Sleepover
You are a part of Bighit's new girl group.
After the controversies with GLAM, everyone, including you, is naturally very tense about the response you will get to your debut one month from now. It does help that Bangtan is like your older brother group, and they have helped and supported you through your Rookie years. Through social media, you know that a huge part of their ARMY fan base are rooting for you and sending positive messages for you. However, as the team leader and the oldest in your group of three, you feel more pressure than anyone else does. You feel it is your responsibility that your other two members, who happen to be twins, do not feel stressed out. You ensure that everything goes smoothly and they are well taken care of.
The three of you have been practising for your debut stage for what seems like forever. There are two days left before your Mnet debut stage, when BTS calls your group for dinner and a movie night. You tell your members that you will meet them in Bangtan's dorm. You need to have a quick last look at the finalised album songs as well as practice a dance step you haven't quite got the hang of yet. The twins, Beck and Ray, leave after a group hug, and you linger at the studio door, watching them walk away. They may be sisters, but they see you as nothing less than the same, and neither do you. The three of you have developed an insanely strong bond in the years spent training together.
It is quite late when you finish, and you finally look down at your phone, only to be greeted by several missed calls and messages from both the twins and Bangtan. You yawn before locking the studio door and trudge down to the dorm, a comfortable ten minute walk along a tree-lined path. The stars are out tonight and you breathe in the clear, fresh air, taking in the beauty of nature, even when it is surrounded by concrete jungle. You take this quiet time to reflect on how lucky you are to have the twins as a part of your team, your extended family, and to have the support of Bangtan, your older brother figures. Despite the tension about the debut, your mind is at peace. In your heart you know that everything will be perfect.
When you reach the dorm, your mind is rather fuzzy. The stress of the debut, the editing of songs, song lyrics, dances, everything culminated into several sleepless, restless nights. Now, with that ten minute walk of peace, you feel as though you can finally relax for a while.
The door opens and a familiar sight meets you. Jin and Yoongi are in the kitchen, preparing dinner. Jimin, V, and the twins are playing Monopoly, on the verge of a pillow fight. Hoseok is watching the four of them in uncontained excitement, as though eagerly awaiting the fight. Namjoon looks up at you from his book, "Ah, there you are! We've been waiting for you! How was practice?"
You return his smile, dumping your backpack on the floor and flopping down on the sofa next to him, "Oh it was alright. I was worried about a particular dance, but we'll pull through just fine."
Namjoon nods and goes back to reading. After a couple of minutes of watching the kids of both groups play, you lean your head back, close your eyes, and sigh. A small smile appears on your lips. Life is good.
You get up and walk to the balcony, taking out your phone. You video call your parents. On a perfect night like this, seeing their faces and hearing their voices makes you feel on top of the world. They wish you luck and after an exchange of virtual hugs and kisses, you wish them good night. You will call them again tomorrow, just as you have been doing every day since you came to Seoul.
You saunter into the kitchen. The game of Monopoly has already escalated into an intense pillow fight in the living room. Namjoon sits in the midst of it, seemingly unaffected, engrossed in his book. Jin and Yoongi look up from their cooking and greet you. Jin points at onions and carrots and you get the hint. You grab a knife and a cutting board and begin to expertly chop the vegetables for salad. The comfortable silence is occasionally punctuated by random quiet conversation between the three of you. You never remember what you talk about, but the warmth and comfort of the times spent together in quiet company, remains in your heart.

A comfortable evening turns into a comfortable night with all ten of you strewn across the living room, in front of the television, watching some sappy old drama. Jungkook, who was absent from the scene that evening is now sitting in between the twins, the three of them noisily munching on different flavours of popcorn. They are playfully debating about whether caramel popcorn is worthy of being called popcorn or not. You sit on the sofa, comfortably nestled between your favourite brothers, Jin and Hoseok. Yoongi and Jimin are squashed together in a massive armchair. Tae lies sprawled on the floor, head resting on the pillows that bear clear signs of the fight that ensued earlier. Namjoon sits on the rocking chair. No one likes it but him, and no one can remember where it came from. You snicker at the sight of him gently rocking in it. It never fails to bring a smile to your face.
Suddenly Yoongi suggests a game all of you have been playing ever since the two bands got to know each other well enough for sleepovers.
"Let's see who can stay up the longest!"
There is a combination of groans and many a "Hell yeah!" It was a little game Jungkook had devised. A really old, romantic movie or series would be put on and everyone would watch it intently until one by one, they all fell asleep. The last person awake would write their name on a post-it pad and stick it on the coffee table. So far, you have been the undefeated champion, capable of staying up pretty late, and still being able to wake up early the next day. The secret to your success is your ability to take short, recharging power naps.
Jimin shakes his head vehemently, "We all know who will win. What is the point?"
You sit up, "There is more point in this game now than ever before. I am actually pretty tired today."
Beck nods in agreement and grins, "I'm pretty sure we'll all beat her this time."
Taehyung pouts, "That's what you said last time. Yet you stayed up till 3:30 and had breakfast ready for us by 7."
Hoseok grumbles in agreement and Jin affectionately strokes your hair. Despite the expressions of disagreement, after a short while of debating, everyone decides to play. Ray gets up and selects one of the most boring dramas you have ever watched. You groan internally. Even the smallest chance of you winning again has disappeared.

Half an hour into the drama, everyone turns to glance at each other and their eyes lock on you. You are breathing softly, in deep sleep, one leg draped over Hoseok's thigh, your head on Jin's shoulder. Taehyung gets up quietly and covers you in a blanket. Everyone goes back to watching the protagonist on TV.
