Catherine's POV

Sebastian and ciel left for the circus to investigate they'll be gone for some time, I was sitting in the living room playing chess with prince soma Agni brought curry and tea

I sighed

"What's wrong Catherine are you bored?" Soma asked

"No, it's not that it's just that I miss sebastian and ciel"

"I miss ciel too" soma pouted

"Miss Catherine we seem to be running out of bread since your bored why don't you go and buy some?" Agni said

"Okay!" I said getting out of my chair and running upstairs to change

Soma's POV

"Agni why did you ask Catherine to buy bread isn't there a stack of it in the kitchen?" I asked

"Yes, my prince but if Catherine is bored she'll have lots to think about which means she'll think about me sebastian and get upset if I gave her a task she would worry about doing it, also Sebastian's instructions said that Catherine needed exercise or she would get very anxious I don't know what kind of exercise me sebastian does with her but I think walking could be better" Agni said

Catherine's POV

I quickly changed into other clothes a small dress and I hid my ears in a small hat

I walked downstairs to where Agni and soma were

"Oh Catherine you look so adorable! here Agni will give you some money" soma said

"Here miss Catherine 1000 pounds and here you can put the bread in this basket" Agni said giving me the money bag and the basket

I took the bag of money and the basket "I'll be back shortly see you later" I said

"Goodbye come back safely Catherine!" Soma exclaimed

I walked to the market place it was lively I only ever came here once and it was with sebastian when he bought ingredients to make a pie for ciel

I went to the bakery inside the shop

"Hello there little lady how can I help you?" the shop keeper asked

"2 loafs of bread please"

"Of course my Dearie here you go that'll be 8pounds" he said

I gave him the money and he gave me the loaves of bread

"Have a nice day" the shop keeper said

"Thank you" I said smiling

I walked outside the shop and it started thundering meaning it was gonna rain

"Oh no!" I exclaimed

"The townhouse is 20minutes on foot I'll never make it in time" I said to myself

I started running and quick to get to the townhouse before it started raining

I was so focused that I bumped into someone dropping the bag with the bread

"I'm sorry I didn't see you!" I apologized crouching down to pick up the bread

"It's no problem, but why are you in such a..."

He looked at me and me at him

"Your...your that man from last time" I stuttered

I couldn't forget he came into my room and urged me to go with him, but why didn't I feel afraid of him it was the complete opposite my heart was pounding wildly against my chest the more I looked at him the more wildly my heart would beat

"Marie...so nice to see you again" he said smiling at me

"Marie? why do you call me that?"

He just shrugged his shoulders picked up the bread turned around and walked away

"Hey! come back I want to speak with you!" I called

I quickly got up and picked up he bread and went after him

He kept me running to catch up to him he walked towards an alley I soon found myself in the alley alone with him

"Huh? where did he go?" I said to myself

I walked backward but bumped into someone chest

"Huh?"

I bumped into his chest

"Marie you must really want to talk to me if you were wiling to run this far away from the market" he said teasingly

I looked at him very seriously

"I want to know why your keep calling me Marie!" I demanded

"Silly girl" he said in a blink of an eye he snuck up behind me and whispered in my ear"Because that's your name isn't it"

"My name? Marie" I stuttered

*BADUMP BADUMP!!*

"Ugh!" I groaned

I felt my heart racing and my head was hurting

"As a Chesire cat you live many lives however no matter how many lives you live your still Marie to me and to our master as well" he said

"Master?...no my master is ciel earl phantomhive"

"No, it's Dr. Matthew of Chesire" he whispered

"Dr. Matthew? Chesire"

"Ugh!!"

My head starting hurting it was filled with voices laughter and an image of a man I never seen before

"That's right Dr. Matthew he misses you very much Marie won't you see him once more" he said

"See him? my master"

"Yes, your master is waiting Marie you must go to him"

He took my hand and kissed the back of it

"Yes, I must go to my master he's waiting for me" I said

"Yes, he's waiting Marie let us go and see him once again"

He knocked my hat of my head letting my silver hair and ears exposed as he caressed them

"I-I...I" I stuttered

"Won't you come and say hello it's just for one night once your done you can go back to the townhouse" he whispered caressing my body

I dropped the bread I held in my hand as he took my hand and pulled me towards his chest in an embrace

"Marie your his most precious..."

SEBASTIAN'S POV

"Why am I here you asked?" William said

"Honestly I cannot believe I an administrator has to do field work because if 'him' I didn't know graduating with him meant I'd have to make up for his work because he's suspended"

"So that means undercover work is for certain desperate measures?" I asked

"Why would I tell soul related information to a demon? it would be like letting loose rabbits in front if a wolf"

"I have no urge to feed on cheap souls" I said

"Really? wise words for a demon, but I know your half mad with hunger" he said

"I only desire high quality souls the hungrier one is the more satisfying dinner becomes" I said rubbing my stomach

"How perverse" he said disgusted

"Not as perverse as your subordinate I'm afraid" I retorted

He looked at me for a sec

"Fine in a few days a large collection I souls will be conducted in this area that's why I'm here" he said

"That sounds exhausting should I help?" I said

*SHINK!!*

Williams death scythe pierced my hat sending it flying up in the air

"I cannot abide unpaid overtime if you interfere I'll cut you down" he threatened

I took my hat and placed it back on my head

"Then I won't associate myself with reapers for fun anymore" I said

"I have no particular taste for cheap souls" I repeated again

"What about your pet isn't her soul cheap as well?" William said

I flinched at the way he addressed her

"Don't call her cheap she's a rare beauty I'm lucky I was able to find such a beautiful creature there are none like her in the underworld and her soul is just as rare" I stated

"A rare beauty huh? your quite blind for a demon haven't you seen that 'things' true face it's rather frightening than a rare beauty" he said

"Be grateful that Evangeline didn't kill her when she had the chance, a Chesire cat with no memory of her past is just like a broken record it will always emit an unpleasant distorted sound" he said

"Do you fancy her michaelis? Is it her innocence that drives you towards her like a magnet?"he asked

"Catherine is like the finest bottle of wine, rare and expenses, pure and exquisite, I would kill anyone who would try to steal her" I said threatening him

"Have you told her that you love her yet?" he asked

"Demons are incapable of love I only care for her" I said

"Catherine is perfectly happy even though I have not told her those words" I said defending myself

"I feel sorry for the poor thing constantly chasing happiness when clearly she will not have it" he said

"If I were you I'd think twice before acting remember every action has a consequence wether good or bad" he said

I ignored his advice I don't need advice from a reaper

"Oi reaper that obnoxious knife thrower wants to see you" young master said suddenly appearing

William looked at my master

"I don't see what's so special about his soul really I'll never understand demons" he said

"Don't call him that we're lucky they took it as a joke at first if you can't blend in with humans your no better than that ginger head freak" young master said

"We'll stay out of your business if you stay out of ours agreed?" I offered

"Yes, since I despise the very sight of you" he said

"Good then we'll stay away from each others ways"

"Hey smile keep your pup close to you" William said

"Ack! I will not have a four eyes call me that!" young master exclaimed

"I'm not a four eyes I am suit!" William exclaimed

"Lets go sebastian" young master said

"Certainly"

Catherine's POV

I woke up at a mansion in the outskirts of the town I never seen this part of town before

I looked at the window and forest was spread across the manor it didn't look like there was a pathway

"My you've woken up I was worried you passed out back at the alley" a voice said startling me

I looked behind me to see him the mysterious stranger who had visited me before he no longer looked scary, but now looked kind and beautiful much kinder than sebastian but not more attractive than me

"You scared me"

He chuckled "I'm sorry your jut adorable when you look flustered Marie"

I looked at my attire I didn't have the clothes I was currently wearing my short dress now replaced with a long flowing one with sleeves

"Did you change my clothing?" I asked

He shook his head "A proper butler would never intrude upon a young lady's dressing routine the maid did changed your clothes" he said defending himself

"My master wishes to see you Marie please allow me to escort you to him" he said extending his hand

I gave him my hand as he lightly grasped it

"What's your name? you never told me" I said looking up at him

"It's Luke, Marie" he said

Like escorted me outside to the garden there was a green house in the distance it was beautiful the sun was setting and lights illuminated the garden

"Here we are the master will shortly be with you" Luke said

I sat on the chair inside the greenhouse there were different kinds of flowers adorning the interior orchids, roses, tulips many beautiful and colorful flowers

The door suddenly opened to reveal a man probably in his thirties he wore a silver suit with no tie and his hair was loose and of the color brown

"I'm sorry I startled you,but I couldn't wait to see you" he said

"You've changed so much the last couple of months Marie I was worried sick something had happened to you" he said taking my hands in his

"I had Luke track you down and he said you had lost your memory how awful" he said

"Are you really my master?" I asked

"Yes, I am I remember the day I found you, you were so small and cute I took you in, I fed you, clothed you, educated you, when your 15birthday soon arrived you offered me a contract in return for my kindness" he said

He stood up and opened his lab coat and raised his shirt a little to reveal the rose stamped on his hip bone

"This is proof of our contract the mark in our bodies" he said

He sat down in the chair again

"If you and I made a contract then what did you want?" I asked hoping to fulfill his wish if what he had said was true I owed this man my life

He looked out the window inside the greenhouse

"Look at the time it's nighttime already I'll tell you some other time my wish you can stay here if you like Luke prepared a room for you" he said standing up

"Sorry, but I have to go back to the townhouse" I excused

"This road is dangerous at night it would not be wise to do that stay tonight you can go back tomorrow" he said

I looked down at the floor and then looked up at him

"Very well I shall do as you wish master" I said smiling

"Thank you Marie" he said

"Luke show Marie where she will be sleeping" he said while luke entered the greenhouse

"Of course doctor come along Marie" Luke said taking my hand leading me out of the greenhouse

We went back to the room I had woken up in

"Here are some night clothes for you Marie" Luke said

"Thank you Luke" I said

He bowed and left

Luke's POV

After Marie had gone to bed I went to my masters laboratory In the basement

"Master, Marie has gone to bed" I informed

"Good, C'mere Luke"

I walked towards the table there was different tea leaves and spices

"What is this for master?" I said taking a tea bag

He took it out of my hands

"Fool it's delicate this is a tea that will make Marie's body go to it's natural state"

"You mean the way she was before she was tamed?"

"Exactly however this will not give her a sense of free will she's still contracted to me I'm merely helping her go back to 'that form' the form that she was when it happened" he said

"That form is rather terrifying master, are you sure that she will be able to control herself?!" I asked

"Of course only in that form can Marie fulfill my wish" he said

"Luke this is an order give this to Marie every day until she is to that form" he said handing me the tea bags

I kneeled down "YES, MY MASTER"

Which means demons can show emotions they just choose not to they can also cry, love, hate etc....
