(Noel's POV)
I glance warily at my two sisters behind me, they both nod and Quinn gives me a huge thumbs up while Faye makes a shooing motion with her hand.

"Go on", she mouths.

I look at the door in front of me and take a deep breath to muster up some courage but it doesn't work.

Faye and Quinn grab me as I hurriedly try to walk past them in an escape attempt, "you're not going anywhere. Do. It" Faye hisses as she and Quinn start pushing me back to the door.

I dig the heel of my feet into the ground immediately halting our movements.

"Why can't any of you two do it?"

"First of all, it was your idea", Faye grunts trying to pull me by my wrist but I wasn't bulging. She stops and glares at me, "second, you're her twin brother, she'd most likely listen to you"

"And last of all, you have the most balls amongst the three of us. The moon goddess knows that I can't talk to ody like this and neither can Faye", Quinn concludes the argument. They both fold their arms side by side glaring at me and if I didn't know better, I'd have thought that they were twins.

I raise my hands up in surrender, "okay-okay, I'll do it. But only because I'm concerned about odetta and not because you two forced me too"

"We're right behind you", Faye whispers.

They run behind me and stay a safe distance from the door to Ody's room and I. I roll my eyes at them and make my way to the door.

"Hey ody", I whisper as I knock lightly on her door.

I don't hear an answer and knock again but this time, it's louder.

There's silence for a few seconds and when I raise my fist to knock on her door for the third time, I hear a muffled groan, "go away Noel"

Funny of her to assume that I would listen to her. I scoff, "we both know that I'm not doing that"

There's silence and I turn back to look at Faye and Quinn who are even much farther from me than earlier. Quinn smiles and gives me a go-on nod.

I don't even have a moment to turn my head to the front when the door violently swings open. Odetta is standing in front of me and glaring at me like I'm the most hateful thing in the world.

"I told you to leave", her voice is dripping with annoyance and anger.

"We-" I briefly glance behind me to see Faye and Quinn are long gone, I let out a sigh and rub the bridge of my nose before hanging my head, "I was worried about you and just came to check up on you"

She doesn't say anything for a moment and I raise my head to see that she's no longer as angry as before and has her arms wrapped around her.

"I'm—" she shrugs while tracing patterns with her foot on the floor "fine"

"Bullshit"

"Mom said no swearing", I hear Quinn's voice remind from her hiding place around the corner.

We both ignore her and odetta continues, "I think I'm fine"

"You think?"

She nods and pauses, looking like she's deep in thoughts before continuing, "I don't know. I guess I'm fine"

"You're not"

She looks at me and gives me a small smile, "I really am"

I lean and flick her forehead, "you should know that you can't lie to me by now. We shared a womb, there's nothing you can keep from me"

That earns me a small laugh and I smile, it's been a while since she laughed like that.

"You know you should be thanking me every once in a while, I could've chosen to eat you then but I so humbly decided to leave you alive"

She laughs harder, "thank you for sparing my life Noel the humble one" she mock bows and we both start laughing.

"Is the coast clear?", we hear Quinn's small voice as she and Faye quietly peek at us round the corner.

Odetta nods and they both start making their way towards us.

"You devils" I point at them, "you said you were right behind me but you deserted me"

"Correction, we excused ourselves" Faye says.

"She could've killed me"

"you're still standing so I'm sure it went well"

They push past me and go to hug odetta and She hugs them back. Quinn pulls back and starts crying and gushing about how sorry she is and how hurt odetta must feel. Faye starts to cry too and to be honest, it's a fucking mess.

"It's okay.I'm honestly okay"

She lies but that seems to calm them both down.

"Wanna go play in the snow?", I suggest and the three turn to look at me.

"It's dark and cold"

"But there's snow and the stars are beautiful. I promise it will be amazing."

"I guess it won't hurt to stay outside a bit and star gaze", Quinn says excitedly and start pulling Faye with her.

"Hey," odetta stops them both, "it way past your bedtimes"

Faye groans and rolls her eyes, "come on ody, I thought you'd be way cooler than that"

"It's almost 3am, you two should be asleep"

They both try to use the puppy eyes on odetta but she doesn't bulge and they turn to me. Quinn still has a cute round face while Faye has mastered the puppy eyes and it makes it impossible to resist but I pull through.

"How about we take you both tomorrow," I lean in to whisper and they both lean in too, "by midnight, without mum or dad knowing and this time we can have snow ball fights, we can build a tent and drink hot chocolate and star gaze. How does that sound?"

"Do you promise?"

"Yes", I cross my heart.

Faye sighs and shuts her eyes in contemplation before finally snapping them open. "Okay we accept"

"Come on quinn" She links her arm with Quinn's and they walk away together.

When they're out of site, I turn to odetta. " you up for it?"

She still looks unsure and i nudge her, "how about we build a snow man while we're at it."

At this, she smiles at me and nods. We try to be as quiet as possible as we make our way outside but between the hushed giggles and bumping into things as shuffle around in the dark downstairs, I'm sure we'd woken everyone up.

When i finally pull back the door, she steps out and looks at the dark sky littered with stars. She looks back at me with a smile and jumps into the snow.

I follow suit and we spend the next thirty minutes running around and throwing snow at each other. We finally collapse onto the soft snow, side by side and out of breath.

We stay like that a while just looking up at the sky before she speaks, "thank you"

"For sparing your life in the womb?"

She lightly laughs, "for that and-" she pauses "for this too"

"You're welcome"

"Wanna talk?"

She shakes her head, "no"

I raise my head to look at her. Her eyes are shut and she has small ,silent tears sliding down the side of her head, "just—let's stay like this a while okay?"

I don't say anything and lay back down looking up at the sky with her. We found out a week ago that mason and Alexa just had their first child together and just when we thought that odetta was slowly getting over the painful rejection she'd faced in the hands of mason, this news comes and rips her again.

She hadn't spoken to anyone since the news, she just locked herself up in her room and cried, it was hard to get her to eat or do anything at all.

I clench my fist in anger, when I find that bastard, I'm going to kill him. I'm going make sure that he regrets hurting odetta in his life.

"Noel?"

Her shaky voice pulls me out from my thoughts, you can tell she's crying.

"Yeah?"

"Tell me I'm going to be okay and mean it"

"You're going to be okay", I say hoping that she's hears how much mean it. I know that she's going to be okay, she's odetta, my sister. I just know.

"Really?"

"I promise"

So sorry that this is late. I've been experiencing writer's block lately coupled with tons of school work. I did manage to write this on a whim on Friday while listening to music so sorry for the mistakes.
I have no idea on what to write for the final epilogue so if I could get suggestions, that would really help.
