10-The Eventful Morning

Thanks for the 1.1k reads! It's almost 2023 and I'm super excited to get this book written out. I'm happy so many people are enjoying the content so far and I can't wait to share what I have in store for you guys! As always I hope you like this chapter and have a good day!

///////////////////////////

I was too excited to sleep. He was awake earlier and mostly okay, a little rattled and overall confused but for the most part, he seemed okay. He was extremely worn from recent events and needed a good while to decompress from it all, but other than that I believed he'd be okay.

I couldn't help but watch him sleep all night long. Even with the lights off, I could see him perfectly. His little nose twitches, the changing colors in his skin, and the small squinted expressions he made as he dreamt kept me looking for more. He was so pretty, now that I was able to fully see him. His skin was super clean and soft, his hair was also soft, a pretty blonde that appeared almost lighter since he's aged a little.

"Hhmm." Naruto hummed softly and scooted closer to me, snuggling his head in the juncture between my head and collarbone, just under the chin.

He was so warm to the touch, a firey feeling I couldn't get enough of. I hope Sasuke doesn't get jealous if he cares for this boy because Naruto is mine. They can be friends, but I'm very overprotective of my close ones. I won't let anything add to the sheer amount of pain in his heart.

No more stress, no more unnecessary fighting, no more forcing dreams and other people's responsibilities onto him. He deserves a healthy eventless day. He deserves at least one day to himself to just unwind. I can keep an eye on his friends and determine if we need to step in for the war or not. My crows can watch over everything, having sent them out to every main village to keep an eye on this 'Allied Shinobi Force' that's brewing.

Hopefully, that fact alone can sate his worries over his friends. Hn, friends... he doesn't have many honest ones that's for sure. The majority of them gave a general aroma of distaste around him. Many dislike him strongly and only tolerate him over a sense of gratefulness due to the entire Pain fiasco. Kakashi was a true friend and ally, Yamato tolerated him, Sakura barely tolerates him, Sasuke's conflicted, and Shikamaru is a true friend. That Gaara was as well.

"You deserve so much more than you have now. Your parents didn't give you the best of luck.." I whispered to him quietly, running my hand through his hair.

I heard a set of footsteps drawing closer and closer to the room. I turned my head slightly, minding Naruto's, and waited for Sasuke to reach the door. He gave the door a soft set of knocks once he came up to it, making me sigh gently.

I was careful to remove myself from Naruto's warm hold on me. He stirred only a little before settling down. My eyes traveled to the nightstand beside the bed to see it was early in the morning. I stretched and popped my back and limbs before making my way soundlessly to the door. I stared at the knob for a solid minute before twisting it to pull open the door. Sasuke's face greeted mine with a stare.

"Where did Naruto sleep? He wasn't in his room." Sasuke asked me in a normal tone of voice, making me internally annoyed.

"He's in here resting with me." I softly spoke, holding a finger up to my lips as I smiled. "So quiet down a bit. He's exhausted."

"Oh." Sasuke blinked a few times with a weird look directed at me before tilting his head to the side. "Why is he in there?"

"He didn't want to be alone," I responded almost immediately. "What do you need Sasuke?"

"I was going to ask if you were free to talk."

I narrowed my eyes and looked back over to the sleeping blonde, who immediately looked less comfortable and more upset as he slept. I bit my lower lip in thought, minding the fangs. I then shook my head and exited the room.

"What do you wish to talk about?" I questioned him as we began walking away from the room to avoid waking Naruto with our conversation.

"The Akatsuki." Sasuke firmly stated. "Why did you join them?"

"That's an easy enough question. I joined them because I knew they were dangerous and plotting against the wishes of our home. I kept them close to know about their efforts of the Tailed beasts and to personally go to the leaf instead of someone else to make sure they didn't destroy the place. It didn't take them long to do so after I died, however." I rubbed the back of my neck, frowning heavily. "It's upsetting to know that our home is decimated. Speaking of the Akatsuki, why did you join them?"

Sasuke gave a firm nod to my response before continuing. "It's as simple as revenge. I wanted to use them to get close to Danzo and the Hidden Leaf to avenge what they did to us. But Pain destroyed the first half of my plans and we handled the other. Now you're here too, so, I guess that what I wanted is done and over with."

I frowned and stopped our walk. I held him steady at arm's length, squeezing his shoulders tightly to make sure I had his attention.

"Sasuke, what the leaf is now, isn't what it was. Tsunade woke up yesterday as I told you that morning. She will right things when the time comes I'm sure. It wasn't entirely their fault for what happened to us, our family was brewing another war and Danzo was a huge part of that. It's over with. Once Naruto heals up, I still want to go about my plan." I urged.

A point I brought up the first morning after Danzo's defeat. It was simple; Naruto heals up and we use him and his trust in Tsunade to get us back into the leaf, albeit locked up at first, and atone for our crimes as honest men.

Sasuke of course wasn't with that idea and it appears my ignorant brother still isn't entirely with me on that decision.

"Itachi, they betrayed us. They did nothing for us, and they've done nothing for Naruto. I don't see the point in returning there. We'll only be treated worse!" Sasuke hissed I'm retaliation. "I gave you that answer two days ago!"

"Sasuke it's about atonement. It's about doing what's right even if we don't agree with it." I squeezed his shoulders, only for him to shove me off of him.

"And the last time someone said that to you, you had to kill our entire clan!" Sasuke shouted, digging a finger into my chest.

"I was under orders and I didn't want to see my home I swore to protect, get destroyed from the inside out!" I bared my fangs at Sasuke, making him tense as I grabbed his shirt and pulled it so hard that I ended up just shredding it and yanking him off balance. "Sasuke I'm sure they'll see mercy if we explain the entirety of the situation! She trusts Naruto's judgment! It's the most logical answer! Fuck! I'd even be chained in a prison for years to make up for my choices! But they know that I haven't killed anyone from the leaf since that night! The most I've done was give Hatake a three-day trip to hell! You were a victim of circumstance! She grew up in a time of war as I did! She'd. See. REASON!" I snarled and threw the cloth I had in my hand across the hallway.

"She has no reason to trust him with us around! You are putting WAY too much faith in someone you barely know!" Sasuke shouted back. "YOU DONT know she will!"

"We have Danzo's body! We can present it to her! She'd have the evidence she needed!" I seethed, feeling a weird rush as the shadows around us bent toward me.

"WE WOULD BE KILLED JUST FOR SHOWING UP, IDIOT!" Sasuke screamed at me, making me momentarily see red with disappointment and irritation.

"Are you guys okay?" A soft voice spoke from down the hallway, making me flinch and Sasuke wince and slowly look down and away from me, trying to fight off his anger.

My heart twisted as I looked up from Sasuke, over his head to see Naruto tiredly staring at us from a little way down the hall. His fave was riddled with worry and confusion. I slowly calmed down and Gabe a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose as my annoyance was too high to be dealing with much else.

"Great. We woke him." I bitterly muttered. "I'm sorry about the shirt. I didn't mean to rip it... I forgot my strength." I gave Sasuke a genuine apology. "We can talk about the gravity of this situation later. I'll get breakfast started soon...coffee?"

"Sure..." Sasuke huffed before moving down the hallway with a pissed expression.

"Uhg... teenagers." I held my hands up in defeat before walking forwards to greet Naruto as he began to walk towards us as well. "Good morning Naruto, I didn't mean for us to wake you up, I'm sorry." I frowned sadly, closing my eyes in shame.

"Don't be sorry, it's alright. I heard the conversation so I understand the worry of both sides." Naruto answered, patting my face as I opened my eyes to see him smiling sheepishly at me. "You are intimidating sometimes though."

"I know. I'm a stud." I smirked confidently at him before blinking in realization. "Whoa, your color's back."

"I feel loads better." Naruto nodded and gave a smile to himself, his hand, unknowing to him, reaching up and grabbing the bite scar I gave him.

His smile seemed real enough, but he still had a ton of stress on his mind, I could tell by the bags under his eyes and the sort of vibe I'm picking up. I can tell he's trying to compartmentalize but he's failing miserably. I gave him a knowing smile and pulled him into a hug, just glad he was physically doing better.

"I'm glad you feel better." I nodded and kissed the top of his head, feeling him shiver under me in reaction.

Cute.

"Well, I heard you were going to make some breakfast. I've never tried coffee, is it good?" Naruto asked me mid-yawn.

"Yes, extremely. It helps people wake up better as well due to the caffeine. Come, I'll show you how to make it." I let him go and beckoned him to follow as I began to make my way down the hall.

"Okay, but first do you know where the bathroom is?" Naruto stopped me by asking.

I looked to our bedroom door down the hallway and counted the doors leading away and towards us. I got to the second one past me just before the hall ended and pointed to it.

"It's that one I believe. I'll see you in the kitchen when you're done." I smiled at him before making my way down and out of sight to give him some privacy.

I smiled to myself as I walked towards the kitchen, humming in delight. I tried to keep my stress out of my mind, but that conversation with Sasuke had my mind reeling again.

They both know I was brought back as a monster. Sasuke knows the truth, however. Kabuto had an experiment that Madara used on me... and only Madara knows out of the rest of the Akatsuki that it was a success. Both don't know it was to bring Naruto to them. I want to protect them from the Akatsuki, especially from Madara, but this war may compromise my wishes and put them in danger.

On top of that, we need to get going soon. I don't feel safe here, and the place Sasuke chose was very a predictable choice to him. It wasn't smart thinking to lay low at a hideout and it's only a matter of time before Madara realizes I'm taking too long and finds us here. It may already be the case considering we both killed Danzo, someone Madara was after for his arm. I want so badly to destroy and burn the body but we need to keep it as evidence to prove us not guilty. I'll probably be the easier one to forgive... I'm worried about his end of things, but I'm sure Naruto can turn it for the better.

"Our situation sucks," I muttered and rubbed my face as I entered the kitchen to start getting everything ready.

I began to make the coffee, grinding beans and putting them into a filter, while also putting water on the stove to get it to a boil. I then left that alone to start making breakfast, some eggs on toast would be fine. I got the toaster out and plugged it into the wall, and got out a pan along with some eggs. I put the toast in the toaster and cracked open an egg into the pan and waited for everything to start cooking.

Blood sounds pretty good right now. Maybe I can drink some from him after he wakes up fully.

I shook my head and tried to focus on what I was doing, but my mind kept wandering back to blood. His blood specifically tasted like nothing I'd tasted before. It was so rich with flavors I couldn't describe even if I wanted to. I could feel my face heat up at the mere memory of it, entering my mouth and saying that dryness I was suffering under for well over a week.

I never want to feel like I'm going crazy ever again.

"Is something burning?" I heard Naruto speak up, snapping me from my thoughts to be greeted with the smell of burning bread.

"Ah, shit!" I gasped in shock and quickly ejected the burnt-up toast from the toaster.

They were crispy, black, and sad when I saw them, and grumbled in slight irritation over the fact I couldn't do something as simple as cook food without daydreaming about the idea of blood. Everything I thought about had a sneaking whisper of hunger laced in it. It was still new to me and trying to ignore it was too much of a chore to do successfully.

"I'll get the toast," Naruto spoke up and moved over to the counter, getting new bread slices ready to toast. "You focus on the eggs before you burn them." He smirked at me.

I huffed towards him and rolled my eyes at the eggs, but I couldn't contain the weak grin his words gave me. I did as I was told and focused solely on cooking the eggs. Together we got breakfast done at a decent time and were able to serve everyone accordingly. Sasuke had entered the kitchen to watch about five minutes before completing the breakfast, sipping on a coffee-filled mug while he did so.

I couldn't help the guilt I still felt about shredding his shirt. I frowned as I cooked the last egg, reminiscing over the memories of this morning. The way the room seemed to darken around us and the rush of chakra I felt, extending outside of my body and around the hallway like my presence left my body and loomed everywhere.

It was honestly a little terrifying how different my body and chakra reacted to my emotions.

Too scary...

"Here you go Sasuke! Eggs in toast!" Naruto grinned widely as he presented the plate to my brother.

He rolled his eyes and took the plate. "You seriously don't have to act like that over a simple breakfast, dweeb."

"Oi, the name calling, it's too early for it," I muttered as I grabbed my plate, which was only an egg since I didn't enjoy solid food anymore, but still ate some out of habit.

"Fine." Sasuke shrugged and made his way out of the kitchen.

"Teenagers." I threw a hand up in defeat. "Hopeless creatures you lot."

"You were a teenager once, too." Naruto deadpanned my way.

"Nah, I grew up faster than you may realize my little blonde." I shrugged a shoulder. "Didn't have time to be a brooding bitch with a war raging about."

"Hey! I don't brood!" Naruto's cheeks flushed heavily.

"You are always brooding, Naruto." I gave him a knowing look before walking towards a nearby table next to the kitchen area.

"Pff." Naruto huffed bitterly in disagreement, but his face turned cherry red, signaling I was correct.

We all sat down and ate breakfast together in content silence. I nibbled on my egg which tasted nothing like what it was. It was a weirdly foul taste I wasn't fond of, but tolerated for the sake of habit, it kept my mind on something other than Naruto's sweet smell emanating beside me.

He seemed to be hungrily eating his breakfast, which was double the amount Sasuke was nearly done with, he seemed slightly disgusted at the fact Narutocould eat enough for three people. He did have quite the appetite.

"You're hungry." I mused.

"Mhm." Naruto nodded, swallowing his mouth full of food before answering. "Very hungry, I felt like my stomach was eating me.'

"Hnhnhn." I grinned happily, as my chest fluttered about at the sense of his happiness reaching around him like a comfortable blanket.

Once everything was clean, Sasuke openly asked to do the dishes and took them from us. He walked off and out of sight and left both me and Naruto to ourselves. He resorted to fiddling with his digits and I couldn't help but watch this cute display. I was about to speak up, but he cleared his throat and went to speak instead.

"How's the thirst?" Naruto asked me, hesitantly peeking a glance at my mouth before back down to his fingers.

I hummed and rubbed my throat, the dryness beginning to itch badly at the back of my mouth and down my throat. I looked over at his neck, hearing his heartbeat and the rush of blood through his veins, making me shiver with temptation.

"It's growing," I admitted aloud.

"W-Well, when you were losing it, you were acting strange, and sick, and it was worrying me a lot. So, if you want you can have some so you don't get weak and go all crazy again. You may feel better afterward."

I blushed at the offer, and when he made direct eye contact with him. His face was filled with determination and his eyes held an anticipation I couldn't quite place. I shivered again and looked up from him to try and clear my head of the want to lunge at him right then and there.

"Let's go back to my room, we can do it there, privacy from Sasuke walking in on us. Does that sound okay?" I offered.

"Sounds very okay." Naruto looked at me with a nervous smile and stood, leading the way back to my bedroom.

I followed behind him, my eyes unable to pull themselves off of the bite scar I gifted him. It was so enticing. It was just there, plain as day on his neck, begging to be reopened by my fangs to the point I felt them starting to burn with anticipation and excitement. This alone was causing my face to heat up more and my head to grow fuzzier.

The darker the hallway got the clearer my vision became, and tunneled on the blonde in front of me. He tensed when my mood shifted, but didn't say anything or point it out. Once in the room, his heart rate skyrocketed, and his breathing became quick. He was nearly shaking, which worried me a little.

"We don't have to if it's scaring you." I then said, gently putting a hand on his shoulder.

"N-No I want to!" He quickly said. "It's j-just nerve-wracking. The last time you did this it was a bit... terrifying." Naruto admitted.

"Well I was driven mad with hunger, it's not the same as before.", I reassured. "I'll be as gentle as I physically can, unlike before. I want you to be as comfortable as possible."

"R-Right." Naruto quickly nodded, looking at the bed before moving over to it and sitting down. "S-So, do I like... lay down? Or stand up?" He asked and stood again.

"Hnhnhn, here hold on." I smiled softly and moved onto the bed, sitting upright with my back against the headboard. I then spread my legs a little and backed him forwards. "Sit in front of me. That way you can lean and I can hold you properly. It seemed like the most comfortable option."

"A-Alright." his face grew a shade redder, as he crawled across the bed, before sitting down in front of me.

Before he got comfortable, he pulled his shirt clean over his head before setting it down next to him. I stared hungrily at his back his smell hitting me hard. His soft peach skin greeted me kindly, his warmth pulling me closer. Before I knew it, my arms were moving around his chest, softly holding him close, his body twitching as my icy skin touched his scalding hot flesh. My lips were touching his neck, softly planting kiss after kiss. Each movement doing its best to get him to relax, each touch telling him I'm not going to hurt him as I did a couple of nights ago.

I was going to be gentle. I was gentle.

My legs came together, laying next to his, my arms gently caressing his, holding him in place as I repeatedly kissed around and on the scar I gave as both an apology and a promise. I didn't want to bring him any pain, but I knew this could hurt, as did he.

His body slowly relaxed into mine, a blanket of warmth telling me it was okay. I shuddered, and finally parted my lips, letting my fangs gently drag across the skin that twitched upon contact. His breathing hitched, pulse quickened, but his body didn't tense at all. He was relaxing and trusting me, putting faith in me that I wasn't going to rip into his neck as I did in the past.

"Nn." Naruto shivered as I slid a hand up his middle, to his collarbone.

I pressed weakly on that spot and my other hand tightened its grip on his upper arm. His own hands came up to greet mine, holding onto both my wrists in preparation, breathing deeply as I dragged, and kept my fangs over the exact spot I bit him in, right over that artery. My eyes stayed glued to his beautifully smooth skin, drinking in every detail before sliding closed with a slow but deep inhale.

I held my breath and tightened my grip again shivering as I then slowly sunk, putting pressure on his neck until a pop vibrated through my teeth. Naruto gasped and flinched in pain, but I knew better than to stop. I was right over an artery and couldn't back out now. I gently rubbed his upper arm and collarbone with my thumbs as I sunk up to my gums.

"Huh." Naruto panted out, shaking gripping my wrists with a very tight hold.

His blood rushed into my mouth, and the taste once again left me entranced and begging for more. I swallowed slowly, sucking on the wound gently to prevent further pain. I couldn't help myself as I moaned softly against his skin, the taste being so wonderful I could only compare it to something godly.

"Mmmm." I moaned quietly, my eyes fluttering open to look down at his body, his hands shakily holding my wrists, skin blushing and turning red as I tried to soothe him.

"I-Itachi~." His voice spoke in a husky tone. "What...is this weird feeling?" Naruto asked me.

I didn't know what he meant until I realized my brain was subconsciously trying to will his body into a state other than pain. One of pleasure instead, trying its best to keep him from feeling harm. I realized this but did nothing to stop it. I wanted him to feel good, anything but pain.

His body leaned into mine, and his temperature rose more and more as he panted. His legs slowly moved, kicking. His hands tightened around my wrists, making me blush more as he squirmed everything but his middle section.

"Hn." I smiled, humming against his skin as I slowly drank.

I felt fuller and fuller the more I gulped, sucking softly on the wound my fangs were buried in, loving the sounds he was making and the reaction he was getting. A very intimate action took place between us that was previously an unpleasant experience. The sadness was gone from his heart and momentarily replaced with enjoyment and lust.

"Gnn." Naruto groaned and his hands let go of my wrists, one moved to my head, grabbing a fistful of my hair as waves of pleasure crashed into him.

I grunted with surprise as he pulled slightly, making my body shiver. His other hand grabbed onto my thigh, making my body twitch and feel oddly colder as it worked me up a little. The aroma of sensual desire blinding my head as my drinking slowly came to a halt. The moment I stopped and pulled my fangs out, the wound quickly healed over, a hickey over the scar that hasn't changed in the slightest after it finished healing.

"Hn, your sounds are amazing." I purred into his ear, making him shudder as I let my hands roam his chest, feeling every muscle with no holding back.

I ran my hand down his abs, not daring to go lower unless he makes it clear I'm allowed to. He shuddered and pushed back against me, his eyes glazed over in lust as they looked deeply into mine, face entirely flushed.

"Hnhnhn, what's up?" I softly asked, licking my bloody fangs.

"I wanna be yours," Naruto whispered out to me, hands sliding up to my face and yanking it down, my lips pressing against his head. "Only yours."

"Mn." I hummed against his head in approval, kissing it softly as my hands shook with a need to explore further.

"He's only feeling this way because you made him, Itachi..." an inner voice of mine whispered, disrupting every thought I could have had right then.

I pulled my head off of his and let my messaging come to a slow end, letting my hands come together and holding him close in a hug.

"You're body's worked up as a side effect of me trying my best not to harm you. It's an influence I have over people now. It doesn't feel honest to do what you want me to." I pointed out with an apologetic glare.

"Please~?" Naruto moaned out, scooting up against my hips, grinding against me.

His eyes...far from lucid.

This doesn't feel right to me.

"Nngh. Naruto easy on me there. I want to take it slow, as tempting as you are. For now, just try to calm down." I gently grabbed his hips to slow him down, trying to fight against the urge to ravish him.

"Mnn." He frowned heavily and looked down, a pang of sadness striking him. "Am I not good enough...? Do I... need to do more to earn it...?" He mumbled, his body slowly going limp in defeat.

"You are more than good enough. I'm struggling to keep myself from pounding you into the sheets, heh, you never have to earn me Naruto. I'm already yours. I'm just, not ready for it just yet. I made you feel this way by unnatural means, I want to go about intimacy the right way is all." I answered, brushing hair from his face and tilting his head up so I could look at him.

He seemed to have a shred of lucidity back. Only a sliver, but he seemed to be showing me a look of thanks. I hummed and kissed his forehead.

"Thank you, for letting me drink."

He smiled faintly and slowly moved until he faced me. He cupped my face and leaned his forehead against mine. I watched him curiously, as he moved us into this position.

"You don't need to thank me, Itachi, I'll always be here for you." Naruto whispered to me.

"Hn, what did I do to deserve to be holding you like this?" I spoke softly to him, warmth blooming in my chest.

"Promising to bring him to me." A deep voice cut through the room in such a jarring way, that both Naruto and I froze with the same wide-eyed expression.

I yanked Naruto behind me a little harder than I meant to, hearing him grunt out in pain as he hit the headboard hard. I didn't dare give a single fuck though, as I shoved myself over him, digging claws into the wood to bar him from the figure standing in the dark corner of the farthest wall.

"Madara." I hissed angrily.

"It seems you grew a little sidetracked, Itachi." His eyes squinted at me with amusement. "Having fun~?"

"How did you-" I began, but he spoke over me.

"Find you? Come now, Sasuke's a strong fighter but he's inexperienced when it comes to laying low. I'm surprised you allowed it." Madara tilted his masked head to the side, his eye moving to Naruto. "Especially with two subjects of interest."

My heart skipped, but I knew better than to show fear to this man. Besides, I know what he meant by two, and I'm delighted to share my smart thinking.

"Shisui's eye is destroyed." I blurted out. "Danzo's corpse is useless to you."

"So it seems. But you currently have your assignment behind you. Why not hand him over and make things easy?" Madara calmly asked, holding out a hand.

"He won't be going with you." I sternly hissed.

It was then, that Sasuke burst into the room with his blade in hand, eyes activated. I sat up straighter, activating my own eyes and glaring him down.

"You think you can protect him forever?" Madara asked with nothing but amusement.

Like he was enjoying this... like he was purposely fucking with us.

"Beat it, scum. You are outnumbered and extremely outclassed in terms of power. You can avoid physical attacks but you need to regain your ability to touch to capture the jinchuriki. I'm extremely fast, but Itachi's strength is on the level of Tsunade's, and his speed is faster than the Rikage's. You can't get close, and if you try I'll cut you down." Sasuke snarled.

My eyes narrowed on him, feeling Naruto shaking behind me. Our eyes locked for a long moment before he held his hands up in defeat.

"I look forward to seeing you soon, Naruto Uzumaki." Madara hummed as his form spun out of existence.

Sasuke and I looked around for his chakra signature and found no traces. The moment we confirmed this, I shot out of the bed, yanking Naruto along with me. I tossed a scroll at my brother, one I pulled from the nightstand.

"Seal his body in that. Now. We are going to the Leaf. I can get us a large head start but I'll be tired." I spoke sternly. "There is better than here.",

"Right." Sasuke nodded before vanishing out of the room.

"How did he find us that fast!?" Naruto spoke loudly as I pulled him along.

"He's very good at it." I quickly responded as I rushed us into a storage area, getting a scroll filled with weapons and supplies. "Grab anything you need."

"R-Right." Naruto shivered before going about packing and preparing.

He seemed hesitant about grabbing things at first but eventually worked himself up to be able to. He seemed deeply disturbed, not that I blamed him though. We did just get an unexpected visit from a very dangerous man with abilities we can't match. By the time I finished up my packing, Naruto was just about finished with his, and Sasuke came in to follow suit.

"Got everything?" Sasuke asked as he rushed.

"Yes, the moment your done we're gone." I sternly spoke.

As he did his things, I pulled a mask out that covers a face as Kakashi's mask did. I also threw on my thick gloves and draped myself in a cloak. I grabbed a straw hat off of the table nearby filled with them and dawned that as well.

"Okay." Sasuke spoke up, looking at me with readiness.

I quickly grabbed his and Naruto's shoulders, closing my eyes to focus on where I wanted us to go. In an instant we were there, a vast amount of my energy leaving my body to get us there. I shivered and shook my head, eyes squinting as blinding daylight hit them. I grunted and covered my eyes despite the hat providing them shade, finding the sunlight far too much for my eyes.

"Are you okay!?" Naruto's worried voice asked me, his hands grabbing my arm.

"F-Fine, it's just a little brighter than I thought," I admitted.

"Okay, I'll help you get around. Just keep them closed so you don't hurt yourself." He urged and pulled me along, Sasuke taking the lead as we began to power walk instead of run for my sake.

Finally making our way home.
