The prisoner jerked and screamed as electricity passed through him. He could feel the heat and pain course through his body. They had injected him with a serum that would prevent him from passing out for hours and kept him hydrated throughout, the pain would be endless. He was spreadeagled on the wall and that was painful enough without the electricity.

Then it suddenly stopped.

“Why do you do this to yourself? We know where your home world is located.” He heard the mocking tone of his interrogator from the chair across him. “all we need are the locations of your famed plasma towers defense network.”

“I do not know.” He said through clenched teeth.

“You want more of this? Listen closely my friend. Even if you do not reveal it to me, the invasion will still take place. The difference will be that your planet will be in ruins and the network will be completely useless to anyone,” he let out a breath, “so let's do this again, shall we? Tell me where all your defense towers are located and I will spare your life.”

The prisoner laughed, “what makes you even think that I would cooperate with you?”

“You're right. It's futile. But you know what, I won't kill you. I'll let you watch the invasion as it happens; you will see your cities crumble, your soldiers decimated, your planet dying. Then once all is lost, I will let you back on your planet. You, who could have helped us easily take over, will be the one responsible for its death and destruction.”

“We would all rather die than be enslaved by you!”

“We are not that different, us and you. Look at us: bipedal, erect, similar heights and builds. The only distinguishing factor is the skin and hair. We are a little hairy while you are what we call scaly. And you're all bald. We could be brothers from different mothers.”

“We came to your planet for peaceful purposes on your invitation. We even learned your language so that we could trade efficiently. Yet you killed my entire party and are torturing me for information to invade us. Do you think this act of aggression will go unnoticed by others? You have a lot to answer for.”

“And who's gonna question us? We're the undisputed powerhouse in this sector. There is no one who will even dare to look us in the eye. I will give you one last chance to give me the information I want.”

The prisoner let out a defeated breath and looked down.

The interrogator continued, “tell me where they are.”

The prisoner looked up smiling, “in your mum's knickers,” he said laughing out loud.

The interrogator lost his cool and jumped up from his chair, pushed the technician at the electricity control panel and cranked it all the way up. The prisoner was still laughing, and screaming in obvious pain.

“Is that funny, reptile? IS IT?!” He shouted, suddenly stopping the flow.

“Reptile,” the prisoner mused just before passing out, he was still smiling.
