"No!" I scream as I shoot up in a sitting position in bed.

Casper immediately rushes out of the closet to me and starts rubbing my back, "Are you okay?"

Tears run down my cheek and I turn towards him, I hold his face, turning it in my hands to inspect it before letting out a breath of relief and hugging him.

"Nightmare?" He softly asks.

I nod and hug him tighter as I let my tears fall,"It was a nightmare but It seemed so real"

"Did anything bad happen?"

"You were—" I choke up,"—killed."

He hugs me tighter,"Nothing will ever happen to me, I promise you that."

I look up at him,"You promise?"

"Promise."

We stay like that for a few minutes before I reluctantly let go, "You can still hold onto me if you want to." He tells me but I just shake my head.
"You've been really busy lately and I don't want to hold you back."

I notice it's bright out and he was probably getting ready to leave for work. "Don't be ridiculous." He tries to climb back in bed but I push him back.

"I'll just have my bath and join you soon okay?"

He hesitates before just kissing me and leaving the room. Immediately he leaves, I sigh and bury my face in my hands, "what the fuck was that?" I stay in that position for a long time just thinking about the dream before I stand up and take a quick shower.

I dress up in one of his sweatshirts and short shorts before quickly passing a comb through my hair. I leave his room and slowly enter his office. He raises his head from the file he's looking at.

"Come here." He says and scoots his chair back. I walk behind the big desk to him and plop down in his lap. He wraps his arms around me as my back press against his chest.

"Why aren't you at the office?"

"Do you really think I'd leave you alone after you woke up screaming?"

We don't say anything else for a while.

"Do you feel better?" He asks and I nod. "You can get back to work." I tell him and pick a letter from the stack of papers on his desk. He just kisses my head softly before picking up the file he was reading.

We stay like that with him occasionally stroking my hair or kissing the barely exposed part of my neck. "Red river pack wants me to inspect some weird things happening in their pack urgently." He tells me and I know he's silently asking for my permission.

"I think you should go."

"You sure?"

I nod and look properly at the letter of in my hand. "It seems that silver pack also needs urgent attention." I murmur.

"Let me see that." I hand him the paper and he reads it before running a hand through his hair,"shit. They both need urgent attention. What do I do?"

"You could go to red river pack while I go to silver pack."

He frowns at my words but I continue, "They both need urgent attention and we can't just leave one waiting for while attend to the other"

"I could send Victor to see what's wrong."

"I'm sure he's busy you know. I'm the luna, you should be falling back to me for help before your Beta." I cross my arms.

He looks like he's not even considering it and I get up from my position on his lap,"Come on don't be like that." He says as I make my way towards the couch in his office.

"Are you serious?" I look him dead in the eye and sit on the couch before proceeding to continue what I'm reading.

He sighs and rubs his eye, "why do want to this so much?"

"Because I'm a Luna. This is supposed to be my job. We can't ignore one pack to attend to the other."

"Are you sure that you'd be able to handle it, this could be serious and maybe even beyond your capabilities."

"I am a Luna and an Oracle in training for crying out loud. Of course I can handle it."

He smiles before signaling for me to come and resume my former position on his lap. "I'm not doubting you. I'm just worried about you." He kisses my neck and holds tighter onto me.

"And Javier?"

"I'll take him with me."

"Take Sebastian with you."

I shake my head,"He has a mate now. I can't just drag him around."

"That shouldn't be a problem, It's his job."

I slap his chest,"Well, I don't need Sebastian and I'm not bring him along. End of story."

"Yeah, No. Definitely not the end of whatever story."

I just roll my eyes and continue looking through all other papers, "he's not coming with me okay?"

He looks like he wants to argue further but he backs down. Instead he reads through the letter again.

"You'll have to be at the pack by tomorrow."

"So soon." I wonder.

"It's urgent, remember?"

He hugs me tighter,"I'm missing you already."

I laugh and turn around before kissing him and I stand up and pull him up with me,"let's go have breakfast."

I leave before him and enter the room before making my way to the walk in closet. I change out of my short shorts and into comfy sweatpants.

We then go downstairs to Anne and Javier watching T.v. Javier notices our presence and spares us a quick glance before focusing on the show again.

"Good morning."

"Good morning Alpha, Luna." Anne says with a slight bow of her head. I didn't even know she was here, maybe she spent the night.

Casper just nods,"How are you Anne?" I say as I walk towards Javier.

"I'm doing good Luna. Thank you for asking." She says as I place a kiss on his forehead and he does the same to me. "My Precious. How are you doing?" I murmur.

He beams at me,"I'm fine, how was your night?"

I remember my dream and remember how Javier was crushed to death which makes me shudder. Javier notices this and touches my forehead, "Are you sick?"

"No—I'm just thinking of something."

He gives me a questioning stare and I just smile and kiss his nose,"I am really okay. I promise. Do you want breakfast?"

"Are you the one making breakfast?"

"Maybe."

"I'm full."

"I'd rather die than let you cook." Casper says, "I'm the one cooking and I'll get you something to eat. Would you like a plate of sausage and gravy casserole Anne?"

"Thank you but no Alpha." I'm sure it's weird to eat breakfast with your boss and Alpha.

"I'm getting for you either way." Casper just says and enters the kitchen.

I'm about to leave when Javier holds my hand,"Are you sure that you're okay mummy?"

His eyes hold concern and I pick him up and hold him. He's at my eye level and I kiss his nose, his cheek, his forehead and all over his face,"I'm—"

"Don't lie to me. You and daddy always lie." He pleads.

"It's nothing you should worry about."

He just latches onto my neck and hugs me tight,"Even if you won't tell me what's wrong, I know it will be okay. You can do anything."

"The world doesn't deserve you."

-I haven't updated in a while because I'm getting used to my new surrounding and for this week,laziness has won all the battles but today,I conquered.
