the sounds echoed as seungmin pressed the passcode, showing his back to the two as they send stares, nudging each other repeatedly.

the gate the unlocks itself just before seungmin entered, followed by the two boys sweating at how to distract him.

rushing to seungmin, blocking his way from the front, "uh seungmin-ah, what about we go buy that limited edition figure you wanted so much" felix blurts out, actually shock himself for saying such thing.

hyunjin speeds beside felix, "yeah. yeah. Or the bakery to buy your favorite cheesecake" hyunjin spoke, mentioning back his idea not too long ago as he was out of for more.

seungmin's forehead creased, twitching, "are you guys hiding something?" he exclaimed suddenly, making the two to stutter, lost in thoughts.

he raised an eyebrow for the last time before pressing the door handle downwards, opening. The first glimpse of the first step inside was all pitch black, except the light shining from outside.

He let out an 'hmm' before heading towards the light switch, clicking on posibbly every switch there is.

The lights started to glitch, bright light shining the whole entrance and living room. Out of the blue..

PPOPM! PPOPM!

the loud exploding sound made us jump a little, booming the room as it starts raining confetti. Some were caught on some parts of my body.

And came popping out all of my friends from their hiding places, finding myself amused by such surprise. In between the gang came raein bringing forth the cake, my favorite kind. Beautifully decorated with sayings of 'happy birthday seungmin. Thanks for being born' written in icing with candles.

Then suddenly hyunjin came forward, putting on a party hat on top of my head as i smiled endlessly, really touched with the surprise.

"seungmin-ah, make a wish" chan chanted, nodding with his soft smile. Most of the guys started singing and dancing snsd's genie song but seungmin was too fonded in making his wish, closing his eyes believing it would one day come true.

Opening his eyelids softly and move forward, blowing out the candles with a huge gust of wind. Everyone cheered happily as all the candles were blown out. Out of the blue, hyunjin and felix attacks with the icing on both side, flicking them on my face, laughing.

"I'm so gonna get you!" seungmin shrieked, getting a big bulp of cake icing, ready to accept their challenge. They started chasing each other around the house, the others eventually getting some cake stains on their faces too.

Gulping down some refreshing water as raein suddenly popped from the living room, laughing.
Putting my cup down shortly before walking towards her.

The curiosity of finding the answer is boiling out more, "raein-ah" i called, getting her attention from washing the dishes.

"um... do you know where's juhui?" he voiced, scratching his back nape at first as he leans himself against the kitchen cabinets.

Closing the tap first then darts her attention back to him, "she's resting in the guest room" she announced, shaking her wet hand on the sink to dry up.

the thought made me twitch, "why is she resting? Is she maybe sick?" i quacked, assuring the predicted feeling he has long thought of.

"umm... " she hesitates.

"come on, it's my birthday" i proclaimed, putting on my puppy eyes.

"umm yeah, she's actually.. kinda sick?" she huffed, which weirdly came out as a question.
"but not really sick tho! She just has a fever" she added, pitching her voice at the 'not really sick' phrase.

"she begged me not to tell you because she thought it would make you worry… especially on your birthday", she huffed, trailing off as she starts gazing.

Coming to her senses, back to reality as she straightens her back, making him flinch a bit, "well then, I'm going first" she uttered, putting on a grin before walking off from the kitchen.

"she really was in pain... "
