=21.Unjust Treatment Of Villains=
In the Blooming Restaurant...
The five of them took a private booth for six and sat down around the table. Mu Chen ordered the food.
Not long before Feng Mian arrived there, seeing Xiao Bo now he remembered the first time he met the younger.
He felt some connection with him at that time too. He thought the little guy, his fox friend was after was so adorable.
Also when he saw Xiao Bo's smile he strangely recalled his Zumu's(grandmother) cute squirrel smile that he loved so much.
Now he understood why he was feeling that way cause the little squirrel and he was blood-related. He was his own younger brother whom they thought was born dead.
He was only a three-year-old so he still couldn't remember much but he had always seen his mother holding the first sonography picture of his younger brother and crying to sleep.
It has been almost seventeen years and his mother still felt guilty for insisting on traveling and putting the baby's life in danger and losing him.
His father couldn't lessen the grief of his mother after that and he knew how much his father suffered seeing his wife in such a state.
All that pain was caused by Song Yi Ming just for his petty revenge. Feng Mian couldn't wait to get his hands on him and torture him for everything.
Feng Mian pledged that he would return all the agony they went through a hundredfold to Song Yi Ming and his son who abused Xiao Bo all this time.
"Mian Gege, why are you here? What do you want to talk about with Xiao Xiao?" Xin Yi was the first to question.
Hearing that Xiao Bo glanced at Feng Mian and recollected the worried look Mu Chen gave him when he said that his friend had something to talk about with him.
Li Fan also got curious about what his elder cousin-brother had to say which made Mu Chen anxious. Shen Yu was also observing quietly beside him.
"Nothing, you need to worry about. It's good news and you will all know about it tomorrow anyway,"
Feng Mian answered as he knew his father would announce everything which would for sure make headlines for at least a month.
"Snowball, we have to fly to B city after the dinner." Mu Chen held the Younger's palm and squeezed it.
"Hm? B city?"
Xiao Bo was shocked to hear it. Also, he had no good memory of B city cause the last time he went there with his father he got almost molested by the mayor there if he didn't run away.
"I sent Le Yang to apply for leave for us both. We will be there for two to three days," Mu Chen half-lied cause it may take more than that depending on the situation.
Xiao Bo might even be transferred back to B city if the Li family decided to do so and he was ninety-nine percent sure of it cause who could stay far away from their child whom they thought was dead but returned to them after seventeen years?
No one.
If that happened he would also transfer back to B City without a second thought to accompany Xiao Bo.
Anyways, his gaming company that he just started with Feng Mian was in B city and it would be even easier for him to work without any restrictions there.
All his plans to go abroad next year had to be canceled though. Still, he didn't mind it was for the sake of Xiao Bo and how could he stay away from the younger now that his heart was developing feelings?
No way.
"Why?" Xiao Bo questioned with confusion evident all over his face.
"We will tell you on the way. You don't have to be scared, I will be with you and nothing you fear will happen. I promise," Mu Chen responded immediately seeing the uncertainty in Younger's eyes.
"But..." Xiao Bo didn't know what to say cause it was all too sudden and why would they need to go to B city?
"Mu Gege, why are you and Mian Ge being so mysterious? Why shall Xiao-Er go to B city? What's so important that he has to fly tonight?" Shen Yu bombarded them with questions.
"..." Mu Chen paused for a while, "No need to worry, if you want you can all come tomorrow to B city but tonight I will leave with Snowball," he declared.
>>>If his friends are with him, he will feel better, so it's good if they come too.
Xin Yi and Shen Yu looked at each other all perplexed.
"Okay then, Mian Gege, book tickets for the three of us for tomorrow's morning flight," Li Fan spoke.
"Why would you come too?" Shen Yu queried.
"It's my hometown, why should I not come? I will go see my parents and grandparents if nothing is serious," Li Fam replied.
Feng Mian sighed, "Alright, I will tell my secretary. Now, you all eat, the good is getting cold."
Everyone had many questions, especially Xiao Bo whose mind was in turmoil, he didn't pay attention to what he ate trying to remember if there was any main plot that happened in B city in the novel.
No matter how much he tried, his head only heated up but he couldn't recall any major event taking place in B city other than Mu Chen's and Feng Mian's WMC gaming company winning the grand prize for producing an amazing game.
>>>But that happens later in the story... now the game doesn't even exist, so what's happening?
After an hour, Feng Mian, Mu Chen, and Xiao Bo were in the airport checking out their luggage.
After the dinner, Li Fan took Xin Yi and Shen Yu back to the dorms though they insisted on following them to the airport, Mu Chen didn't agree to it and told them if they came to the airport then there was no need for them to come to B city the next day.
Sulking they went back bidding farewell to Xiao Bo and telling him they would arrive and stay with him before he knew it so he shouldn't be afraid of anything.
Xiao Bo felt warm and assured inside his heart and felt thankful for the third life he has been living, gaining such good friends.
They were at present sitting in the first class, Xiao Bo was a little amazed by the luxuries there. He did travel in business class once with his father but this was a whole different experience.
The seats could even turn into a bed or even a cabin similar to an own private apartment.
Xiao Bo mentioned once before getting onto the plane that he wanted to inform Wei Chen but Feng Mian declined it saying he could meet him in B city if he wanted to.
Mu Chen got a little grasp of what his friend was doing with Wei Chen and he also knew how much Xiao Bo loved his elder brother if the younger found out about it by any chance his friend would get into a big mess.
Sighing he thought he would tell Feng Mian after they arrived at B city to do more investigation before coming to a conclusion and doing anything to Wei Chen that he would get to regret later.
Also if something serious happened to Wei Chen the younger might get furious and the comfort level they got in their relationship would all go in vain if Xiao Bo knew that he didn't help his elder brother.
This was all for later but at the moment Mu Chen was a little apprehensive about how to break the news to him.
He was signing Feng Mian to tell but the other was also nervous and sweating.
Xiao Bo noticed the tense atmosphere, "Is... something wrong?" He was already frightened about going to B city that too with Mu Chen and Feng Mian.
It was his first time going somewhere without Wei Chen or his father. And the two of them giving each other strange stares didn't sit right with him so he asked.
Feng Mian took a long breath and in one go he he elucidated the story of his birth. Mu Chen was sitting beside Xiao Bo noticing all the changes in his expression and was very concerned.
"W-What... n-no... this can't be true," Xiao Bo was appalled when he heard the truth from Feng Mian who was kneeling in front of the younger holding his hands.
"It's true, Xiao Bo. I am your elder brother, you have a big sister too she is flying to B city as we speak so as to meet you. Our grandparents and parents are waiting for you at our home. We are your real family," Feng Mian then opened a small bag taking out the documents.
"Here, these are the DNA reports and the evidence of how you got switched when you were born. That Song Yi Ming played with everyone till now and abused you to take revenge on father."
Xiao Bo read through the documents and became stunned, "No... this..."
>>>I read nothing of this in the novel... Even in my past life, this didn't happen, so why now?
>>>If it's the truth then... is that why Father hated me so much? Because I am not his son?
Tears brimmed in Xiao Bo's eyes. He always wondered why Song Yi Ming despised him so much cause even a lion wouldn't harm its own cubs.
He understood now. Since they weren't related by blood still why should Song Yi Ming go to such an extent to take his revenge?
Though it might seem admissible for everyone that Song Yi Ming such a psycho would go to such lengths for Xiao Bo who lived with him... It was still strange.
He couldn't just understand just how much hatred for Li Zhao Yang made Song Yi Ming do such atrocities towards him.
He always earned to have a normal family like others and hoped that one day his father would get back to his senses and treat him and his elder brother better.
But to think he wasn't his father at all, to begin with... it was weird. His heart squeezed painfully making him tear up more that he couldn't even see in front of him.
Seeing the silent tears of Xiao Bo, Mu Chen side hugged him immediately and caressed his shoulder blade to give him some comfort.
Feng Mian was still kneeling in front of him clasping the Younger's palms feeling his eyes burn with tears seeing his younger brother in such a state.
>>>It is all because of those bastards... I won't leave them!
Xiao Bo didn't know how to react he just cried and cried feeling unfair about the treatment he and the original Xiao Bo got in their lives.
Just because they were villains they were separated from their family and had such a bad childhood, had to experience worse things growing up, and the worst of all was their gruesome ending.
Even if it was a novel world how could anyone be so cruel? Why villains must have such dreadful backgrounds to make them twisted and have cruel endings just to become a stepping stone for the main characters and their happy ending?
It was just outright injustice. All the villains are humans too they have feelings, they were also someone's family, someone's loved ones, and they also have the right to be happy and live a good life.
Though some villains might be pure psychopaths and evil from birth, they could have a character development later in the story, they could become friends with the main characters and lead a normal life.
Why must the authors be so brutal towards the villains of their stories? Weren't they, their creations too?
If the novel was a world then the author would be the creator, the god of that world. Could a god be unjust to their own children they created?
So many turbulent thoughts ran inside Xiao Bo's head he couldn't take it anymore and became unconscious in the arms of Mu Chen who became perturbed.
Feng Mian immediately asked the cabin crew if there was any medical practitioner who could check up on Xiao Bo.
Thankfully, one doctor was traveling in business class who came to check up on the younger and told them that Xiao Bo was overwhelmed with stress which was why he blocked out and that he would wake up soon.
Both Feng Mian and Mu Chen then took a breath of relief and let the younger sleep peacefully while they discussed what to do when Xiao Bo woke up to decrease his pressure.
