The Jazz Cafe Disaster
Jimmy's Perspective-
Jimmy smiled grimly as Eliot walked over to him.
Eliot smiled sickly.
"Good morning, Jimmy."
Jimmy nodded.
"You're not going to say good morning?" Eliot asked, putting on an apron.
"Hi." Jimmy said coldly.
"That's the ticket." Eliot said, winking at Jimmy.
"Stop the act." Jimmy said, folding his arms.
"What act?" Eliot asked, walking up close to Jimmy and grabbing his chin.
Jimmy smacked him away.
"That act."
Eliot smirked and shrugged.
"Fine." He said, "Besides, you're not my type."
Jimmy rolled his eyes.
"But Scott is." Eliot mumbled under his breath.
"I'm sorry?" Jimmy asked.
"Ooo! You're the protective type of boyfriend." Eliot said, looking up at down at Jimmy.
"So what?" Jimmy spat.
Eliot smirked, "It's just good to know."
Jimmy narrowed his eyes.
Just then, the little bell at the door chimed as two girls walked in.
Eliot smiled and walked to the counter, helping them out.
Jimmy made the drinks and handed them to the girls.
He then walked back to the counter and saw Eliot smile.
"What?" Jimmy barked.
"Oh, nothing." Eliot said, waving an impatient hand, but Jimmy had a bad feeling.
-
Over the next couple of weeks, Eliot and Jimmy had a hard time getting along.
Eliot kept flirting with basically every customer and kept wanting to find out more and more about Jimmy.
It was like he was planning something.
Whatever it was, it was bothering Jimmy.
-
Jimmy sighed as he collapsed into Scott's car.
"How was work?" Scott asked, smiling over at Jimmy.
Jimmy mumbled something inaudible, and Scott giggled, kissing his boyfriend's cheek.
"Is it Eliot?" Scott asked and Jimmy nodded, sitting up and strapping in.
Scott started to drive off and Jimmy began his story.
"Eliot's been asking me so many questions and ends up looking me up and down and repeats what I said. It's weird."
Scott hummed and Jimmy looked at him.
"What?" Scott asked, smiling jokingly at Jimmy.
Jimmy smiled weakly.
"I'm just worried Eliot's going to do something to hurt you."
Scott sighed, but a smile was still on his face.
"You don't have to worry about me, Sunflower."
"I know, but I'm just...it feels like he's trying to prove that he's better than me."
"Well, he's not. Trust me. I love you more than I would ever love him."
"I just...I don't want him to hurt you more than he already has."
Scott's smile faded a bit.
"And...well are you comfortable telling me how he hurt you?"
Scott stopped at a red light and Jimmy saw tears shimmering in his eyes.
"I- he..." Scott stopped, remembering his talk with Tom the other day.
"Hey," Jimmy said, holding his boyfriend's hand, "You don't have to tell me today. I'm just trying to help."
Scott smiled and softly kissed Jimmy's lips.
"I know, Sunflower, and I appreciate it," Scott said, breaking apart from the kiss, "I just don't think I'm ready yet."
Jimmy nodded, "I understand."
Scott smiled and then continued to drive to the Darity's house.
