Finally! I was procrastinating so much! Ugh! Sooo laaaazy! I just wanted to say that this will be updating slowly since it's so hard to write...

~Sometime at nighttime~

Uninvited footsteps echoed across the hallway of Palutena's temple in Skyworld; it was too dark to see anything but the walking figure's shadowy silhouette.
Nobody would be up at this time and that was what she was counting on.
The dark figure snuck into a room before coming out unnoticed. Then she quickly escaped from the temple and into the night.

~The next morning~

Monsters infested Skyworld like bees angrily swarming around their victim; on Pit's case that wasn't the problem, the real problem was waking up at 2 in the morning just to fight them off.
The centurions were trying their best but they seemed less then reliable.

"So sleepy! What happened to the barrier?!" Pit asked shooting at though the enemies and trying not to rub his eyes. "The barrier has been sabotaged! Pit! You must quickly kill the enemies before they reach the temple! I'm going to work on the barrier!"
Palutena told Pit through his laurel wreath "gotcha!" Pit said only to yawn after.
The monsters kept coming and they didn't seem to be planning on giving up; again that wasn't the problem.
"Pit! The power of flight is running out!"
Palutena said "I'll send in some help!"
Pit landed on one of the floating islands.
"Where are these monsters coming from?!"He asked.
"That's the problem Pit, I don't know. It's either the underworld army has gone wild without a leader to command them or someone has taken control of them" Palutena replied.
"Pit! I need you to get them out of the barrier range!" Palutena exclaimed "or they will continue to destroy everything and I can't put up the barrier!"
"Got it! But how? I can't fly!"
"I've got you covered!"
Now that voice was unknown. Pit didn't know who that person was but it sounded feminine.
Suddenly a gust of wind lifted Pit from the ground and before he knew it he was airborne. The gust of wind turned into an air current guiding him along the monsters enabling Pit to shoot them down. "Pit return!" Palutena shouted "I'm putting up the barrier in 3!...2!...1!"
Pit flew back and the gust of wind dissipated allowing him to land.
A green barrier rose over the whole Skyworld protecting it's home once more.

After that fiasco Pit returned to his room, exhausted.

All Pit wanted to do is collapse on the bed and sleep for all eternity but no, duty calls. Aka Palutena.

Pit manage to bring himself to go to the temple's main room (the room where you always start off in KIU) to see Palutena standing there with a girl beside here.
Either the girl was really short or Palutena was really tall, Pit went with the 2nd option.

"It's nice to know you got out of your bed willingly" Palutena said "I want you to meet someone" she gestured to the odd looking girl beside her "this is (y/n) she's an air spirit" Palutena explained.
Pit saw loads of air spirits in Skyworld. Most if them were never good for fighting and were like the citizens of Skyworld. If Pit was correct, they got hurt very easily and has really low durability.
"That's true" Palutena said. Pit froze "Air spirits lack durability but they make up for it with speed and swiftness. They barely get hit with attacks" Palutena explained "it is true that Air spirits aren't the best for battling but I figured that we would need one" she put her hand on (y/n)'a shoulder "that's where (y/n) comes in. The power of flight only lasts 5 minutes and once the power runs out you wouldn't be able to fly so I called (y/n) in for some help"
Pit recalled the time where an air current suddenly allowed him to he airborne.
"Oh wait, that was you right?" Pit asked "the gust of wind that helped me fly" (y/n) nodded.
Palutena continued her explanation "and how do you get to your destination so fast Pit? Surely you didn't think that it would take exactly 5 minutes to reach the underworld now do you?"
"If I recall properly, it takes at least 10 minutes" (y/n) cut in.

Her voice was really soft and silky, it reminded Pit of a gently breeze, it was the same voice he heard before.

"Yes that is correct but returning back to the original subject; (y/n) was the one who helped with the air currents, flying is actually really hard because of the wind patterns but you can throw all that out of the window thanks to (y/n), she made a tailwind for you so you could get to your destination faster"

Pit felt really dumb, only now was he meeting the person who helped him in his fight against the underworld forces.

"Uh, then how come we never met before?" Pit asked feeling really awkward.
"Simple, you were so busy with the war you never really had any time at all and even then (y/n) was still there. You just couldn't see her because she was invisible"
"Like air" (y/n) cut in once again "you can't see me but I'm actually there, you can feel me too but I mostly stayed out of your way" she said before silencing herself again for Palutena "yes, well and I decided to try out something new, instead of just making a tailwind  I was wondering if she could enable you to fly if even the power of flight ran out" Palutena allowed herself to continue "and this-"
"Very" Pit cut in tiredly.
"Early morning was the perfect time to test it out and it worked, you seemed comfortable with it" Palutena raised an eyebrow "you are, right?"
Pit nodded "it felt like I could really fly without any help at all"
"Good" Palutena replied "I need to do a few things right before the next attack so Pit, you can go back to sleep but I suggest you spend a little bit more time with (y/n)"
"The next attack?" Pit asked, there was more?! Pit resisted the urge to complain. It was his duty afterall.
Palutena nodded "with the forces of nature remember? Viridi isn't gonna let things cool down just yet"
All Pit could do was groan and slumped while (y/n) just giggled at his antics.
"Aw, c'mon Pit!" (Y/n) exclaimed much to Pit's surprise "adventure awaits!"

YAS! I'm done! With the first chapter...finally! I just wanted to say that this would take longer to update since this actually follows a story unlike those easy written one shots but I hope you'll show support for this book anyway!
