Hello, there, and happy spooky season!

Thank you for being here and showing interest in this amalgamation of genres I'm trying out.

Some of you know I have two other projects going on right now, and you might be wondering why the hell I'm taking on yet another one.

Three reasons:

1. It's October and I can't not contribute my spooks

2. The other two projects (especially The Threads of Destiny) are more serious than this. They take a lot out of me, and I sometimes get stuck at certain plot points or hit the old writer's block. For this one, I just wanted to let go and see where things take me when I'm lacking inspiration. I love vampires and am a big history and horror buff, so combining it all with a rom-com makes a perfect concoction to help with the flow of my creative juices.

3. I sometimes make bad decisions in life; leave me alone. 

So, that being said, let's lay out some expectations:

Per the last section, this is an enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy. A sapphic one, to be exact. So there's a lot of lady vampire love content here.

Unlike my past books, this is all written in a single POV. This might change later, and if it does then this point shall be removed.

Although it's a comedy, there are a lot of dark and horror elements to it. Think What We Do In The Shadows but with more romance, gore, and supernatural elements. Don't expect anything like Fleabag or Bojack Horseman. Although I love these types of dark comedies, this is a laid-back, fun-to-write story. And it so happens that what's fun for me to write is comedic paranormal vampire horror. 

Two other things I love are history and mythology, and you'll be in for a lot of them here. The characters will encounter many real-life historical and mythological figures and discuss real-life historical and mythological events, but I'll be taking creative liberty when I feel like I need to. You can think of this universe as an alternate Earth where things are slightly different and some mythological beings are real. Again, I'm not trying to write a serious book or profound historical commentary here; I aim to just sit back and let my brain do its thing.

In case it wasn't clear in the blurb, this book is inspired by and borrows from Dante's Divine Comedy. Furthermore, one aspect of the vampire lore is similar to The Vampire Diaries but, although the show gave me the idea, it's not exactly borrowed from it. Rather, I based it on what they have based it on, and I took my own creative liberties with it. So, if you spot it, know that it does not work the same way here, as you will eventually see.
