Making the birds call
As the light fades

Whispering.
The tree tops reach
The dark blue sky
Letting me know
Darkness is nigh

Talking.
The distant sound of a dog barking
The muffled babble of voices
Disrupting the beautiful peace
Forcing me to ignore it
