[Ms. Villainess: Hey, little Deathtraps! I am back with a short little story again. Hope you all will enjoy the story, happy reading(≧▽≦)🖤❤️✨]
***
Everything started with an unlucky boy who was a first-year graduate of Ravaryn University of Arts. He got into that prestigious university with so much hard work.
It was not like he was a genius, to tell you all the truth he doesn't even like studying much but he had to do it to get into the university.
In Ravaryn nation, there was an exam following the high school education which must be attended by every student to further pursue their studies in various fields.
It was a qualification exam for which students had to go through hell to reach heaven, that was what preparing for it felt like.
That boy went through it and barely managed to get the qualifying marks to enter the university.
Might we all be wondering if he didn't like to study much then why did he go through such a hellish process?
He could have simply chosen another route for his career path.
It was also not because his parents forced him cause for he, was an orphan from birth. He had no clue about his parents.
His guardian, the director of the orphanage picked the boy some random name while watching some demon series.
So, his name turned out to be Deimos Astaroth, both his first name and surname meant 'Devil'.
Not that the boy complained he was content that he got a cool name and even a surname that matched his name.
Deimos was always thankful to her. If not for her kindness maybe he wouldn't be alive right now.
The director of the orphanage saw him near a trash can in a carton box, crying louder getting scared of the heavy rain, lightenings, and thunder sounds at that time.
The little boy was like an abandoned puppy and thankfully she happened to be running the orphanage so she took him in.
Now, that arise a question... if he had been in the orphanage then why wasn't he adopted at some point?
Nice question, Deimos Astaroth did get adopted... honestly, so many times.
Not to over-exaggerate but Deimos looked so cute in his childhood with big round deer crystal clear eyes.
Every couple who came to adopt children was fascinated by his charms and adopted him but...
Then, there came the hardest part.
Deimos wasn't sure if it was his bad luck or something but whoever adopted him, in three months to a year they were blessed by their own child.
Which made his existence not needed in their homes so they would eventually return Deimos to the orphanage.
Due to it happening several times, there was a rumor that the couple who doesn't bear children should adopt Deimos and then they would be able to conceive their own child.
That was the start of the endless circles of his adoption. It continued until his heart shattered to little pieces and was left with no hope but believe that he would never have a family.
Seeing Deimos broken, the guardian was devasted and stopped him from getting adopted anymore and fought with people who tried to throw huge sums of money at the orphanage just to lend him for months.
Deimos still found it hilarious, why was his childhood such a tragic? Why on the earth would all those couples who adopted him be blessed with a child?
Did the God never wanted him to have a family?
He always wondered even if they were blessed with their own child why did they think of returning him?
He could be a good older brother to the baby and protect him/her, won't he?
But when he asked this question to the third couple who adopted Deimos and got the news that they were going to have a child and decided to return him as the first two couples did, their answer was...
"We don't want a child with unknown birth origins, who knows which whore threw you after giving birth? Your blood is filthy and you will grow up to be filthy too."
Wasn't it funny? Like seriously if they thought Deimos had the filthy blood of an whore then why did they even adopt him in the first place and gave him hope?
Hope that he could have a family too. Hope that his mother would hand-feed him, his father would tell him bedtime stories.
Hope that he would be given nice and clean clothes to wear and he too would get to go to the school like all other normal kids.
Deimos was seven when it happened and he didn't understand the reason why they called his blood, filthy.
Fuck that, he didn't even know the meaning of a whoreson... he tried to slit his wrist to draw the blood and see how his blood was filthy.
Thankfully, the guardian caught him in the act and stopped him from doing so.
He didn't understand why they were returning him to the orphanage after showering him with so much love, giving him nice food, bringing him expensive toys, celebrating his birthday on some random date, and then tossing him away like those toys they bought.
As if he had no feelings, as if he was just a doll for them to use for their entertainment, and when the purpose was over they would threw him away.
What was he?
Deimos started doubting his existence at that point. Every time he got adopted his eyes were full of hope and every time he was returned to the orphanage those hopes were broken.
Was it fun for them to break the hopes of a kid like that? Standing in the rain he cursed the God looking at the sky for writing him such a trashy fate.
Asked him if it was fun to watch his heart being broken.
But no matter how many times Deimos cursed or asked the god... there was no answer. In turn, it got worse every time he was adopted.
At least the first few couples showered him with love until they got the good news but as the time went on...
The couples who adopted just to get the good news of having their own child abused him as they got impatient for not getting the news sooner.
It got pretty abusive and violent that Deimos still bore the evidence of those times as scars on his body.
How did his tiny body had survived those at that time? Deimos still wondered about it... he thought maybe God wanted to see him suffer more so he didn't put an ending to his life.
Nevertheless, it was his childhood.
Deimos thought after the guardian stopped his adoptions and sent him to high school his life would get a little better.
But as soon as he got his hopes up they were shattered again. Bullying... was it a trend back then?
He became the victim of school bullying without his knowledge.
At first, they approached him nicely and he thought he would make friends this time cause the orphanage kids were no good.
They were violent if Deimos must had to confess truthfully which the guardian had no clue. He didn't tell her not to make her feel bad.
Anyway, he thought he had friends in the school but soon they turned him into their errand boy to get them snacks.
Deimos had no money. He used to do part-time jobs just to buy them food.
Sooner they turned violent too when he refused to buy them the food as he got to know they didn't see him as their friend but just a snack machine, an errand boy.
One time, they whipped Deimos with their belts, another time they would hit him with baseball bats until he bled and his face turned black and blue.
The other time, they beat the shit out of him with everything they had that Deimos had to stay in the hospital for a month.
To top it all, the school never disclosed or punished those students instead they threw him out of the school as Deimos was just an orphan while those students belonged to powerful families.
The guardian of the orphanage then tried her best and got him into a high school in Dozier.
Deimos thought he would start anew. However, It didn't change much, he was still bullied and he was still an errand boy but he could endure everything cause he found his happiness.
How? He saw an angel. Who? Evren Osian, was his name.
He was two years older than Deimos and when he saw students hitting him, he was the first one to step up and stop them.
It was like a movie when Deimos first saw him, all the slow motion in the background and the way he yeeted out the students and beat the shit outta them with his slender body.
He didn't understand how Evren had so much strength to fight ten students head-on but later he got to know that the other was a national-level boxing champion.
No wonder his kicks and punches put the students in the hospital for months. Deimos still remembered the first time he spoke with him.
"Are you okay?"
Evren extended his hand and helped him get up, piggybacked him to the infirmary, and even cleaned his wounds, and wrapped bandages on them.
He was in a trance all that time. Evren's every concerned word that came out of his mouth sounded angelic to him.
Deimos teared up for the first time that day in front of him telling Evren his continuous thanks.
Evren was flustered by his sudden outbreak but still hugged Deimos and consoled him. His hug felt like the safest place in this universe for him.
His warmth made Deimos's heart flutter and made him realize that he fell for his kindness and that he loved him.
After that, there was no bullying in the high school as Evren was the school council president no one dared to bully other students.
Because of him, Deimos's days went by peacefully at school.
To Deimos Evren was his savior, his hero, and his love, and eventually, he became his only reason to live.
Not only Evren was an angel he was highly intelligent too, his grades were top of the high school and that was the reason why Deimos had to work his butt off to get into the same university as his.
Deimos's hard work paid off. He got enough marks to get into the university.
He had to say goodbyes to the guardian and come to Belrynna, the capital city of Ravaryn.
Where he knew no one but he still dared cause he wanted to see Evren. Then Deimos saw Evren for the first time in two years.
His heartbeat raised to the point that he thought it would pop out of his chest when he saw the other in his white clothes dancing on the stage like an elegant swan.
Evren was popular in university too just like back in high school. There were so many admirers no matter the gender everyone fell for him hard and Deimos was one of them.
Deimos rescheduled all his classes to match Evren's and followed him everywhere.
He was in his study sessions, his assignment groups, and his boxing club though as a cleaner.
Deimos followed him everywhere, every day waiting for Evren to notice him and smile at him for once.
His love for Evren increased day by day and the day when the other had to leave the university came.
Evren was now in his final year and would leave the university in a month after the exams.
Deimos couldn't keep his feelings to himself anymore, even though he knew he had no chance but still he dared to confess to Evren so that he would not have any more regrets in his life.
So, the night before Deimos decided to confess his feelings for Evren, he baked cookies in cute shapes and wrapped them in pretty covers, placed them in a heart-shaped box, and decorated the box with a cute azure ribbon on top.
Deimos wanted to give that box to Evren while he confessed his feelings. He was so nervous that he barely slept.
In the morning, he hurried to the university before it even opened the gates and started waiting for him.
He paced left and right anxiously as the clock ticked.
His hands were getting sweaty and his heart was beating fast as the time went by.
Many students gave Deimos weird stares as they passed by him. But he didn't care, he was waiting for him...
He absolutely mustn't lose the chance cause that day was the last working day of the university and they would have summer vacation from the next day.
After that Evren would get busy preparing for his exams and Deimos would have no chance to see him again so this day was so crucial for him.
Just when Deimos was about to sit cause his legs started hurting from standing for straight five hours, well he did come to the college at five in the morning...
It was ten and he saw Evren wearing a loose black shirt with sleeves rolled up and tucked neatly into the light blue jeans, a Rolex watch on his wrist, hanging his red backpack on his right shoulder.
Deimos could never forget the way Evren was walking towards him... ahem! towards the gate to get inside the university.
He was about to walk past Deimos when he stepped in front of Evren stopping him.
Evren looked up from his mobile and glanced at him with a confused expression on his face.
"Hello, E-Evren. I am your junior from your department and I am also in your study groups and clubs."
Deimos nervously introduced himself to him for the first time.
"Hm, so?"
Evren asked him with his left eyebrow raised.
"S-So...I...I-I..."
Deimos's hands started trembling, he was having cold sweats all over.
"If it's nothing important, talk to you later."
Evren was about to leave after giving him a pat on the shoulder.
Deimos grabbed his hand immediately and put the box in his hands, closed his eyes tightly.
"I love you Evren, so much. From the day you saved me in high school I am loving you with all my heart. I know I am not worthy to even look at you but still, I wanted to confess my feelings for you, will... will y-you go out with me?"
He finally asked out Evren and slightly opened his eyes but the other wasn't looking at him.
He was looking at someone with a frown on his face, Deimos followed his gaze and saw the senior of his department...
Farris Chrysander, the most handsome one in the whole university, who was friends with Evren Osian so he knew him.
Evren then shoved the box back to Deimos.
"Sorry, but I have feelings for someone else."
The smile on Deimos face was wiped off at his words, his heart thundered as Evren pushed him away and chased after Farris Chrysander shouting,
"It's not like what you're thinking Farris, stop, listen to me!"
Deimos fell on his butt and the cookies in the box were all over the ground. He sat like that as the students passed by with tears flowing down his cheeks.
Evren didn't even spare a glance at him... it was not like he had any hope from the start but he just hoped the other would talk with him for some time.
Then maybe he would have asked Deimos to be his friend at least and then he could have been by his side as his loyal friend for the rest of his life.
Deimos would have been satisfied with just being by his side.
But...
He put all the cookies in the box and walked out of the university gate. To him, the air felt so heavy, it was suffocating.
It did hurt... it did hurt him the most...
Deimos thought he could handle Evren' rejection. He thought it wouldn't hurt this much... but it was hurting...
And before he knew it he was in front of a truck that ran over him. The next second his head hit the road and splattered blood Deimos remembered a scene...
It was him reading a book in a comic store. But Deimos never went to a comic store up till now, he had no time for those things.
All his life he had to work hard to make ends meet and study hard till his nose bled to get into the Ravaryn university Evren Osian was in.
He had no time to spare for such things as reading comics or watching something on social media as others of his age did.
But it was a place Deimos had never seen... it was like another world and he remembered the novel named "Soulmates" and strangely the main leads in the novel had similar names Evren Osian and Farris Chrysander.
Deimos remembered this scene when an extra proposed to Evren Osian, Farris Chrysander saw it and got jealous.
Then they both fought with each other and accidentally confessed their love to each other...
Wasn't that him just now?...
Deimos smiled and then started laughing bitterly...
"So, I am just an extra whose only purpose was to make the main leads of the novel confess their feelings to each other."
And now that his role was finished... Deimos was no longer needed in this world so he had to leave... he didn't even have a name in that novel and nobody knew about his existence.
As more blood drained from his head, he started losing consciousness. Deimos could feel his body becoming numb, he felt helpless as his life was being sucked out of his body.
He closed his eyes with a smile...
"At least, I confessed my feelings... and I fulfilled my role as an extra... this was my story, I, Deimos Astaroth am just an extra in a popular BL novel without any name whose only purpose was to help the main leads know their feelings for each other."
To the readers, he was just a nameless existence, a stepping stone that had to help the male leads realize their feelings...
To Evren, Deimos was just like the passing wind, he doesn't know his name neither his existence nor his love for him...
Now Deimos wondered if his love for Evren Osian all this time was real or not or if it was just because the author wrote about it.
"Were my feelings fake?... I don't know anymore... I just want to rest... I am tired of all these things..."
