So this side story takes place 3days after Catherine's burial

The Young master called me to his study

"Why did you call me here young master?" I asked

"It's about Catherine"

I felt my body tense at the mention of her name

"I asked the servants to take most of her belongings and get rid of them however they are still depressed and unable to do so Sebastian I want you to clean out Catherine's room and after you are done I want you to seal the room up with wallpaper no one should ever go to that room" master said

Not only the servants and I were gravely affected by Catherine's death but my young master was affected by it, Catherine was like a mother or a nurse to my master he must miss her terribly it's only been 3 days since her death and no one misses her more than I

I bowed "Yes,my lord I shall do as you wish"

I left the room and my made way to what used to be Catherine's room I stopped myself in front of the door I struggled with myself

'How could I enter this room?where all the memories of her dwell inside, happy and sad memories the memories of us that also dwelled inside could I face them all flooding into me at once? Can I bring myself to show myself in there? But I have to'

I forced my body to move, I opened the door

The room was cold, empty as if no one had been in here for a long I remembered how Catherine used to pounce on me when I entered the room and then after she would bounce on the bed laughing and smiling

I sat on the bed a silence that engulfed the room I looked over to the pillows and held one of them close to me

I inhaled it still had her scent, the scent I missed so much suddenly I heard a chime....it sounded familiar

I looked over and grabbed the other pillow buried in between the two pillows was a bright blue collar with a silver bell

'This is!'

Flashback

The young master and I were practicing dancing for he ball at the viscount druitts mansion

"Master you're making the same mistakes again" I sighed

"It's your fault your going to fast!" He spat angrily

"Master you have to move with the music if the music is going fast then you have to adjust your steps to go along with the music" I instructed

"It's not like I'm going to be dancing at the ball" master said

"You might be placed in a situation where you have to dance if you blow your cover master it will not only shame you but your whole family" I stated

"We're done dancing for today we shall continue tomorrow" I informed

"I'm going to see what madam red is doing" master said as he left the room

I was soon alone in the room

I felt a presence behind me and quickly reacted by grabbing my intruder by the waist

It was Catherine she had been laying down on the floor on her stomach when me and the young master had started practicing

"Woah! easy there Catherine you're excited today" I chuckled

She smiled and bounced up and down "Se Se here" She handed me a box with a bow on it

"What's this? For me?" I asked

She nodded "Yep I got it in the town with madam red this morning"

I opened the box and got the present out

"A scarf" I said surprised(it's the one he wears when he's in teacher mode or tutor mode)

She nodded "it's for the ball tonight"

"Thank you Catherine Its wonderful" I smiled at her

She purred as I ruffled her hair

"I have something for you as well" I said

She tilted her head in curiosity as I pulled out a small box and opened it

It was a blue choker with a shiny silver bell in the front

I walked behind her and placed it around her neck the bell chimed from time to time Catherine turned around and smiled at me

"It's so pretty thank you Se Se!" She said happily

Flashback over present time

Tears escaped my eyes as I remembered that time

That time so long ago when she was still innocent and smiling, when she was cheerful and happy

All the time we spent together we were happy where did everything go wrong?when did we drift apart? Why had it ended like this?Could I have saved you if I had said I loved you? Did I hurt you so much, you couldn't bare to live on?

It's all my fault I'm the one to blame for this, I took everything from you and in the end you took your own life in order to escape the pain I made you feel

The silver bell chimed faintly as I held it in my hand

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Catherine" my voice broke

I fell the my knees in grief and sorrow "I'm so sorry it's all my fault"

I felt a cold feeling coming from behind me I felt someone's arms wrap around me

"Don't turn around Se Se...please don't" a voice begged

"Catherine...it can't...be"

I tried to turn around but I couldn't as if a force was keeping me still

"Promise to keep your eyes closed please Se Se" her angelic voice begged

"Alright I promise to keep my eyes closed" I said quietly

She removed her hands from my eyes I kept my promise and kept them closed as I turned around

"Se Se" Catherine whispered

I felt her hands wrap around my neck and she hugged me I sat down on the floor letting her rest between my legs as I felt her laid her head on my chest

I wrapped my arms around her of what I felt was her waist I held her tightly I felt her ears her soft ears and her wiggling tail

"Catherine is that really you?"

"It's me Se Se your kitten" she said

Happiness overwhelmed me, tears escaped my eyes

"I missed you so much" my voice broke

I was so happy to feel her near me, to hear her voice I wanted to look at her but I promised to keep my eyes closed however I was still happy

"I missed you too Se Se I love you" she whispered

"I love you! I love you so much Catherine" I confessed as I held her tightly not letting her go

Tears fell from my eyes ever since I lost her

"Don't cry Se Se"

I felt Catherine's lips pressed against me they were ever so cold I felt her face so smooth and soft

I felt like I needed to open my eyes I wanted see her once again

She broke the kiss and covered my eyes with her hands again

"Don't open your eyes!" she panicked

"Why?! Why can't I open them! Why can't I look at you even once?!" I tried to reason with her

"Because the Catherine you know and love had something taken away from her" she said sadly

"You can't open your eyes Se Se isn't the feeling that I'm here enough?" She questioned

"Catherine I wouldn't care if you looked like Grell when I opened my eyes I would still love you" I sincerely said

"You can't, you can't open your eyes if you looked at me then it would make you sad, you would push me away" she said

I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her towards me, she did not remove her hands from my eyes

I placed my hands over hers and removed them

"Don't Se Se please" she quietly begged

"I want to see you please Catherine I promise not to push you away" I said

I slowly opened my eyes to reveal my Catherine wearing a white dress and with her eyes closed

"See your still as beautiful as the first time I saw you" I whispered

Catherine turned away from me

"Hey what's wrong? look at me Catherine"

"Do you really want me to look at you Se Se?" She asked

"Catherine you have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen I want to see the beautiful gold in them, but more importantly I want to look at your face" I said grabbing her chin facing it towards me

Catherine slowly opened her eyes to reveal no gold no nothing but black eye sockets took their place

My eyes widened, in shock I shoved her body away from me

"That's why I didn't want you to look at me even though you promised not to push me away you did" her voice broke as a bloody tear fell from her porcelain face

I looked at my hands 'what had I done? She came back to me and I pushed her away once I saw her face my heart wasn't prepared for this I wasn't prepared to see her like this'

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to push you I was just shocked" I begged her

"Liar"

"Catherine I'm not lying please I want to hold you in my arms again is that too much to ask?"

She sighed as she closed her eyes and crawled back into my arms I held her lovingly she was still very uneasy

"It alright Catherine you have nothing to be afraid of anymore" I said

I grabbed her face my hands lingered as I wiped a tear from her eye

"What happened to your eyes Catherine?" I whispered

"Falling in love with a demon or a human is a crime for a Cheshire Cat, Cheshire cats who break the rules are punished my punishment was for the light to be taken from me, they took my eyes Se Se it's so dark I can't see I'm all alone" she cried as she held onto me

"But how could you find me or even grab me if you can't see?" I asked

"I rely on my hearing and my sense of smell now it's the only thing I have left" she said

"I'm sorry I'm so sorry Catherine if only I had been there you must've been so scared"

I embraced her I wanted her to feel safe somehow

"I'm here now Catherine so it's going to alright now"

She held me tightly "it's so dark Se Se I can't see, but I know you're here with me"

Her hands caressed my face

"It'll be alright because you're here now and you're alive" I said happily

Her body jumped slightly in surprise, her hands left my face and down towards my chest pushing me slightly as if she wanted some space

She shook her head sadly "No, wether you choose to believe or not I'm dead Se Se I can no longer be here in the world of the living"

My eyes widened in shock

I stood up in panic"No but you're here with me right now you're here in the world of the living how can you be dead if I can see you and hear you?"

Catherine stood up from the ground and grabbed my hand and placed it on her cheek

"I'm a Cheshire Cat once my lives are gone I'm nothing, but I'm still everywhere and nowhere I just cannot appear to anybody in physical form and you're a demon you can see what human beings cannot because of that you can see me, but not for long I fear" she sadly whispered

My eyes widened in panic"What do you mean?!"

"The borders that separate our world are weak because of that I was allowed to slip through and come here to say goodbye however the borders will close soon so I don't have much time before I fade away" she explained

I slumped to my knees "No...you can't...you can't go! you can't leave me alone Catherine!" I begged holding onto her for dear life

Her eyes were filled with bloody Tears "I'm sorry I can't do anything about this I have to go"

"Then take me with you we'll be together forever" I begged her

"I can't, demons cannot survive in my world you'll die from starvation I'll be all alone knowing I couldn't save you" she cried through her tears

I stood up and cupped her face tears falling onto my gloved hands

"Then stay with me here don't leave me" I begged

"I'm sorry I can't, there's a rule against it, I'll have my memories of you erased if I disobey"

"I love you Catherine, I love you so much I can't believe it cost me losing you to realize that" I stated

"I loved you Se Se I loved you more than anything in the world, why did it end like this, why can't I be happy?" She asked

"I don't know, I'm sorry I never said I love you when you were still alive, I'm sorry I didn't show you how much I loved you when I had the chance, and more importantly I'm sorry I let this happen to you, I did this, I did this to you" I whispered

She hugged me "The blood you consumed in your attempt to save me is the only thing you have now, my blood is in your body, inside of you in your heart I'll always be with you that way so you won't be lonesome anymore"

I held her tightly as tears fell from my eyes into the floor she started glowing a bright white light

She nuzzled my chest

"So it's starting"

I gripped her waist "no you can't, you can't go" I begged

"It's okay Se Se don't cry please it'll make me sad"

"How can you expect me not to cry when I'm never going to see you again?" I asked grabbing her shoulders

I turned away from her as I slid down kneeling on the floor my hands curled into a fist 'I'm so weak'

Catherine kneeled in front of me and cupped my face and placed her it on her chest over her heart it felt so soft and safe

My fist uncurled desperately I grabbed her waist I never wanted to let go

"We'll meet again I promise Se Se"

Her hands guided my face to meet hers she smiled as she caressed my face

"We'll meet again Se Se In a city of lights where the city never sleeps where liberty stands in a form of a woman there you will find me and we'll finally be together again...I have to warn you Se Se I...won't remember you"

My eyes closed in hurt 'she won't remember anything not even me'

She giggled I opened my eyes to see what was she giggling about, she smiled at me

"That's why you have to your best to make me fall in love with you again"

A smile spread on my face for the first time since I lost her "I'll do my best"

She smiled happily and nuzzled on my neck

She started fading away starting from her legs up, I gripped her small body tightly

"When we meet how will I know it's you?"

"Your....heart...will...tell" she answered weakly

She looked up and opened her eyes again and smiled at me one last time, her eyes that were black when she opened them started changing, I could see the once faint beautiful gold inside them now

"Goodbye Se Se...until we meet again..."

I kissed her lips our kiss wasn't like the others we shared I felt fire ignite inside of me I never wanted to let go of her I wanted to intoxicate her with my love, pour it inside of her so she would never leave me

Tears fell from my closed eyes as I felt her fading away, inside of me my heart yelled and screamed 'No! don't go..don't leave me alone...please Catherine!...'

The bright light faded away and I could no longer feel her lips on mine I opened my eyes to reveal the dark room she once slept in she was gone again from my life once more

As I stood up I picked up the collar with the silver bell from the floor a bright light came from outside the balcony I walked towards it to see the moon shining bright and the stars that accompanied it

I felt an aching in my heart I moved my hand over to my heart I knew it was Catherine even if she couldn't be with me physically she would always be with me

"Catherine I will find you and when I do I'll fall in love you all over again, but for now sleep soundly inside my heart"

This was incredibly sad to write I swear I wrote this about 20x times and tried to find the best way to end it but now I did so hooray for that also I don't know if I will write a sequel to this I mean I have a lot of sequels to write and books that I still have to write so I'll write a sequel depending on how many stars this book gets [aka votes]and how many people comment on that they want a sequel to this book so yeah

Anyways since I really haven't updated much and the reason why it's because recently my step great grandmother died and also my cousin left to go back home from her vacation so I'm pretty upset and also the time she was here kept me very busy but I was still writing I just hadn't published anything so yeah anyways
