Trying To Patch It Up

Scott's Perspective-
The familiar bell chimed as Scott walked into The Jazz Café.
He looked around and only saw Cleo working.
"Er- is Jimmy here?" He asked and she shook her head.
"He quit yesterday."
"Oh..." Scott trailed off.
Cleo looked a bit concerned.
"Everything alright?" She asked and Scott shook his head.
She smiled sympathetically, "My shift is almost done. How about I make you something and we can sit down and talk?"
Scott smiled weakly and nodded.
"I'll take some hot chocolate please."
-
"So, what's going on?" Cleo asked as she sat across from Scott.
Scott blew on his drink and took a sip of it before sighing.
"I accidentally kissed my ex-boyfriend who cheated on my years ago and my boyfriend saw us, and he thought that I intentionally kissed him when I didn't, and my boyfriend broke up with me and now I'm not able to patch things up because he's avoiding me, and his sister isn't allowing me to speak to him and...well yeah."
Cleo's eyes widened, "Woah there. That sounds like a lot."
Scott nodded.
"So...well I'm assuming your boyfriend, now ex-boyfriend, the one who saw you kissing your other ex-boyfriend, is Jimmy, right?"
Scott nodded.
"Well...okay so explain it but slower."
Scott took a deep breath.
"A couple of years ago, I dated this guy named...Ethan. I thought he was super sweet, but he was abusing me. He made it so he had absolute control over me, and I couldn't make a single decision without having to ask him what to do. Eventually, I saw that he was cheating on me and tried to break up with him. I don't think I've ever shouted so loud in my entire life than that night. He ended up hitting me and I kicked him before running out of his house. Then my family moved here."
Scott paused to take a sip of his hot chocolate before continuing.
"Then I met Jimmy, and he's wonderful." Scott said, smiling faintly, "He's so sweet and funny and kind. I know that he would do anything to make sure I was happy."
Scott's smile then faded.
"At least...he used to. I was here a couple of days ago to pick up Jimmy, and Ethan was working. He gave me some hot chocolate and ended up kissing me. Jimmy saw us and shouted at me before running off. I tried to chase after him, but Ethan stopped me. I shouted at Ethan, telling him to just leave me alone and that he gave me enough trouble already. But the damage was already done. I tried to go to Jimmy's house later, but his sister answered the door and told me that I should just leave."
Scott felt a knot start to tie in his throat and he took a deep breath, trying to hold back his tears.
"And yeah. Now I'm heartbroken and have no chances of fixing it because the man that I love is gone."
"He's not gone, he's just..."
"Ignoring me and will probably never speak to me again." Scott finished bitterly.
"Yeah..." Cleo said, sighing.
"Look, Scott, I'm just going to say it, all you need to do is talk with him and explain what happened."
"That's what I've been trying to do!" Scott whined, "I've been trying to this entire time, but I can't!"
"Then call him or send him a text!"
"He's probably blocked me!"
Cleo sighed, "Then text his sister. Explain what happened."
"She probably blocked me too."
"Fine. Then I'll do it."
Scott's eyes widened as Cleo took out her phone and started texting Lizzie.
"What'd you ask her to do?" Scott asked, watching in fear as Cleo sent the text.
"I asked her to meet me here. You're going to explain what's going on though."
I bit my lip.
"That's not going to work." I said but Cleo waved a hand down.
"You'll be fine."
Lizzie's Perspective-
Maybe Cleo just wants to hang out. It'll be nice to; I haven't spoken to her in ages.
Lizzie arrived in The Jazz Café, and she saw Cleo waving to her.
Lizzie smiled but it quickly faded as she saw Scott.
"Hi Cleo! Hi Scott." Lizzie said Scott's name bitterly, shooting him a look.
"Hey Liz! I had something I needed to talk to you about. Well, Scott and I both needed to talk to you about." Cleo said and Lizzie's eyes narrowed.
"Is this about Jimmy?" Lizzie asked.
"Er- yes." Cleo said.
"I don't wanna hear it." Lizzie said, holding up a hand.
"Come on, Lizzie! Scott didn't mean to hurt Jimmy!"
"How do you know?! How can you trust him?"
"All I'm asking you to do is hear him out." Cleo said and Lizzie sighed, folding her arms.
"Fine." Lizzie said coldly.
"Here, let me pull you up a seat." Cleo said, getting up and stealing a seat from a nearby table.
Lizzie sat down and death stared Scott.
"So, Scott, would you like to explain what happened?" Cleo asked and Scott nodded.
"You see- "
