Sierrra Black didn't know what else to expect, but she knew she had to be ready to share her dolls and other toys with her new little sister.
At the age of 2, Sierra became an older sister to Regan Black. The two shared the dark black color hair and the light skin. Although Regan did not have her eyes open, Sierra hoped that she too would show off the grey eyes that she had inherited from her mother. The small girl continued to look at her baby sister and slowly made her way next to her mother who just smiled and encouraged Sierra to go over to her. Carefully and very slowly, she crawled through her mother's leg and onto her laps, where her mother received her with a kiss on her temple.
"She tiny.. can she play?" Sierra asked as she placed her small finger on the small palm, giggling as Regan closed her hand trapping her finger.
"Just a few months. Do you think you can wait?" Walburga asked, her hand going through her older daughter's hair.
"Yes!" Orion grinned and got Sierra from her torso, spun her around once before placing her on his hip. Sierra wrapped her arms around her father's neck, yet her eyesight not leaving the small child. Walburga looked at her oldest, smiling before giving her attention to the newborn in her arms.
"Now, I do want you to remember that you don't have to get jealous."
"Yes, daddy. Reggie grow fast?! " Orion laughed, placing a kiss on her cheek before nodding.
"In no time." He reassured and they looked at the sleeping baby. One wishing she wouldn't grow too fast and the other wishing she was born running and ready to play.

In what it seemed like she had died and come back to life, Sierra had helped Regan get in her feet to take her first step and later, her first run. The two girls were never separated after Regan was off the floor and running around the house. Orion and Walburga were both internally grateful that their daughters would not grow to hate each other and were as close as their nephews were and continued to wish they continued to get a long so well until they were old and dying. But both parents wished their daughters behaved differently. Although the girls were very young and they had the right to experience every moment a child their ages should, Walburga was determine for her daughters to act the way they were suppose too, proper. At the age of 6 and 4, Sierra and Regan learned how to cross their ankles and sit up straight when there was guest in their home but secretly threw their stuffed toys at the walls at night laughing at the thuds and pretend to be asleep when either parent would come to check on them. At the age 7 and 5, Sierra and Regan knew that running around with the other little kids although acceptable in some cases was strongly discouraged but played with them when their mother wasn't around and were under the care of their oldest cousin, Andrew. Sierra made friends with the kids in the block, Regan kept her distance and played with those who didn't need much activity. Sierra had always thought that her mother was treating her sister and herself harshly, but kept her mouth shut until she could take no more. So at the age of 9, Sierra spoke up. Regan was crying in the corner, as she held her ankles for not being crossed the day their cousin and his girlfriend had come to visit her parents. It was also the day the two girls had ran into the streets, dirtying their new shoes, shirt and white socks with mud. When Walburga raised her stick once again, Sierra stood in front of Regan, taking the blow of the object right on her hand, the slap echoing through the halls of the now very quiet house.
"Siri!" Regan cried, holding her sister by her arm.
"Sierra..."
"You're not going to hit, Reggie." Sierra mumbled, tears falling against her cheeks as her mother moved the wooden stick from her hand. "She can play."
"You two are suppose to be proper! Not being dirtier than the muggle begger from the street!"
"I don't want to be proper!" Walburga and Orion's eyes widen, their stare never leaving their eldest daughter. "I want to play with the kids of the block, not cross my ankles and wait to be a true lady!" It had hit Walburga hard as Sierra stared up at her, their grey eyes each expressing their own kind of frustration and anger.
"Regan wouldn't be the way she is if it weren't for you."
"Mum... it wasn't..."
"Regan, silence." Was all that Orion had to say for Regan to close her mouth and look down at her irritated hands. "Sierra..."
"No dad! I'm not going to be held back in making new friends and live the life as this person I don't want to be!"
"They aren't worth your time, Sierra!" Walburga exclaimed, her hand tightened around the handle, ready to strike or to throw. Sierra saw her mother's hand and although she acknowledged what was to come next, she stood up straight, looked her mother straight into her eyes.. just like a proper lady.
"What you teach me isn't worth my time."

That night, Sierra couldn't sleep. How could she? Her arms ached, her back pulsed and the chokes of her sobbing wasn't helping either. Regan had secretly moved her blanket and bear to her sister's room and made sure that their house elf, Kreacher, wouldn't tell on their mother. Kreacher, knowing it was wrong to hide such action, he was to stay true to his mistresses and listened.
"Siri?"
"Reggie, go to your room." Regan shook her head and dragged her blanket towards her sister's bed and placed her teddy next to her face.
"Mr. Diken says you can't be sad." Sierra grabbed her blanket and pulled it over head. "Siri?"
"What?" Regan tipped toed and gave her sister a kiss on her cheek.
"Thanks."
"Reggie?" Regan made her way up the bed and laid right next to Sierra, both of the girls now looking at each other.
"What?"
"I'm going to hex you." Regan covered her mouth to lessen the volume of her giggle.
"Not if I hex you first"
