The dream

The dream started off in a suburban area. It was night time and the streets lit up the busy traffic with hues of yellow and orange. I was walking in a dress with a highly patterned bag hung across my body. I was walking towards this old train station. My feet clattered on the worn grey pavement before I moved into the quieter part of town. Before I knew it the material under me had changed.

The grass around me started off small as my feet crunched on its greenery but then grew to higher as I came to the wire fence. A car had suddenly pulled up beside me. It was a slightly rusted blue Ute, that seemed to have winding windows rather than those automatic ones.

Inside was four people, I could only make out three at first. They were young kids no older than 10 or 12 years. They had pressed down a large car horn as they pulled up beside me, then the child in the front seat proceeded to make some crude remark - which I had uncharacteristicly ignored.

They followed me, rolling the car beside me as I finally reached the station. At this point the sun had risen and street lights had finished their shift. The train station was surrounded by tall grass and seemed to lower slowly as i climbed up the adjacent steps. The train station despite being abandoned was the cleanest I had ever seen. It was made of this grey polished concrete that coincided quite nicely with the grass standing next to it.

Suddenly the car had left with the fourth passenger still unknown. I continued the walk down the station. Footsteps joined and soon I was enamoured by what I knew to be the fourth passenger. He was tall, that was the first thing I noticed. He didn't loom over me in any attempt of dominance, nor was he condescending trying to bend down to my height and make me extremely aware of my own height.  He stood straight only looking down to make eye contact.

His hair was what caught me next. It was filled with brilliant shades of a warm gold, leaning towards some shade of blonde. It was full of loose curls despite its shortness. The sides of his head formed a gradient to the base of his head -
Growing shorter and shorter, till it was seemingly nonexistent. It looked so soft as he ran a hand through it and by god was it attractive. This paired with his hazel eyes filled me with a strange warmth.

"I'm sorry for those guys" he had said, his tone soft and sincere. I just smiled and replied with a that's okay and we continued walking. I for once felt so safe and comfortable in a strangers presence, that a smile had spread widely across my face."I should probably introduce myself. My names Logan"

He continued to walk with me down the train station. His aura surrounded me like a warm blanket and all I could feel was this calmness that came from his hand slowly intertwining with mine. Then we danced.

We danced the waltz, any move he made I had followed - trusting him with my heart in his hands. Even when I was leaning off the platform it felt like I was in a warm embrace.

But it had to end somehow. He pulled me back up and we fell into an embrace.

"When will I see you again?" I had whispered.
"I don't know."

Suddenly a train horn sounded through the now busy station and the man of my dreams left with a smile and a wave.
