Third POV
"Which green house?" Dushassan asks, there were 2 green house, together.
"Lets' try the first one," Sehdev suggests "There is a man there."
"Are, you Raj Singh, sir?" Bheema asks.
"No, but what do you want from him?" The man asked, truth to be told, he looked far better dressed for a cook.
"We were looking for a job." Bheema says.
"He is doing something. Why don't you wait in the Aangan?" The prince agreed and were surprised to find the young man sitting in there, along with a lady.
Sitting in the far end of the room were two people, a lady and one man. Surrounded by papers. The young lady raised her head, to look at them and the princes inhaled sharply.
Sitting there was Princess Ananya and no doubt beside her was Karn.
The princes were still unsure of how to address him.
"Awasthi ji?" she questions.
"Ji, two of them are here to talk to Raj- Singh, want to get a job." The man- now identified as Awasthi ji- said.
Ananya's gaze snapped to them, her eyes narrowing in dis- trust. Before she snorts. "Who of all of them are going to cook?"
She asks, rising from her place and speed walking to them. She stands in front of them, her hands folded on her chest and her eyes scanning the eight boys. The boys felt uneasy under her gaze.
"Are they mute?" Ananya asked, her raised eyebrow. And her first turned in the smirk, the one that said that she knew who they were, really.
"No, we uh- talk." Duryodhana said.
"How great." Ananya says sarcastically. "No one else does that."
"Stop irritating them, Anna." Karn slung his hand around Ananya and froze on seeing the people in front of him.
"Me?" Ananya makes an innocent face. "I never irritate anyone."
"Why do I spend time with you?" Karn asks, looking at the girl in his arms.
"You love me." Ananya smirked at him.
"Sadly, you are correct." Karn pouts.
Ananya playfully hits him in his side. "What an idiot!"
"Come on, we need to return to the palace, Papa said he wanted to meet you." Karn said, smiling at Ananya.
"Sure," Ananya smiled back. "We will be back, when we find time, Awasthi ji."
Saying so, the two were out of the house. Leaving behind eight bewildered youngsters. The said boys, were confused.
Did Karn love Ananya?
Was there something else?
Were they about to get married?
What were they doing here?
"You guys, sit here." The Man- Awasthi- motioned at the ground in a corner while he himself sat at a short stool, and started to write something on scrolls.
The boys made face but followed the order, they were not princes, when undercover. They sat themselves in a circle, at the place motioned.
"What was that?" Nakul whisper asked. The others simply shrugged in response. They had no clue.
"How do we even address him?" Bheema asks.
"I have no bloody idea." Duryodhana grumbled. He was irritated and tired.
"Don't curse." Yudhishthira scolded. Duryodhana just hung his head.
"What do you think they were doing here?" Arjun asked, slowly.
"Did they come here to meet him?" Ashwatthama asked, nobody in particular.
"I wonder she meant by 'you love me'?" Dushassan asks, to no one specific.
"I think, that is just a way of saying." Sehdev pounders.
"Maybe." Nakul agrees.
"It was all strange, don't you think, Jyeshta?" Bheema asks.
"I don't know." Yudhishthira admits. "There is something very odd. The way they portray themselves was weird too. Plus, I am dam sure they identified who we were but kept their mouth shut. Why?"
"She did mock us." Duryodhana face morphed in slight anger as he snide.
"Didn't he say, she loves to rile people up, maybe she did it knowingly." Arjun shrugged.
"That has a point." Dushassan agreed, while Duryodhana simply pouted.
"You are such a kid." Bheema chuckled as he pulled Duryodhana's cheek.
A second later all of them froze and Bheema pulled away, all of them awkwardly looking around.
"You all want jobs?" Awasthi ji, says after some time, he had just finished with his work. It breaks the awkward silence that the boys had brought over themselves.
"Yes." They chorused together.
"Do you all want to live in Hastinapur, only?" Awasthi ji questions.
"Yes." Duryodhana and Yudhishthira say, together.
"Hmm, well what can you do?"
"We are-"
"Ayurveda learners." Nakul and Sehdev says.
"I and him can work in handling accounts and all." Ashwatthama says pointing at Yudhishthira, knowing he would never know what to say.
"Me and Dhushtar can help in things around." Arjun shrugs.
"Great, well." Awasthi ji smiled. "Maybe I can help you two." He pointed at Nakul and Sehdev. "Though, I still need to confirm."
"You two, stay around with me." He pointed at Arjun and Dushassan.
"As far as you two are considered, I will again have to ask the Town manager."
"Thank you." All of them folded their hand in respect.
"My pleasure." Awasthi ji smiled. "What are your names?"
"Dharmayu"
"Suyo"
"Balraj."
"Animesh"
"Abhiraam"
"Amiran."
"Dhushtar"
"Ashvanth"
"Nice to know." He smiled warmly. "You must have realized I am Awasthi."
They return the smile. He looked a nice man, and he did have this warm aura around him, it was cool to be around him.
"Thank you for helping us." Yudhishthira thanked the older man.
"One human has to help the other, if he won't then who will?" Awasthi Ji waved the thank you off.
"Do you have a place to stay?"
"Er- no." Duryodhana spoke this time.
"No worries, stay in the house beside. It's big enough, for you." Awasthi ji says.
"Doesn't anyone stay there, Awasthi ji?" Ashwatthama asks politely.
"Oh! I do." He answered.
"Then how we can impose?" Yudhishthira asked. He folded his hands. "Don't worry about sir, we will find another place."
"No, you will stay there. I am also alone." Awasthi ji proposed. "I can stay in this house. There is enough place"
"And don't worry the house owner won't mind." He assures the boys. "You can stay there without any worries. Just that you will have to cook your own food."
"Thank you, sir." They folded their hands as Ashwatthama said. "You have helped us a lot. We hope to re- pay you the debt."
"No need, just stay on the said side of house and never in any circumstance go one the top floors." Awasthi ji guided.
"Why?" Arjun asked intrigued.
"The house owner forbids." Awasthi ji responded. They nodded in agreement.
"Awasthi JI!" A sound came from outside the house. "Council!"
"Ah they must be here." Awasthi Ji said as he walked towards the entrance.
"Who, Awasthi Ji?" Duryodhana asks.
"Insaaf Ke Rakshak."
*****
As soon as Karn and Ananya stepped out of the house, the dissolved in to fit of laughter. The way the eight- prince reacted, was very funny.
They all had shock, disbelief and various other emotion inflicting on their face, when they saw these two friends act like that.
And these two friends found it as hilarious as hell.
