Claire's POV
September 20th, 2019

I let out a sigh as I walked in my room. Everything was mostly untouched, except for some of my clothes that my parents took out of my closet.
I threw my dirty clothes into my laundry basket and made my way to my bed. There, I flopped down on my bed and started to pick at my eyelashes.
When I was diagnosed with Trichtillomania in the hospital, some of the nurses thought it was just anxiety. When I laid in the hospital bed at night, all I could do was worry and pluck at my eyelashes until my fingers were sore.
During the day, though, I would research Trichtillomania (or Trich, as some people call it). I learned that this disorder is into the OCD category, which explains the obsessive compulsive part. I also learned that people can get it after a tragic or traumatizing experience (for me, spider bite.)
While I laid on my bed at home, I decided to pull my fingers away from my eyes and grabbed my phone, that way I could begin to research more. I learned about the medication that I could take, and what type of therapy's I could go to.
I scrolled through my phone for about 5 minutes until I decided to get up and check on my succulents. I had over 20 in my room, but don't judge me. I love growing them.
They all sat on my windowsill. I had two large windows in my room. One was on the back wall and the other was kitty cornered to my bedroom door.
I had a plastic water bottle by my succulents, so I used the remaining water to water them. Once I was done watering them, I began to prune the plants of dead leaves.
I grabbed the nearest plant. A plush plant. I picked it up and began to prune it.
I didn't notice the glow at first.
I kept on pruning on all of my plants. But on the last plant, I noticed the glow around my hand. At first I thought it was just the pot, but then I took my hand away.
It was my hand that was glowing.
I almost threw my plant, but I quickly set it down before trying to figure out why my hands were doing this.
I stared at my hands. The glow was subsiding, which was a good sign. I looked back at my plants before placing a finger on a leaf of my plush plant.
That's when the plant started to grow on its own.
I jumped back in surprise as it grew, but without my touch, it stopped.
I breathed in, trying to regain any calmness I had left. Surely this is just an allergic reaction to something, right?
But I knew there was only one person who could give me the answer I needed.
So, I grabbed my phone and began to walk downstairs. I passed Keith's room. It seemed quiet in there, so that was good. Since he was bitten, he's been acting distant and paranoid.
I walked into the kitchen. My mom was at the table, scrolling through her phone. She was probably looking for supper ideas on Pinterest.
"Hey mom?" I asked, " Could I go over to Charlie's house? I'm pretty much unpacked. I can bring Keith along too if he wants to come with."
She looked up from her phone and gave me a small smile. "I suppose. When you head upstairs, can you ask him if he needs anything?" She asked me.
I nodded, " Yeah, I can. Thank you." And with that, I made my way upstairs towards Keith's bedroom.
Knock knock.
"Come in." Keith said as I opened the door.
"Mom wants to know if you need anything." I said, waiting for his answer patiently.
"Yeah, could I have a glass of water? My hands are shaking, so I'm gonna guess it's the anxiety of being at home again." He said. I nodded, and began to exit the room when he asked me.
"Claire, why do you only have half of your eyelashes?" He asked curiously. I turned around and blinked. After a moment I answered.
"Like I said, I was diagnosed with OCD, but this type of OCD is called Trichotillomania. This means I pull out my eyelashes, eyebrows, hair, etc." I then turned around and headed towards the kitchen.
"He just wants water. I can bring it up to him, since I didn't ask if he wanted to come with me." I told my mom. She just gave me a nod as I poured a glass of water for Keith.
I then walked back upstairs and walked into his room. I proceeded to set his glass on his desk when he asked me another question.
"Hey Claire? Does it.......hurt, when you pull at your eyelashes?" He asked, glancing up at me from his phone.
I shrugged a bit, "It does hurt, but I guess the pain is somewhat satisfying. It's basically a coping method, you know? Like how drawing is yours. Yes, my method is a bit unstable and isn't good for me, but I can't stop myself." I then proceeded to subconsciously brush my eyelashes that weren't so protected behind my glasses. I was kind of day dreaming when Keith brought me back into the real world.
"Claire, what did you do to my water?" He said, annoyed. But I could tell that he was confused.
I crossed my arms before making my way towards him, "I did nothing to it. All I did was grab the glass and poured water in it."
I glanced over at the water cup. It was shaking a lot now. I looked over at Keith, who was somewhat mesmerized by it.
And then the cup fell, and the water went to Keith.
He put his hands in front of him, trying to protect himself. I watched in total shock as the water stopped not that far from his hand.
'Okay, definitely not an allergic reaction.' I thought to myself.
Keith slowly opened his eyes and saw the water hovering not that far from his hands.
And just like any other freaked out person who would happen to be in this situation, he screamed.
"Keith, you need to calm down." I ordered, trying to figure out how to pick up the water in the air.
"Calm?!? I am the definition of calm!!!" He yelled, shaking a bit. I rolled my eyes before asking.
"Do you think you could try to put it back into the cup?" He looked at me like I was stupid (I'm not stupid 😂 ) before nodding uncertainly.
"I can try..." He said slowly, moving his hands a bit. The water flopped around in the air, just like how a fish would do it on land.
It took him a good half hour before he finally got it back into the cup. I then proceeded to grab his hand and drag him out of his room.
"Why are you dragging me?" He asked, keeping up with me.
"We are going to Charlie's to get some answers." I said firmly.

UmmmMmm, I don't have a lot to say for this chapter.
But Hamilton is now on Disney Plus! I cried during some of the songs, and then I tried to sing them while crying 😂.
Also, not related to Hamilton, if you guys are into Percy Jackson, I am currently working on a fanfic for my PJO OCs! I have the first chapter up already 😊
Well, goodnight! It's currently.....1:18 am.
