He has three scars. Two are from being stabbed in the stomach, and the other from one of his brothers throwing a knife at him. The knife only scraped three inches above his elbow, but it was deep enough to scar.

|Personality|

He is validation-seeking, reputation-oriented, and anxious out of his mind. He cares very much about what others think of him, and he identifies himself through everyone else. He tries to be what everyone expects him to be: Prideful, Noble, Egotistical, High-Strung, and Extremely Straight™. He is gets annoyed easily when he isn't listened to or if someone disrespects him. He HATES it if you call him effeminate in any way, even though he actually is pretty effeminate. He is very prim and proper. Though, underneath his exterior, he is afraid of almost everything. His family would kill him if they thought he was actually anything less than what they believe him to be, even though they tease him relentlessly. He is actually very nervous and paranoid about being "found out" or "caught". He just wants to feel like he can be himself, whoever that may be. He is actually very soft and romantic, and a total dork. Despite all of that, he still is very proud and protective of his 'persona', so to speak, and will defend his honor no matter who he hurts. He has never made any real friends, which is why unbeknownst to everyone, he writes stories about King Alabaster, a character based on himself which he wants to be. King Alabaster is free to be who and does what he wants, and everyone loves him and treats him with respect.

|Strengths|

He is extremely good at dancing, but his waltz is the best by far. He is used to keeping his emotions in check, so he usually doesn't have any problems with losing his cool. He has become quite skilled at pretending to be someone else. His lying skills are impeccable, and it is almost impossible to notice when he's lying. He has a good amount of physical strength, enough to satisfy his persona. He can cook pretty decently.

|Weaknesses|

Cannot fight/battle for his life, poor guy. He has the strength, but he freezes up every time. He can dodge on a good day. Also, is freaked out by most animals. He is very self-conscious of his... everything. He wants to make absolutely sure he fits his persona, which can absolutely hurt the people he cares about. (There's only a few, but still.) When he gets way too nervous around a guy, he usually acts aloof and disrespectful, in hopes that the guy might leave him alone. (But if he really likes the guy, he apologizes for his behavior.)

He LOVES dancing with all of his heart. He finds it very romantic and beautiful. He loves writing stories about King Alabaster and his mighty deeds. He plays the guitar very well, and it is something he is proud about.

|Relationship With Family|

Toxic masculinity? We heard of her. Daniel absolutely loathes his family. They are the sole reason he has this persona. They don't like that Daniel is like his mother, and have attempted to mold him into whatever he is now. He was never allowed to know anything about his mother beside the basics, her name and her age when she died. Tom once thought that Daniel was coming onto a girl he liked, so he threw a knife at him. Brothers, ya know?

|Closest Sibling|

He hates his brothers equally, but Braden has been nice to him on the occasion. (Like remembering his birthday, going easier on Daniel when he's sick, etc.) But that is once every million years.

|Friends/Enemies/Lovers/Relationships|

He has made no significant friends or enemies. (besides his family) He has engaged in a non-physical relationship with three women, just to keep up the Extremely Straight™ charade. He has had one lover, named Ryan, and he loved him more than the waking world. He would sneak off to see him all the time. It took some time, but eventually, he was ready to come out to his family and propose to Ryan. He saw more than a future with Ryan- he couldn't see a future without him. But, Ryan panicked when he found out how serious Daniel was, and how being together would ruin each other's reputations. Ryan said some really hurtful things and left Daniel. Daniel still hasn't quite recovered from this, as it was only twenty months before the selection.

|Backstory|

When he was younger, his family never spent any bonding time with him. This is where he developed his imagination and love for storytelling. He was always doing something because of them, like training because father said so, or delivering lunch to your brother's room, but they barely spent any time face to face. And when they did, his brothers teased him about how soft he was. He was seven years old when he started to build his persona, as well as creating King Alabaster. (He just liked to say the word alabaster when he was 7) As he got older and less himself, his brothers starting hanging around more, to keep him in check. His father has only shown disappointment in him. Not much changed besides that. Then there was Ryan. His brothers started to notice that he was never there to do any tasks they didn't want to do. When Ryan stopped seeing was the hardest part of his life. He still had to pretend to be his persona as he sobbed himself to sleep every night. Although he's gotten better about Ryan, there are still things that remind him of him. Even still, he is finally ready to begin to move on. He has smiled through the pain. Neither of his brothers wanted anything to do with the selection, and his father wanted to get rid of Daniel for a while, so he sent him. Daniel has realized that if he plays his cards right, the whole selection will be a way to relax and forget about the pain at home. He intends to finally make some friends and to loosen up in his own way.

|Thoughts On The Selection|

He thinks it will be a great way to get away from his family. He is ready to relax, meet a few people, (just a few) and to find himself.

|Hopes For The Selection|

He hopes for the best for everyone, but he also hopes that he can make some friends and finally let go of his persona.

|Favorite/Least Favorite, Thing About Your Own Kingdom|

Favorite: How he can walk out onto his balcony and practically touch the clouds. He loves how high up his room is, it's a lovely view.

Least Favorite: How is family rules it. He's not exactly sure how he would rule the kingdom, but certainly nothing like how his father rules.

|How Has Living In Your Home Kingdom Affected You|

It has created Daniel into a lover of things he shouldn't love, a terrified and neglected prince, and a person he hardly recognizes in the mirror anymore. Daniel's sure if he were born anywhere else, he wouldn't be the way he is. (Which would be a plus.)

|Guilty Pleasure|

Dancing/His storytelling. He loves to dance, and dances at least once a day. He also keeps himself going with King Alabaster's great adventures and triumphs. He couldn't live without either, but would rather be caught dead than seen doing either of them by his family.

He's neither really. He can be naughty and/or nice, it just depends on who you are to him.

-He still has Ryan's blue jacket, and often uses it to hide things, like a one-of-a-kind and extremely expensive broach from his mother, some written down versions of his stories of King Alabaster, and a picture of Ryan.
