It's four in the morning when I abruptly wake up. I saw Dakota in my dreams telling me to wake up and come immediately. I don't know how she did that.

"Weird." I say to myself and change into my ugliest pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt and washing my face before I go downstairs.

I try not to make some noise since everyone is sure to be asleep. I go to kitchen first and pick an apple to eat on the way. I unlock the door as quietly as I can and start heading towards the cabin. The night should scare me but it doesn't. There's a certain calm that washes over me under the dark sky. It doesn't take long before I reach oracle Dakota's cabin and I can barely make out the shape in the darkness.

"You're here quickly. Figured it would take you another thirty. It always took Adrianna that long." I hear Dakota say somewhere in the dark.

"Where the fuck are you? I came as fast as I could." I whisper as I squint and look around.

"I have a lot to teach you but first your wolf." She says and i sense her presence behind me.

She smiles at me, "I thought you would go back to sleep thinking that it was just a meaningless dream."

"How did you do that?"

"Star anise. Lesson one." She says and start walking away.

I follow her, "what is star anise?"

"It's an ancient herb that is used for good luck, dream psychic, travel charms and clairvoyance."

My eyebrows were pulled together in confusion but I don't say anything. Am i going to learn all that and more?

"Clairvoyance is the ability to perceive things or events in the future or beyond normal sensory contact and if you keep taking it for that reason, your werewolf sense will be improved and in your case, your wolf might be able to come back."

"Oh." I say. I have nothing else to say.

"She's trapped somewhere deep inside you. Poor thing couldn't take the pain any longer. She's not gone, she's in there somewhere." He states and leads both of us deep into the forest. She stops beside a lake in a clearing. She drops her basket and staff before bringing out a bowl and a plant before mixing it with the water.

"Lesson two, always be prepared. Knowledge is nothing without preparation." She tells me before walking over to me with the bowl. She hands it to me. "drink."

I look at the bowl unsure and purse my lips, "Are you sure?"

She simply nods as I close my eyes and pinch my nose, blocking the disgusting smell before hurriedly drinking up the mixture. Surprisingly, it wasn't as bitter as I expected it to be—it was actually a little sweet.

"Why did I take that?" I ask and wipe my lips with the back of my palm and hand the bowl over to her.

She doesn't answer me and washes the bowl in the river before putting it back in her basket. She sits down cross legged beside the bank and nods at the spot in front of her. I sit on the spot and stare at her.

"I can't train you if you have a lot of negative emotions blocking your pathways."

"What do you mean?"

"Mason."

My eyes widen, "how did you know?" I never told her that my wolf disappeared ever since Mason ended things with me.

"I'm the oracle."

"Oh."

"He has you feeling so much and blocking your growth. And I think it's you that pushed your wolf away. Locking her yo to stop the pain." She continues, "and we're here now to help you and get her free."

"The mixture I gave you is nettle and it's used for emotional healing."

I nod and tuck it in somewhere in my mind. She gives a reassuring smile.

"You have a future here and you're holding on to those strong, negative emotions. That's not God for you, Javier or Casper."

I suddenly feel the familiar lump in my throat and I squeeze my eyes shut.

"It's okay." She murmurs reassuringly, "I need you to close your eyes and just focus on Mason."

"I can't do that, I'm sorry. I finally feel better even though it's for a little bit. I can't go back there. I can't go back to the hurt." I whisper.

"Just trust me and do as I say." I do as she says and close my eyes and focus on mason and only mason. Moon Goddess my heart hurts.

"I need you to recite these words as the nettle helps cleanse everything about mason and I assure you that you will feel mason fading away."

"Black salt of earth and fire
Grant my wish, listen to my desire
This memory which haunts my sleeps
Blind it here, let this ground be its keep."

I murmur this words continually and soon enough, I start to feel a sudden heaviness in my chest. I feel my wolf whine and stir and suddenly I'm pulled into a sub space. I see a Brown Wolf and I recognize her as mine. Her head is bowed and she's whimpering. I can hear her hurt.

I move closer and wrap my arms around her. She lays her large head against my shoulder and I run my hands through her thick coat, caressing her. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Please come back to me." I keep on whispering to her.

After that, I start to feel like my insides are being cleansed. Oracle Dakota has a hand on my head and she's also chanting something but I don't listen to that instead I focus deep within myself and my heart feeling lighter.

Like she said, there was fading pain and with each passing second, I could feel my wolf. Stronger now, no longer feeling faint traces of her. The thought of mason no longer brought crushing regret, doubt or pain. They didn't disappear completely but I felt better.

"How do you feel dear?" I hear her far away voice.

"He didn't want me and I'm okay. He rejected me and It's okay. He loved another more than me and I'm perfectly fine now. I've finally come to terms that he clearly didn't want me. My wolf is here to stay with me." I murmur.

"And you can finally love, trust and feel happy again." Dakota says and this time, her voice sounds nearer and clearer. I open my eyes and she's right in front of me.

"You have a purpose and you can finally fulfill it—do you know why?"

I nod, "because I finally let go."

"Do you know how this happened?"

She smiles when I shake my head, "The nettle cleansed your insides, it washed away all the negative emotions that grew in you all these years and the words you had recited were words translated from Ancient Tongue."

"You were chanting something while you had a hand on my head, what was it?"

"Tel tiagre novis tiagre scret curate, it means 'the cure and care of the grace of the ancients, it is for you'."

I nod and wipe my tears, "I'm going to keep note of this. Thank you for the lesson."

"You're welcome, But keep in mind that the spell just did more than half of the work because you also need to do the rest by yourself."

"How?"

She gives me the smile that Luna gives me when she she's cooking up something devious, "You have to love."

"Love who? I don't know if I can feel so strongly about anyone that way again."

She gives a small smile. "I think you know who."

I have a feeling that she's talking about Alpha Casper and I look at her in disbelief, "you must be joking." I deadpan. She shakes her head, "Your future with Casper will still happen, no matter how stubborn you both can be."

"What the hell? It's just not possible. I can't even say anything with him claiming that I'm 'disrespecting' him. Who does that?"

"Deny it all you want, it's just a matter of time."

I shake my head, "I don't have to force myself to love him."

"If you found it easy to love Javier, It's going to be the same for Casper."

I doubt that. If loving Alpha Casper is like disliking him, them I'm in for a ride.

Her face suddenly turns serious and I match her look. "Now that your pathway and wolf are unblocked, you can finally start seriously training because what is coming, is too big for me. It's not my battle to fight."

"What do you mean 'what is coming'?"

"Javier is needed, it would've been better if he got the gift of the oracle but it skipped him."

"I don't get your point"

"He's more special than that." She pauses, "his blood. It's just like his mother's and mine. Phoenix blood. But his' is stronger."

"What does it mean? what do you mean? Phoenix blood?"

"Your purpose is to learn everything from me and protect him when the time comes."

"Dakota you're scaring me. I don't understand."

"Alpha Casper will explain."

-Oh my God!!!!! So it's my 20th chapter and I never expected to be writing as far as this chapter ever.

-So I don't know if I can be updating as frequently because I'll be getting busier and busier but I'll try so hard to update.
-Hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I always kept in my mind as I started this story that Javier will be special and important so this is it.
-You guys probably don't care but I was jamming to lucid dreams on repeat while writing this chapter.
