I woke up to the radio. One of my favourite songs was playing; forget about it by All Time Low. This was the first day waking up in this building, I'd recently moved to London for University, and I was staying in a rented out apartment by myself. I hadnt got round to putting anything up on the walls yet, but I was planning to.
I had moved all the way from Stoke-on-Trent and knew no one here, plus im very socially awkward. I couldnt even teach primary school children something because I was too nervous to say anything. Ye so that's me, socially awkward Rae who will do anything not to talk to people.
I got ready and put on my favourite clothes, my light blue jeans, white jumper and converses. Almost tripping over as I tried to put my jeans on (oh ye im also very clumsy) But by nine o'clock I was ready to go. Showered, dressed and had about a mouth full of cereal because I was too nervous to eat anymore.
I shoved my books and timetable along with some food to eat for dinner, as I had no idea how much food at University would cost, into my bag and set out the door holding a travel mug of tea in one hand. It was too early to go to Uni now so I decided to visit the local DVD store and browse. I walked into the nearest shop to get some movies. I was alone and would be alone while watching these movies but I didn't really mind. I walked straight to horror section and began to browse through the movies for a bit, unsure of what to get since I'd watched so many of the movies already.
"we have some great movies for 99p over there if you're interested" A guy, who obviously worked here, asked
"Thanks, I'll have a look later." I said sweetly knowing I wouldn't look at all but I didnt want to say that to him, luckily he just nodded and walked off
"I've heard good things about Cabin in the Woods." A voice, different to the worker guy said, handing me the movie.
"Yeah. I've seen it many times. It's a good movie' I replied. Handing it back and looking up to give them a smile. All I saw was blue eyes looking at me out of a hooded jacket that was soaked through. How long had I been in the shop for? I wondered it looks like its been raining for a while
"Oh. Nice to meet you. So you like scary movies?" He asked.
"Yeah. But a lot of them are either gory with no story, or have a lot of story but no gore." I explained suprised I was actually producing words correctly.
"tell me about it" He replied, giving me a little smile 'saying that I never watch these films on my own'
"I do, well I will be today' brain derp there well done Rae youve just told a stranger youll be home alone, he could be a murderer or a rapist
"Well my friend and I are watching scary movies tonight if you want to join. That way you won't be alone and you will have real muscle to scare off the demons" He held up his arms to show off his muscle and showing me a massive smile, which made me laugh
"thanks, but I wouldnt like to intrude' I replied and you could be a murderer I added mentally
"come on, itll be fun." He smiled like a child in a candy shop.
"Are you sure?" I asked "I mean you literally just met me"
"ye I'm sure, you seem pretty cool" he smiled.
"Um.. I cant tonight' I replied to him, feeling really awkward and just wishing I could leave
"maybe at the end of the week then?." He asked, I nodded just wanting to go and he reached into his bag and started writing in his notebook "heres my number, text me yours"
"Alright" I replied grabbing the piece of paper. Lucky he wrote it on a piece of paper because it meant I could just not call him and if I met him around town I could say I lost the paper.
"My name's Phil by the way' He smiled once again
"Rae" I replied. I checked the time and saw it was almost half nine and Uni started at 10 "I've got to get going" I told him and after a quick wave ran out the shop.

hey, this is my first written story that I found on my Quotev and am trying to make it a little better... hope you like it.

I got the idea because I wanted to read a zombie apocalypse based story with two of my favourite YouTubers in it (Dan and Phil) but the one I fount wasn't finished so I decided to make my own. x3
