The second you entered the door, you ran to Thor's side yelling.

"Thor! Loki! Amazing news!" Both of the gods turned their attention to you with a curious look.

"What's up Lady (Y/N)?" Thor asks, smiling as he sees the smile on your face.

"Fury said that Loki can join the team if he wants to! He said that, with my approval, Loki would stay in my spare room in my apartment with me and he wouldn't have to stay in this cell!" You report energetically while jumping up and down, waving your wings a bit and creating a small breeze.

"That's amazing!" Thor exclaimed almost deafeningly loud. He quickly stood to capture you in a bone-breaking hug which you happily returned.

"So Loki, how about it? Wanna be an Avenger?" You ask once Thor put you down.

Loki was staring at nothing in particular, consumed by thought. He wanted so badly to be out of the cell, but he was almost afraid of how his joining the team would be taken. He was honestly shocked that they even considered having him as a part of the team. After all he had done, had you actually convinced them to let him out?

He made up his mind quicker than he thought he would, reminding himself to thank you profusely.

"Yes. I would like to join the team." Loki said stronger than the thought he would. He guessed he wanted to be out of that cell more than he thought.

"Yes!" You exclaim happily, jumping up and down, suspended temporarily by the flapping of your huge wings.

"This is wonderful brother!" Thor exclaims with a huge smile on his face.

"That's great Loki!" Steve congratulated as he approached the cell.

"Ah. The captain has come to visit. Have you brought anyone else?" Loki said greeting Steve, and turning towards you.

"The only others here are Natasha and Clint. They were curious about your answer." You state calmly and simply.

The two aforementioned Avengers waved from the back of the room. Nat's was kind and Clint's was probably forced.

Loki only nodded in their direction, unsure of what to say to them. Then he turned to you.

"Do you know when I will be moved from here?" Loki asked.

"I'm not sure on the specifics, but it won't be more than a few days if not today. Probably tomorrow afternoon at the latest actually." You say, "I can ask Fury about it when I give him your answer." 

"Alright then. I assume you're going to give him my answer today?"

"Actually, if Thor doesn't mind watching you for a couple more minutes, I was going to go tell him now."

"I do not mind Lady (Y/N)." Thor said as he hugged you once again out of pure happiness.

"Thanks Thor! You're a life saver!" You yell back as you reach the door.

"It's what I do Lady (Y/N)!" Thor calls back. You laugh to yourself as Steve, Clint and Nat follow you out.

"That was nice." Nat stated as she walked with you and the others.

"Yeah. It was." Steve chimed in.

"I know there's not much to do about it now, so ill try to learn to live with him." Clint said with a sigh.

"That's better than nothing Clint. Thanks." You say, giving him a pat on the shoulder.

"Yeah yeah. Good Samaritan, blah blah." Clint said sarcastically.

"Alrighty then. I'll see you three later today if Loki isn't being moved." You said amiably. 

"See ya (Y/N)!" Steve responds.

You happily turn from the group to make your way to Fury's office. Softly, you knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

"Come on in (Y/L/N)." You heard the much more inviting tone in Fury's voice. You weren't even going to question how he knew it was you.

"Hello sir. I'm here to give you Loki's answer." You state almost timidly.

"Report."

"He said that he would like to join the team sir." You report.

"That's great. You can move him to your apartment as soon as you like and we will work out any other specifics after. I don't want you leaving him alone yet, so when you move him make sure he never leaves your sight." Fury dictated with an iron voice.

"Yes sir. Thank you sir." You beamed, hardly able to contain your excitement and joy.

"You are dismissed."

With that you left the office and ran at some of your highest speeds, getting to Loki's cell in less than two seconds.

You unlocked the door and bolted inside, almost hitting the glass, thankfully Thor managed to stop you before you did.

"Alright Loki, if you want, you can move into my place today! We'll let you out and you can come home with me. I can't leave you alone yet, Fury's orders, but we can get you over to my apartment and I can show you around and getcha situated." You cheered with a giddy grin. Your wings ruffled a little in contentment.

"That's good to hear. I'm looking forward to being free of this cell." Loki states with a small smile on his face.

"Well come on then!" You chimed, going over to the door and unlocking it.

When Loki stepped out of the cell he was quickly crushed by a hug from Thor.

"This is just wonderful brother!" Thor belted as he held Loki in his arms.

"Thor... having trouble... breathing." Loki managed to wheeze out though his adoptive brothers arms.

"Come on Thor, we don't need Loki suffocating right after he gets free." You playfully scold, pushing Thor's arms down from his brothers frame.

"Better?" You ask Loki, who was currently taking deep breaths to regain the air in his lungs.

"Much better, thanks." His reply is breathy as he keeps taking deeper breaths.

"Good. Do you have any belonging here that you need to take to my place, or are you good?" You ask.

"I don't have anything here. Just myself and my clothes."

"Alright then. We can go ahead and go now if you want. Thor, do you want to come with us?" You inquire. Someone needed to help you eat all the pop tarts in your cabinet.

"I would love to Lady (Y/N), but Steve said that he needed to see me when I was off duty. I will visit you another day." Thor informed, a bit of a guilty look on his face.

"That's alright Thor. We'll see you later!"

You and Loki then went out the door and out to the lobby of S.H.E.I.L.D. HQ. The second you and Loki stepped out of the elevator, everything stopped. It was a miracle that a panic didn't break out.

Loki knew it was because of him, and he felt bad, but he kept a strong face. He as about to explain why he was here when he heard your voice from below and beside him.

"Whatcha lookin' at?" She asked almost too cheerily, rocking back and forth on her heels and toes, with her hands tightly clasped behind her back. The giveaway was her wings, which had flared a little. It was actually a bit scary.

Work then resumed. It was tense and a little slow, but at least they weren't staring anymore.

"Sorry about that." You apologize kindly, opening and holding the door for Loki.

"It's not a problem (Y/N). You needn't apologize for something that's not your fault." Loki softly insisted after you had caught up to him. You had held the door for a woman who gave you a strange look. Must be new.

"I know, I just feel that someone should apologize for that behavior. It's not right." You state rather determinedly.

"That's extremely kind of you (Y/N). I appreciate it more than you know." Loki paused for a second, "I almost can't blame them. Last time they saw or heard of me, I had just finished destroying half the city. They don't know of my sorrow for it." Loki says woefully as you catch a cab to your apartment. You opened the door for Loki and let him slide over before you sit on the black leather seats.

"Hey, at least the rest of the Avengers know. And I can almost promise you that once it gets out that you're a part of the team, the world will realize that you're not that bad a guy." You say hopefully, giving Loki a big smile and a pat on his head. To which he gave you a questioning look.

The ride to your apartment complex didn't take long. When you arrived, you paid the cabbie and walked to find the building your home was in.

Once you found the right building, and climbed the three flights of stairs it took to get to your home you stood in front of the door and looked to Loki.

"Well, here we are."
