Yuki’s POV

I lay on my bed with my arms under my head, thinking, what will happen? And how could we do this?

On the outside I was strong, confident, threatening. But the only thing I have is Sasuke, and skills in fighting.

I've been having doubt, why was I with Orochimaru, but why was I?

Anyone wanna tell me?

Nah, I'm okay.

Everyone look above you, or out of the window, or go outside and look up.

Look at the sky.

It seems so free, so beautiful, so calm.

I wish I could be like the sky, like water, going wherever the wind takes me.

Huh, I sound like a certain lazy ninja. Shikamaru wasn't it? I sound just like him.

Wonder what Sasuke would say...

And that’s where my thoughts always lead to, Sasuke, yeah I love him, everything about him captivates me, his hair, his looks, his personality, his mysterious aura, his smirk, his smile.

Wow, I’m such a love sick teenager; it makes me laugh, a lot.

“Yuki,” Someone knocked on my door. “Are you awake?”

I didn’t reply, I have to think.

“Yuki? Are you okay?” He asked again.

I shut my eyes, blocking him out.

“Yuki? Can I come in?” He asked.

I turned over away from the door as it opened. He came in, his eyes were worried.

“Yuki? You awake?”

I closed my eyes, pretending to be asleep.

“I know that you’re a bit tired, so I will let you sleep. I’ll be back soon Yuki. I love you.”

I tensed at his words; he couldn’t have to say that. Not at this moment. It fractured my situation. My thoughts.

Why Sasuke?

Why?

Why am I here with you?

Why should I agree with whatever you say?

The door closed.

I covered my face, making whimpering noises, shutting my eyes.

‘Yuki, child, are you okay?’

I froze, then relaxed. Listening to the familiar voice.

‘Ookami… I haven’t heard from you from a long time…’

‘Yuki, why? What’s with your decisions lately?’

I shook my head, ‘I don’t know… I’m just following my heart. And why are you thinking like this? Ookami?’

He mentally sighed, ‘I couldn’t say this there but… I liked what they were doing to you, changing you.’

I blinked, ‘You… You liked Konoha?’

He mentally nodded. ‘Uhh… Yeaaah… I guess so…’ I face palmed.

‘So… What should I do?’

‘Child, I cannot decide that. You need to decide.’

I sighed in aggravation, rolling my eyes.

‘But child, you know what? I sense the Konoha ninja. Go, under a henge (transformation jutsu) and… I don’t know, just go.’

I nodded, got up carefully trying not to make much noise.

I flashed to the outside of the hideout and thought of an appearance.

“Henge.” I said.

I was now a girl with long red hair and blue eyes. I opened my now dark eyes eyes and looked down on myself, I was wearing a dark blue kimono and sandals.

I walked quickly to the nearest village and waited at the ramen store.

“NARUTO! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!” I heard.

“But Sakura-chaaaan! I’m hungry! Let’s eat some ramen!”

Sakura sighed, “Fine fine, come on then.”

They sat down next to me and I looked down.

They looked happy, but determined, to find… Me and Sasuke. Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable.

“Excuse me.” I said quietly, they turned. There was Sakura, Naruto, Kakashi, and… was that Sai?

“Hi, what’s wrong?” Sakura asked.

I pretended to gulp, “You are Haruno Sakura, Uzumaki Naruto and Hatake Kakashi, is that correct?” I asked with a smile.

“Yes that’s right! How did you know?!” Naruto asked.

I shook my brain, “Oh, you’re amazing and an idol to me, I was going through Konoha once and saw you.” I smiled sheepishly.

Lies.

Think.

“Really?!” Naruto asked. I nodded, I looked at Kakashi and he tensed.

If he did, he would be able to see through the henge.

I smiled, “Yes.”

“Thank you.” Kakashi nodded, but I could see the doubt in his eyes.

I nodded, “Your welcome.”

I rubbed my eyes, damn, my kekkei genkei might come out.

I covered my eyes with my hands and tried to breathe evenly.

“Girl? Are you okay?” Sai asked, with a twinkling amusement in his eyes, I glared at him.

“Yes, thank you, I have to go now.” I uncovered my eyes and blinked a lot, Kakashi gasped.

I growled, I’m such an idiot.

I got up and looked back at them, “Thanks, Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi.” And I smiled. Their eyes widened, seeing my familiar red eyes.

“Y-Yuki-chan.”

I smiled slightly and gave a peace sign, “Ja ne Konoha shinobi.” And I flashed back to my room.

“Oh I love messing with people.” I sighed.

“With who?” I heard from behind me. I turned and saw Sasuke.

“Sasu-kun.” I greeted.

“Yuki-chan. So, what were you talking about?” Sasuke asked.

“Just the villagers, it’s okay.” He accepted my response and sat down on my bed, he pulled my hand and his lips were pressed on mine. I wrapped my hands around his neck and sat on his lap as I sighed and rested my head on his chest.

“What are you thinking?” He asked.

I thought of something to say, I couldn’t tell him that I was having doubts, “The future. What will happen when Orochimaru will be dead?”

He smiled, “We’ll figure it out soon. I have some ideas.”

I nodded. “Hn.” I closed my eyes.

‘Child, did you like the time with Konoha?’

Ookami’s voice rang through my head.

‘Ookami, this is not the time.’

‘Do you really want to be after revenge?’

I tensed in Sasuke’s arms, he looked at me with a questioning look.

‘Tell me Yuki, would you be here if it wasn’t with Sasuke?’

‘Ookami… Please not now…’

‘I think you would be happy in Konoha, maybe even get another love.’

‘Ookami-!’

I got up from Sasuke’s lap and pushed him out.

“Yuki-chan?! What’s wrong with-” I slammed the door in his face and collapsed on the bed.

‘Think child. What do you want from Sasuke? Love, power, strength, comfort?’

I covered my eyes and whimpered.

‘Please… Don’t…’

‘I think you just want someone to love, after the death of your clan. You want someone, don’t you?’

‘Ookami… No…’ Tears fell from my eyes.

‘You could get love from Konoha, from anyone there, you can fall in love again Yuki, it’s not only a once in a lifetime opportunity. Some may disagree, but you have the strength.’

‘Ookami, stop. Don’t talk.’

‘I will give you time. But think about it.’

“Okay…” I said out loud, “I’ll think about it.”
