At the North Gate. The only two ways to enter the Great Path would be the North Gate at Marae and the South Gate at Regalea but there is one more dangerous way but there’s no guaranty that you’ll even make it to land whiteout dying by the hands or claws or tentacles or whatever they have of a Sea Beast. Only those brave enough travel the sea and even braver, traveling the sea around the Great Path. There are curtain roots in the sea where it is save and you may travel, 2000 years ago the three families helped one another to mark these roots and after 2000 years with the demons in the Great Path and in their seas, the Antonios blindly made new roots, not knowing that there are still enemies who may use them, Takashi. At the border of the Great Path at Marae is a mile long brick wall to keep them out and in the country Narac which is one of the two countries connected to the Great Path in Marae, is the North Gate. It has seals and bindings on it to keep away the demons that Kione blindly summoned but luckily he was the one who build this massive wall to protect Marae’s civilians. On Regalea however, could the Antonios only build a ten yard wall and a pathetic gate with no seals or bindings which any small demon can just pass through, any normal demon can break it open and any bigger demon can simply jump over. In Regalea there is only one country connected with the Great Path and is named Xexal. Xexal is a country which is demon infested and no civilization lives there. At the end of Reles (the country at the end of Regalea) is where the Black Blood established the Antonios base is. The civilization on Regalea is rather poor because of one country infested with demons but Antonios is the most evanesced with technology so Antonios has made a civilization in Xexal’s underground. Every now and then a small demon which can dig finds them but their usually weak little things. The place Artemis and Maori are headed is in Canda, the only country in the Great Path. It’s small like the Fang Islands but 2000 years ago the Antonios and Nekori didn’t even know if it’s existence, even now the Antonios don’t have a clue. In the war it was used as the Takashi base for they have already felt before the war started that both families will turn on them so they made that base. It is known as the main headquarters and has all of Takashi’s weapons and inventions. Black Blood uses these weapons and Maori is usually in control of them for him being Black Blood’s weapon specialist but Kione is always the only one who can fetch these weapons because he is the only one who can go there and passing through the demons, but for Maori and Artemis going there, thinking Ernestine would be there is a massive mistake. At the North gate Divya is just strolling around, seeing if all bindings and seals are still intact while waiting for Kione and Ernestine to appear. At the North Gate are two skeleton guards which Kione posted there for in case any stronger demons Kione didn’t summon appear. The guards are staring at Divya who is just walking back and forth in front of the gate.

“Are you…you need some help?” One of them finally asked.

“Just waiting.”

“For?”

“Your master.” The guards stared at each other than whispered to each other.

“I knew she looked familiar.”

“Yeah she knows master Kione.”

“Should we ask her?”

“Ok.”

“Excuse me miss, how do you know master Kione?” Divya stopped and looked at the skeletons.

“He’s a Black Blood member.”

“So you’re one too?”

“Of course, you should recognise me, I’ve been here before.” They shook their heads.

“Nope.”

“Divya, ring a bell?” They stayed silent and whispered again to each other.

“Ernestine’s chick?”

“Think so.”

“I heard that.” She said loudly, letting them heard.

“Oh sorry, and I’ve been wondering about something, can I ask you something?”

“Yes.”

“How old are you?”

“Why?”

“Are you just a natural midget or did Ernestine pick up an eight year old.” Divya’s face became red, but not from embarrassment, but rather from anger. She looked to them and a purple light formed around them and started floating upwards in till they reached the top of the mile wall and fell down. They simply stood up without a scratch and started grinning again.

Yeesh, Kione chose the best guards for the gate and yet he made them, I need to know how strong Kione really is!

Then the guards instantly stood with attention, as if the king was approaching. Divya looked around and saw a tall black figure and a shorter one with a sinister smile. Divya smiled and took of her cape and they followed.

“It’s been a while Divya.”

“I thought you were dead.”

“Yeah I’m not, and I take it you know why because you can see through Ernestine.” She nodded.

“Of course.”

“Ok then, open the gates.”

“Yes master Kione.” The guards went to stand in front of the gate and held their hands open to the gate then all the chains fell off and opened. Divya, Kione and Ernestine went inside then when they entered the guards closed the gate again with all seals and bindings.

“I’ve never really been inside the Great Path.” Divya said smiling.

“It’s a terrible sight indeed…” In front of them were demons of all sights and sizes. Some could fly, some could run, some could do impossible things, but all demons are enemies and you can see that by the dead bodies of all the demons and the blood on the ground and on their bodies. “Come here Divya…” Divya walked over to Ernestine. He picked her up and placed her on his shoulders that she’s sitting around his neck. “Lead the way…” Kione nodded and started walking through the demons. They all stared at the strange two beings who is following their master, but because it’s their master they only backed away and didn’t do anything.

“You’re famous.” Divya said whispering that only Kione and Ernestine could hear them.

“Believe me Divya, that isn’t a good thing.”

“How long in till we reach Conda?”

“Five days and nights, so ten days if we sleep every night.”

“Will Maori and Artemis be ok?”

“Maori should be able to take down the demons but I’m unsure if the larger ones will be a problem for him or not but Artemis is there so Maori should be able to figure something out like he pins them down while Artemis feeds on it or something. I’m sure Artemis sees the entire Path as a great buffet.”

“She’s and un-vampire or something like that, right?”

“Yup, well she was, I don’t know what the Black Blood did to her now. That reminds me Ernestine, care to explain?”

“Well I did have an idea that the Black Blood would do something to her unique blood but I didn’t think this would happen. That reminds me, when we confront the Antonios we need to capture Ackerley alive that we can check if Artemis’s blood thirst is a family thing or just her.”

“I’ve been wondering about her, well not just her, all members. I know Ernestine’s secret-“

“Which I still want to know.” Kione interrupted. Ernestine and Divya smiled.

“Yes well anyway, Ernestine, I wonder about you Kione with all the demons and the even if I saw through Ernestine how you survived the lava I still don’t believe it is even possible, Maori with his abnormal strength that even if you’re a baby and start work out and never stop in till you live to be 100 you’ll still not be stronger than him, Marise is special because she can communicate with Cerberus which is impossible, Cerberus was just a myth, and then Donovan. Even if I and Kione were the ones who recruited him I still want to know his blood line, it all…fascinating to me.”

“Black Blood is the strongest the world has ever seen so don’t think we’re even close to human, you understand that Divya? You not being ever being a human and all…”

“Oh yes another thing I’m fascinated with is you Divya. We’ve been pared up on missions many times before but I still can’t figure you out. Might explain?”

“No, I don’t think so…not yet anyway…”
