this eh earl phantomhive?"

"I must be getting back to the shop preparations must be done for a special someone's funeral but first I must get rid of the pests"

Catherine's POV

I felt something warm underneath me a red liquid pooling more and more around me

'I can't move at all...my heart it's gone'

I tried moving my head towards the side I saw my short white hair it was turning black

Slowly the tips of my hair turned black and it kept turning the strand of hair from white to black

"I guess this is it, this is really the end of me"

Nine lives completely wasted now it was the end my final life slipping away my heart was now gone I could no longer move my life was fading away

I felt a sharp pain in my body

"Ugh!!" I groaned

How was I still breathing if I had no heart? My body cannot regenerate I saw my life flash before my eyes all my life played back as a film

All my nine lives my previous masters, my friends, my enemies all were there and also Luke was there he was part of my past undertaker was also a part he took me in gave me a name and took care of me

And finally was ciel and Sebastian

Tears fell from my eyes as I saw myself and Sebastian we were so happy back then as past turned into present the record forwarded to our very last time we ever spoke to each other

"I hate you!! I hate you Sebastian Michaelis!!"

Those words echoed in my head as I regretted saying those words to him if I had know those words would've been my last then I would've chose instead of "I hate you" I would've said "I love you"

Those three words that killed him

My body felt cold and heavy as one last tear fell from my eye

"I'm sorry Se Se"

And with that the darkness engulfed me and I was no more

My soul vanished leaving behind an empty corpse buried underneath a pile of ashes

Falling from darkness
To a place I don't know
Everything's moving with no place to go
I feel so alone and scared
As I fall I wonder "is anyone there?"
As the days and nights pass by
I count the nights I just lay and cry
Falling from faith falling from love
Please is there anyone up above?
Never did I want to feel like this
When the answer lies with the slit of the wrist
My mind is racing to find another solution
Before it's too late, I'm just an illusion no one knows how I really feel
I just want him to hold me and help me heal
As I fall, I feel rain
I begin to think that he isn't the key to ease my pain

Luke's POV

Catherine's heart stopped beating I held it in my hands

I felt a sense of emptiness engulf me

"I did it for you Marie no longer you will suffer the pain from this world you're safer when no one can reach you"

"Hehehe where do you think you're going demon?" A voice chuckled

I turned around

"A reaper what are you doing here? I'm pretty sure I'm not violating any regulations concerning souls" I informed

"No you haven't however you have a Cheshire cats heart in your possession" the reaper said

I smirked "May I ask your name then it's rather rude to not introduce yourself?"

"They call me undertaker and I will be taking that heart from you?" He said rather confidently

"Really what will a reaper do with a Cheshire Cats heart?" I asked

"It's none of your business demon" he spat

"Then I'm afraid what I do with the heart of a Cheshire Cat is also not your business now I shall get going" I said turning around

Undertaker took out his death scythe, I frowned

"Do I really have to fight you old man?" I said annoyed

"Well you can avoid this if you just give me the heart__"

"Not going to happen" I interrupted

"Then it means we're going to fight" undertaker said

I placed Marie's heart inside my jacket safely

My eyes flashed demonic "Well then let's begin" I said

Sebastian's POV

Me and the young master arrived back at the townhouse the next night

The young master was still healing from his asthma

"Sebastian you're going to look for Catherine she should be at undertakers if I am correct? Bring her back no matter the odds that's an order" master said

"Yes my lord"

I exited the townhouse and went directly to undertakers shop

I entered the shop "Undertaker my young master has sent me to look for Catherine is she with you"

"Hehehe is she know maybe if you tell me a joke I'll consider your request" undertaker

I sighed "roses are red
nuts are brown
Skirts go up
Pants go down
Body to body
Skin to skin
When it stiff
Stick it in
The longer it's in
The stronger it gets
It goes in dry and comes out wet
It comes out dripping and starts to sag

Undertaker bursted laughing at the joke

"Hahahhahahahahahhahah you my good sir are a comedy genius"

"Yes, now tell me where Catherine is?" I demanded

"I don't know"

"What?"

"Like I said I don't know I haven't seen her ever since you both came to my shop"

"So you don't know where she is?" I assumed

"Now what will you do butler?"

"I'll look for her" I assumed

"Check the bridge near stein laboratory I heard there was a fire near there yesterday killed almost everyone those who survived said it was a monster in the form of a cat" undertaker said

My eyes widened I quickly exited the undertakers shop and made my way towards stein laboratory

Stein laboratory should be at the end of this part of town

I quickly arrived at the scene the laboratory was utterly destroyed it was in shambles and burned down

'Do not cross' signs were placed all over

I went inside the laboratory I sniffed the air

"Something definitely exploded here"

Blood was smeared all over as if whatever killed these people had painted the walls with them for fun

"Alright time to look for Catherine undertaker said the bridge but which one" I wondered

I exited the laboratory a few miles away I could see a bridge it was unusable because it was destroyed a few years back and due to rising levels of water could not be rebuilt

My demonic eyes flashed as I saw a figure under the bridge

I jumped from the bridge down to see a girl

I approached the girl my eyes widened as I realized it wasn't just any girl it was Catherine she no longer had her cat ears and tail they had disappeared, her hair was no longer white but black and her eyes were from its lovely gold to pitch black

There was blood that had pooled around her body

"Catherine" I called

No response

"Catherine" I called a little louder

No response

"Catherine the ground can't be comfortable so get up" I said

She didn't move

I walked towards her and grabbed her body and held it against my own

"You're cold, your body is freezing and you're covered in ashes"

"Catherine c'mon wake up look at me" I encouraged

I clenched my teeth "Do anything!! Look at me, yell at me, move do something!!" I yelled

But she didn't move she didn't react her empty eyes were the only thing my eyes met

"No you can't be...dead you have nine lives...you can't be dead...c'mon wake up Catherine please" I silently begged

I placed my hand on her face "C'mon I know you can come back to me please Catherine"

She was empty there was nothing left, her souls had left her body and it wasn't going to come back and it was my fault, everything is my fault

"No, I won't accept this I won't lose you Catherine"

I bit my wrist and let the blood fall into my mouth as my mouth filled with my blood I kissed her cold lips as my blood transferred to her body

I pulled away and waited for her to wake up.

I waited and waited but she never did

I clenched my teeth in anger "I won't give up, I won't let you go!"

I held Catherine's hand towards me and bit her arm I drank the blood from her body into my own

'Her blood is so cold'

Once I was done I pulled away leaving a few drops streak down from my chin to the ground

Anger took over me I gripped her frail body almost breaking her bones

And for the first time in my long life as a demon I felt sorrow and despair

Goodbye

The truths now unfold
The story is now told
Crying eyes
Hidden lies
Just to many goodbyes

Now it's forever, like before
But now it's different
I have closed the door
Sorry is just a word
And now the memories will become blurred

I held Catherine tightly not wanting to let her go hoping she could somehow hear me I apologized and begged for her forgiveness

"You gave me a hug I gave you a lie. You gave me happiness I gave you a reason to cry. You gave me your care I stabbed from behind. You gave me some advice I gave you a piece of my mind. I am sorry for having given you nothing in return for you have given me everything. I Am Sorry"

Sebastian held Catherine's body bridal style as he stood up from the ground and looked at her for the last time

Anger, despair, sadness all those emotions that he hadn't felt in so long came flowing into his body

He looked at the moon he hated this night, for too much blood was shed by his hand and his beloved's death had driven him mad

The ground shook, the bridge fell apart, his rage was an unstoppable force that only she could've tamed, but she was gone no one could stop him now, his despair tore him in two drowned in his sorrow like a banshee he screamed at the moon, hoping it was a nightmare that he dreamt hoping to see her smile again, but he knew it was over her long journey had reached its end she was now out of his life, she was somewhere he couldn't reach...at least this way no one could ever hurt her again

Well it's simple to explain when undertaker found Catherine she was already at her 8th life

In the side story Catherine's first kiss(ciel and Catherine)

Finny tackled Catherine knocking the air out of her when Sebastian when to her rescue he tried to save her later in the chapter mey rin screams because Catherine's body temperature has risen this was a sign of her reincarnation or resurrection meaning Catherine died in the 4hour gap in the side story

When Catherine woke up she was waking up from resurrection and thus meaning she was at her last life also when everyone leaves Catherine to rest she sighs and looks at the ceiling saying this

"That place it's so lonely, there's nobody there I'm all alone I never want to go there again"

"That place" is the dream world or Cheshire cats realm that has been empty for thousands of years due to extinction of Cheshire cats
