"So what have you decided to do?" Tink asked as she scrunched her face watching Lyric dip her french fries in a mixture of steak sauce and ranch dressing.
"Honestly Lyric that is disgusting."
"Mm baby killian number 2 disagrees." Lyric smiled. "And.. I'm going to tell him. Tonight. He's coming over to see Sym again." Lyric smiled again.
"What has got you so smiley? He's engaged Lyric."
"He doesn't even love her Tink." Lyric sighed. "And who would, she's such a bitch."
"Wow..those mean hormones are hitting you early." Tink sighed.
"If you met her, you'd agree with me. She's evil."
"Okay, but this.. What you are thinking about..its dangerous. People are going to get hurt."
"Who said I'm thinking about anything. Jeeze I'm just telling him about his kid so we can avoid the same mess with had with Sym."
"Mmmhmm." Tink said skeptically folding her arms. Lyric rolled her eyes.
"Think what you want to think." She mumbled and finished her french fries. "I have to go."
"Alright. Just.. call me later with details yea?" Tink asked.
"Of course." Lyric smiled.

"Mommy?" Sym asked as they were sitting on the couch waiting for Killian to arrive.
"Yea?" Lyric asked.
"Can Killian come over and play every day?"
"Well, I don't know honey hes kind of busy. Did you have fun last time?" Lyric asked.
"Yeah! He was nice. And he played twinkle with me." Symphony smiled.
"Yeah he did. So.. you really like him then?" Lyric asked with a smile.
"Mmhm. Don't you?" Sym asked.
That is incredibly complicated kid.. Lyric thought. The doorbell rang.
Saved by the bell.
"Can I get it?" Sym asked excitedly.
"Yeah." Lyric smiled and stood as Sym ran to the door turning the knob and opening it.
"Hi!" She squealed and hugged Killians leg.
"Hey there." Killian smiled and bent down and lifted her with one arm holding her on his hip. Lyric just wanted to scream it was so cute.
"Mommy and I made cookies for you." Symphony said as Killian walked inside with her.
"Oh yea?" Killian asked and smiled at Lyric. "Hey.." He said.
"Hey." Lyric said and adjusted her glasses nervously and walked into the kitchen to retrieve the platter of cookies. Symphony picked a very oddly shaped one up and handed it to him.
"I made this one." She giggled.
Killian took a bite.
"Mmm Its good." He grinned.

Lyric watched Symphony play with Killian until she crashed on him. He carried her over to the kitchen table where Lyric was
"What do I do with this?" He asked with a smirk.
"Oh.. Dang it I thought she took a long enough nap today." Lyric frowned. "I'm sorry. She was looking forward to playing with you too." Lyric sighed and stood up and led Killian down the hall to Symphony and Quins room.
"I'm assuming the pink princess bed is hers." Killian chuckled and laid her down on the bed and kissed her on the top of the head. Lyric smiled.
"She asked if you could come play every day.. But I told her you were kind of busy."
"No.. No I can come every day if she wants." Killian smiled as he pulled the blanket up over her.
"You don't have to, she would understand."
"I'll make arrangements." Killian offered as they walked out of the room back to the living room.
"So.. I should probably go." Killian said and scratched behind his ear.
"No. wait. I..actually had something I needed to talk to you about." Lyric said and pulled out a chair for him. "You.. may want that." She sighed. Killian sat down. Lyric adjusted her glasses again and paced.
"Okay." She breathed.
"Lyric what is it?" Killian asked.
"Well. I really.. I don't know how to say it." She said. "And I don't know how you are going to take it, and its just really going to mess things up with you and Anna.. but here goes.' She sighed.
"I'm Preg-"
"I love you too." Killian cut her off and then shook his head. "Wait.. what?"
"I'm.. pregnant... again. Wait.. you.."
"No. Nevermind. What?" Killian asked and stood up.
"I'm pregnant.. Its yours." Lyric said again. Lyric thought he was going to be mad. She expected him to scream and yell. But he grinned ear to ear.
"You..are happy about this?" She asked.
"Well yeah! Aren't you?" He asked.
"Well, kind of." Lyric shrugged. "I love Symphony and I'll love this baby too but I didn't tell you so you would feel obligated. I just.. Felt it was right you know this time. From the start."
"Obligated? Are you kidding me? Lyric I want to be there for everything I missed with Sym!" Killian smiled and hugged her. Lyric smiled and took in his scent. She wasn't sure if it was the hormones making her crazy or what. But.. God.. she missed him. She missed everything about him.
"I..have an appointment in a few weeks to check and make sure everything is okay. Maybe even hear the heartbeat..do you want to come?" She asked.
"Yes! Of course." Killian grinned.
"Great!" Lyric beamed.
Anna who? This is it Lyric. He's yours again.
Killian looked at his phone.
"I have to go, Liam needs me at the bar Oh! When can he meet Sym? He's dying to meet her."
"He knows about Sym?" Lyric asked.
"Of course he does. He's my brother. Don't worry he won't say anything about me being her dad."
"Umm. Well, I can bring her by the bar before it opens sometime next week?" Lyric asked.
"Sure. I'll ask him what time and day works for him and get back with you." Killian smiled. "See you tomorrow?" He asked.
"Yeah. Tomorrow." Lyric said and walked him to the door and opened it.
"Bye." He said
"Bye." She smiled and wiggled her fingers at him as he walked to his car. She closed the door and leaned against it.

Killian met Lyric at the doctor's office the day of the appointment. He had a shopping bag with him.
"What.. is that?" Lyric asked.
"I know its early.. But.." Killian grinned and pulled out a little blue onesie that said.
"Daddy's little rockstar" On it. Lyric smirked.
"That's lovely Killian but we don't know if its a boy or a girl, and we wont know for another few months."
"See, I thought you may say that." He said and reached into the bag and pulled the exact same onesie but in pink. He raised his eyebrows and Lyric giggled. She loved how excited he was, she was thrilled not to have to go through this alone this time.
"I'm glad you..are here." She smiled.
"Me too. Thanks for letting me be here." Killian said.
"Does.. Anna know?" Lyric asked.
Killian scratched behind his ear. "I..don't know what to tell her. I mean... this is huge and she is going to be pissed." Killian sighed.
Let her be pissed. Let her leave! Lyric screamed mentally but instead said:
"Its okay, we'll figure out what to tell her together." She said and put her hand over Killians.
"Lyric Mckenna." The nurse called.
"You ready?" Lyric asked. Killian nodded.
"Yeah." He smiled and followed Lyric into the dark ultrasound room.
Lyric got up on the table and sighed nervously.
"You okay?" Killian asked.
"Yeah. Its just early in the pregnancy with Sym I had some trouble, they thought I might lose her. I..just don't want that for this baby."
Killian looked worried now.
"They..will tell us right?" He asked. "If something is wrong?"
"Yes, Killian they will. Right now it might just be too early to detect if there is or not. I don't think I'm very far along." She smiled trying to reassure him.
The ultrasound tech walked into the room and smiled at both of them.
"We're looking a little nervous." She observed.
"We just want to know everything's okay." Killian said.
"Of course. Lets get started then" The woman smiled. Lyric unbuttoned her pants and pushed them down a bit and lifted her shirt so the tech could put on the ultrasound gel with the transducer. Killian watched the screen.
"Oh. There we are." The tech smiled.
"What.. am I looking at?" Killian asked.
The woman smirked at Killian and pointed to a spot on the screen.
"It doesn't look much like anything but a blob but Its the baby I promise." The tech laughed.
"I can't hear anything." Killian said
"Well, based on what I can see here, its looking too early for a heart beat. So I'm going to schedule you to come back in a couple of weeks and then you should be able to hear it.." She said trying to reassure Killian who was obviously starting to panic.
"Oh. Great!" Killian smiled and put his hand over Lyrics as they watched the screen. He didn't know he could be so in love with a tiny blob on a computer screen but..he was.

Killian followed Lyric back to her place and got out of the car with a gift bag.
"What is that?" Lyric asked.
"Oh. I..picked something up for Sym. I hope you don't mind."
"You didn't have to." Lyric said. "If Quin sees it he might be jealous." She smirked.
"You see. I thought you might say that.." Killian said and pulled another gift bag out from behind the other one.
"Jesus are you just prepared for everything today Jones?" Lyric laughed.
Killian just grinned and followed Lyric inside.
"Killian's back!" Sym squealed running at him.
"Yay.. Killian." Darren said sarcastically glaring at Killian skeptically.
"Dad.. be nice." Lyric sighed.
"Fine." Darren said. "Killian why don't you stay for dinner?"
"Oh.. I really shouldn't Anna would be up-"
"Please??" Symphony begged. "Grampa is making pizza!"
"Ooo!" Lyric grinned.
"Well how can I say no to pizza?" Killian asked smiling down at Symphony.
"Yay!" Symphony smiled and hugged him. Killian knelt down and handed her the gift bag.
"I got this for you." He said.
"Mommy can I open it?" Sym asked.
"Yeah go for it." Lyric smiled. Killian handed the other gift bag to Quin.
"Smart man. Keeping the peace." Darren smirked.
Killian chuckled and watched Symphony tear into the bag.
"WHOA" She yelled and pulled out a small purple guitar. "Look mommy!"
"Wow, Look at that." Lyric smiled. "What do you say?"
"Thank you!" Symphony smiled and hugged Killian again.
"You are welcome." Killian smiled. "After dinner we can play yea?" Killian asked.
"Yeah!"
"I got one too!" Quin shouted and held up the little green guitar.
"You bought them both guitars? Do you hate my parents?" Lyric asked.
Killian grinned. "Everyone needs a guitar." He said.

After Dinner, Quin and Symphony sat down with their guitars. Lyric walked into the living room with hers and handed to to Killian. It was the one he had bought her for her birthday all those years ago.
"You still have it." Killian said.
"Yeah well. It has my name on it." Lyric smiled.
She sat back watching Killian strum on the guitar, and she watched the kids, mindlessly strumming on theirs. It was noisy as hell but Lyric was just happy they were happy.

"Alright bedtime." Lyric said after a couple of hours.
"Awww No!" Symphony and Quin whined.
"Come on you." Sarah said and picked up Quin.
"What about her?" Killian asked.
"We let Quin go to sleep first because if we put them in there together, they keep each other awake. And Sym takes after her mother and puts up one hell of a fight at bed time. So. Good luck with that." Darren grinned and followed his wife down the hall. Lyric picked up Symphony and put her on the couch. She instantly started whining.
"Come on now, Sym We do this every night." Lyric sighed and then she got an idea.
"What if.. Killian sings your song? Will you try to lay down then?" She asked. Symphony smiled at Killian and nodded.
"Whats her song?" Killian asked.
"Little bitty pretty one. Usually two or three repeats of that and shes out. I'm going to go get her bed ready." Lyric said Killian sat down on the couch and Symphony crawled in his lap. Lyric walked down the hall.
"Can you stay here?" Symphony asked him.
"What do you mean?" Killian asked.
"Mommy smiles more when you are here." Sym said and snuggled into his chest. "And its my birthday soon and I only asked mommy for one thing."
"Oh? And what was that?" Killian asked
"A daddy.." Symphony yawned. Killian felt his heart drop into his stomach.
Don't cry. Don't cry.. Don't let the kid see you cry.. He thought to himself. He cleared his throat.
"So.. how about that song?" He asked rocking her in his arms slowly.
"Yeah." She smiled.
Killian began humming and singing softly trying to lull the child to sleep.

Once she was asleep He carried her down to the bedroom.
"Where's your parents?" He asked.
"They went to bed. Mom has an early shift, so Dad will have to be up for Quin." Lyric explained as Killian laid Symphony down on her bed and pulled the blanket up over her running his hand through her dark hair.
"She.. uh.. She asked me to be her daddy." Killian said. "And it was so hard for me not to tell her that I am.. I don't know how much longer I can do this." Killian sighed.
"Hey.. its okay. We will tell her soon I promise." Lyric said. "I just don't want to overwhelm her...come on let's talk in the living room. Lyric said and pulled him to the living room with her. She sat down on the couch and he sat next to her.
"Have you thought more about what you are going to tell Anna?" Lyric asked. Killian looked like he was thinking for a moment before he leaned in and kissed Lyric.
Lyric went to pull away but found herself caught in a magnetic pull right back to his lips.
To hell with Anna.. Lyric thought and moved herself over to his lap
"I need you." She mumbled in between breathless and needy kisses. Killian reached up beside them and flipped the switch on the lamp in the living room leaving them in the dark
"As you wish." He whispered to her.
