Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another batch of introductions & results! First, we'll start with introductions, and the results will be posted within the next 48 hours!

Question of the day: What is your favorite storytelling element (characters, plot, world, etc.) to write and why?

Let's meet the participants of the Best Short Story category! Here are all of the participants and what shorts they are participating with:

Pviscelle with the short Once Upon A Tale Of A Macabre Mistress. You'll probably recognize Pviscelle, or simply Stella, from my past contests, as she is a frequent participant. She recently won the AOTY category for my WHO Awards, which is a major victory, considering it was one of the largest categories I have ever judged. Stella is a talented fanfic and original writer with a wide variety of content on her page. She often has more literary, thought-provoking pieces, so if you're someone looking for deeper and more detailed content, Stella's page is for you!

RiKaOt70608 with the short Haunted. RiKaOt70608, or simply Lily, is a BTS fanfiction writer with an impressive portfolio featuring almost 20 works! Lily has a collection of long-format books along with mini books, like the one submitted here, Haunted, which is about a small group getting trapped inside a school and potentially dealing with dangerous spirits. This is a classic academia trope with a mix of the supernatural, which makes for a fun read! Lily is also an incredibly kind person who's always been so nice to me, so I'd really appreciate it if you could give Lily's profile a looksie!

Mochi711 with the short Keep A Secret. Esiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii prepare yourself for my review cause uh... it definitely starts very strong ;). Anywho, everyone, this is Mochi, or Esi, who is an extremely talented short story writer who has made quite a few fun, fluffy, heart-warming fics that will melt you, but she also has some intense rides that will hook you in, like this one, Keep A Secret. It's about two best friends caught in the middle of a tragedy, and they have to "work together" to stay away from the police. Hmm, I wonder what might happen... well, you're just gonna have to read it to find out!

QuinceArchFortes with the short The Bedell Bride. You'll recognize Quince as the winner from the Best Aesthetics category thanks to her amazing book, Haggard. Not only is it a good story, but it also has great graphics and presentation that makes it hook you in right away. Quince is best known for Fallen, a story about an angel and a demon's very up close and personal time together in another realm. I've read it and can definitely recommend it, and I also recommend the story submitted here, The Bedell Bride, as it's a beautiful short story with cute activities after it. Quince definitely deserves your support!

katiegoesmew with the short When Sally Met Harry (from Of Ice and Snow). I'm sure most of you know Katie and don't need me to introduce her to you by now, but in case you don't, katiegoesmew is a writer and reviewer, and the collection she submitted is Of Ice and Snow, previously her anthology, and it features a collection of shorts revolving around sci-fi, fantasy, and spec fic. Katie has a diverse range of works on her profile, featuring 10+ works for you to choose from, so I strongly suggest giving her profile a looksie!

toxicfiery with the short The Girl Who Walked Into The Woods. Toxicfiery is a writer who has an original and a fanfic available! The one we're looking at here is the original, and it's a horror story about a girl with a mysterious fascination with the woods: the one place she was told never to go, leading to her going on a journey that will alter her fate. The other story is a Park Jimin fanfiction where- OH MY GOD THE MAIN CHARACTER IS RAVEN???? THE MAIN CHARACTER IS ME??? Author, you are officially my favorite person. Guys, I'm in a PJM fanfic. My life is complete. Go read it. Now. Or I will be sad. You don't want a redhead to be sad, do you??? Well, to Toxicfiery, thank you for signing up and for writing a story about ME cause it was definitely written with me in mind, and I am totally not being delusional!!!

Total participants: 6.

All of the other categories have taken time, but this is the first big one with over 20k words worth of reviews to come out. Results should be out within 48 hours, though it may be closer to the 48 hour range than the 24 hour range that normally happens due to how it'll take longer to edit these reviews. 

But the reviews are done, same with the scores and general formatting of the next chapter, so all that needs to be done is editing them and doing participant prizes. That's why I still expect results to come out within the next two days!

Best Ongoing will be after that. Like with this category, that category's reviews are done and just need to be edited, so introductions and results will be out soon. 

Best Sci-Fi has been scored. I'm just working on the last review, and then that category will be done. I expect I'll be done with it by tomorrow, so you can expect those results this week, too.
