Chapter 6 So Much For My Happy Ending

A/N: So.. do you guys hate Anna yet? If Not.. Just wait lol.

Lyric paced in the kitchen pinching the bridge of her nose.
"This can't be happening. Not again. I swear to God I am going to sue whoever makes my birth control." She said.
"Mommy." Sym said tugging at her pant leg.
"Lyric its going to be okay, We figured it out with Symphony and we will figure it out with this one. Last time you stressed yourself so badly you almost lost Sym. You need to calm down." Sarah said.
"Calm down? Mom! I can't calm down, How could I let this happen again? After everything he put me through? He is literally satan!" Lyric groaned.
Sym tugged at her pants again and whined. "Mommy!"
"What??" Lyric asked losing her temper with the child who blinked at her and then sat down on the floor sniffling with tears in her eyes.
"No.. No no no I'm sorry!" Lyric winced before Symphony exploded into tears. Lyric sat down on the floor with Symphony holding her.
"I'm sorry baby.. I didn't mean to yell at you." She said rocking her daughter in her arms.
"I'm a terrible mother." She sighed looking at her mother for help.
"You aren't a terrible mother Lyric, you are just stressed."
"What am I supposed to do? Killian hasn't even told his fiance that he cheated on her and she already thinks I'm the antichrist."
Sarah knelt down and put her hands over Symphony's ears.
"Who cares what that bitch thinks? Killian needs to take responsibility for this. He needs to tell her the truth."
"I don't know. I'm still hesitant about letting him into her life, and now there is a new one on the way.."
"Are you honestly thinking about not telling him again Lyric?" Sarah sighed.
"I don't know.." Lyric shrugged.
"I think that is a horrible idea. But you know your dad and I will support you no matter what. Think on it. When is he coming over?"
Lyric looked at her watch. "About 2 hours." She sighed.
"Just see how he does with Sym and then think about it okay?" Sarah asked.
"Okay." Lyric nodded.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lyric hurried around the living room adjusting things. Sarah stood in the entrance watching her and shaking her head.
"How long has she been at it?" Darren asked.
"About 30 minutes now." Sarah smirked. "As if Killian has never been to our house before."
"She's just a little high strung is all." Darren smiled. "Reminds me of her mother."
"I am not like this at all." Sarah said narrowing her eyes.
Lyric went to move the couch.
"Lyric Mckenna don't you dare lift that couch!" Sarah snapped and hurried over.
"Nope. Not at all." Darren chuckled. The doorbell rang and Lyric nearly lept over the coffee table to get to the door before Darren.
"I got it Dad. Go wake up Sym from her nap?"
"Sure." Darren said giving her a look before walking down the hallway.
Lyric opened the door and instantly wanted to scream. As if it wasn't bad enough Killian was here, Anna was too. Killian looked at her with an annoyed and apologetic look. Lyric just glared at him and stepped away from the door to let them in.
"Look, mom.. Killian is here. And he brought Anna. Isn't that wonderful?" She said barely able to contain the sarcasm.
"Oh. Lovely. I'll make some coffee." Sarah said and walked towards the Kitchen.
"Play nice." She said to her daughter before turning into the kitchen.
"I will if she does." Lyric muttered.
"My Dad is getting Sym up from her nap. Killian. Can I speak with you?"
"Yeah. Sure." Killian said and turned to Anna. "Just sit down..or something." He said. Anna glared at him and sat down on the couch with a disgruntled sigh. Killian followed Lyric into the kitchen.
"I told you I didn't want her here!" Lyric hissed. "This is supposed to be about YOU getting to know Symphony. Not her."
"I know! I'm sorry! She wouldn't leave it be until I agreed she could come with me. She didn't understand why you didn't want her here."
"Oh. Maybe because she hates me and I don't want her around my daughter!"
"Well.. shes kind of my fiance. So she would be around her eventually..." Killian sighed.
"You..don't plan on telling her what happened in New York do you?" Lyric asked. That shouldn't have upset her as much as it did.
"Look, what am I supposed to say?"
"How about for once in your life telling the truth!" Lyric snapped. "Maybe this wasn't a good idea.."
"No, please Lyric, she already told me she wouldn't say anything to Symphony she just wanted to be here."
"Look whos up!" Darren said as Symphony ran ahead of him up the hallway.
"Mommy!" She squealed.
"Hey!" Lyric smiled and scooped her up. "You remember Killian from the store right?" She asked.
Symphony nodded.
"Killian came to play with you today. Why don't you say Hi?"
"Hi." Symphony said to Killian waving her hand cutely.
Killian smiled ear to ear.
"Hey." He said.
"You play blocks?" Symphony asked.
"I will play whatever you want to play sweetheart." Killian said. Lyric put Sym down.
"Why don't you go get your blocks?" Lyric said.
"Okay." Sym smiled and hurried off.
Killian and Lyric walked back into the living room.
"Anna, why don't you sit with me and my parents in the kitchen." Lyric said.
"No. I'm good here." Anna smiled. It was the kind of Fake smile that Lyric really wanted to slap off of her face.
"Actually, I really wanted to see how Killian and Symphony get along alone, you know.. Since she's his daughter. Not yours." Lyric said.
"And.. if they don't get along? You just try again in another four years?" Anna asked.
"Anna!" Killian sighed.
"What? It was wrong of her to keep your kid from you." Anna said defensively.
"Anna, why don't you just go home? I'm sure someone can give me a ride home when I am done here."
"Oh. I will." Lyric smiled looking directly at Anna.
"If I go, you come with me." Anna glared standing up.
"I am not going, until I spend time with Symphony. We will talk about this later." Killian said, the annoyance in his tone was loud and clear.
"Yes. We will." Anna hissed at him and looked at Lyric.
"I know its hard for you to see that he is happy with someone else. So I guess I will leave. Just try to keep your hands off of my fiance." She sneered and at that point Darren had to hold both his wife and his daughter back while Anna walked out of the house.
"Honestly?" Lyric scoffed looking at Killian.
"I'm..sorry about her. I really am." Killian sighed and then smiled as Symphony came back up the Hallway tugging a big bag of blocks behind her with Quin in tow.
"Can Quin play blocks too?" Symphony asked.
"Of course he can. The more the merrier." Killian smiled and sat down on the floor and looked back at Darren.
"The little lad has gotten so big." He said.
"Oh Yeah. Hes got my height thats for sure." Darren said sitting down on the couch watching the kids play.
"How.. does one play blocks?" Killian asked. Symphony looked at him like he was an absolute idiot and Lyric nearly spit her coffee everywhere trying to hold in a laugh.
"Well, aren't you your mother's child." Killian smirked.
"Like this." Quin said and stacked the wooden blocks.
Symphony pushed a pile of blocks to Killian. Killian stacked the blocks. He seemed kind of clueless as to what else he should be doing.
"Just talk with her." Lyric said.
"What do I say?" Killian asked.
"She likes Music, talk to her about that." Lyric said and sat down next to her dad watching.
Killian grinned. Of course she liked music, how could she not.
"So, Sym you like music?" Killian asked.
Symphony smiled really big and nodded.
"Yes!" She said.
"Thats wonderful, I like music too. I play music." Killian said.
"Like my mommy?" She asked.
"Yeah. Like your mummy." Killian smiled.
"Mommy is teaching me Piano." Symphony said proudly.
"Is she?" Killian asked and looked at Lyric and smiled.
"Yeah! Wanna see?"
"I'd love to see." Killian said. Symphony stood up and grabbed Killians hand. Killian held the childs small hand in his trying to keep his emotions in check. This little girl was beautiful, and brilliant, and she was his. He stood up as she pulled him along to a room in the house Killian hadn't seen before. It was a small recording studio set up.
"What is this?" Killian asked. Lyric had followed them.
"Its my Dads, A couple of years ago he got back into the music business. Producing." Lyric said.
"Oh yeah? Thats awesome!" Killian said and watched as Symphony struggled to climb on the piano bench. He walked over and sat down on the bench and lifted her onto it. Symphony climbed into his lap and Killian looked back at Lyric to make sure it was okay. She gave him a nod.
Symphony started playing row row row your boat. Well the first little bit of it anyways.
"Great job." Killian smiled.
"You play!" Symphony said.
"What do you want me to play?" Killian asked.
"Can you play Twinkle Twinkle?" Symphony asked.
"I'm sure I can." Killian chuckled and started to play Twinkle Twinkle little star and then smiled down at her as her cute little voice started singing along with the melody. Killian sang softly along with her.
Lyric smiled watching them play together. This was how it should have been all along. She felt a tear slip out of her eye and roll down her cheek.
But it didn't matter anymore with Anna in the picture, She'd never have this, and she cursed him mentally for making her fall in love with him all over again.
