Bishma POV.
He was puzzled. The man that had returned, was someone else, not the boy he had sent. Of course, he never expected him to be same, but there was just something that Bishma wasn't sure of.
Right now, as I was pacing in his room, I was trying to sort my thoughts out, after tonight. The two, Karn and Ananya, had not returned after Ananya had dragged him God knows where.
I did not mind them going, looking at how the two reacted, cleared they were very close. Though it came as a surprise to the me, I did not mind it at all.
I just wanted to spend some time with my Putra.
"You know, Papa, you will make a hole in the floor if you pace more." A smooth voice said. One that I would recognize anywhere. My sons voice, my Karn's voice. It wasn't the copied one, like I had heard down stairs.
In a whip lash, movement I turned to face my son, who was standing leaning against one of the pillar, his posture showing that he had been there for a while. But how? I did not even realize it.
"Karn? When did you come?"
Karn did not reply, instead, he walked to me and pulled me in a hug. "I missed you." He whispers. And I pull him closer to me, hug him tighter.
"Me too, son. Me too." I relaxed in the hug, I felt after so long. The one that I had been yearning for, since a long time.
"Say, how was your student life?" I ask, once we pull away.
"Come here." Karn drags me to my bed and makes him lie down. "I am not going anywhere." He assures me, squeezing my hands. As he places himself, near his foot. Simultaneously, taking his leg in his lap and he starts to massage.
"My student life was wonderful." Karn began. "You know I met Ananya, after leaving from here, it had just been two months. She is half a year older than me. I didn't trust her, slowly steadily as we lived on each other's company only, we learnt to trust one another."
"Gurudeva had sent both of separately and directed to me to find a capable girl, while her a capable boy. We weren't even aware that we had been actually looking for each other." Karn laughed as he remembered his child hood days. "One day, I got angry, it had been six months since me and Ananya living with each other, helping one another. She had a similar gloomy mood. And both of us together had blurted about Guru Parshuram's order."
"Then?" I ask, worried for my son. I was surprised that my Gurudeva gave such an order to the two kids, who were merely six- year- old.
-- Flashback –
THIRD POV
A girl was seated at the banks of a lake that had trees all around. Obviously, it had, the lake was practically in between of the forest at the foot of the mountain where Parshuram lived.
The girl looked not more than that of eight years. She had long hair and gorgeous face, and fit body.
The girl was throwing stones in the lake, when another boy joins her. He was a cute boy, who looked to be like 6- 7- year- old. They didn't say anything, the only sound of that from other than of forest was one that came from girl throwing the stone in water.
The girl silently raises her hand with two stones and brings it in front of the boy, he glances at the girl, picking the stones up and follows her throwing them in the water, just like her.
Some time had passed, in the same silence, stones being thrown in the water by both of the kids. It was awfully calming.
"Guru Parshuram, instructed me to find a boy of seven years."
"Guru Parshuram, instructed me to find a girl of seven and half years."
Both of them at the same time and turned to look at one another in shock. They had said the same thing. They didn't even need to voice their thoughts to know that both of them were thinking the same thing.
Jumping up, they instantly raced up Guru Parshuram's mountain.
The Guru sitting on the top of mountain, amused, as he waited for his two students, who he learnt would change the future of Aryavarta.
"Why?" Both of them groaned out, at the Guru sitting there.
"You both are going to work together you needed to trust one another." Guru said simply. "I see you have trusted each other till a limit. You do, as much as you won't agree. Let me tell you both something, I will start to train you both from tomorrow. The best would be if you both start with at least sharing your true identities with one another."
"I want you both to trust each other so much that one day, you fight back- to- back with one weapon." Guru Parshuram continued. "Also, I know you both have had hard past, the best thing would be that you share with each other about it, that will help with your training."
-- Flashback --
"We were such idiots; we took the whole day actually to share our truths." Karn reminisced, "we argued for 8 hours, before really informing one another about our identities."
I simply looked at my son, he was still the same boy. Before when I had seen Karn talk, I felt that he was foreign guy but now he saw the six- year- old boy. The same person who I had sent away, all those nineteen years ago.
"So do you trust her to fight back- to- back with one weapon?" I heard himself question, him. Were these two such nice fighters?
"Did you see us fighting? What do you think?" Karn asks, his eagerness visible.
"Of course, I did. You guys were wonderful." I said in an instant, no doubts in it.
"And, yes papa. We fight back- to- back with one weapon." Karn answers my question, his lips forming a soft smile. "We have been doing it since a long time, we were a little more than fourteen."
"Fourteen?" I said, surprised.
"Yes Papa. Fourteen." He nodded at me.
"Weren't you to young?" I ask, suddenly fear of him getting hurt came to mind.
Karn raises an eyebrow, "You sent me to study at age of six and handling weapons at fourteen with expertise is wrong?"
I sigh, "I am sorry, fatherly instinct." I inform him and he smiles.
"I loved it." Karn ordered. "Now sleep papa, its late."
When I was to protest, he cut me off, "And I am not leaving. Don't worry."
