^Ali^

After I transported images to Iggy, I was exhausted.  The kids Ali, Nudge, Gazzy, and Ellani were playing air tag outside.  We had all had a good breakfast so everyone had energy.  Me?  Not so much.  But we still had to move on.

"KIDS!  Flock meeting!". Sam yelled outside.  One by one,  all the kids came in and sat down.

"So, we have all decided to go to Death Valley.  That's where the school is.". Max said in a leader-ey voice.

"Does that mean I can get my sister back?". Gazzy and Ali said at the same time.

"If all goes well". Fang said.

"Well, arn't you a little ray of sunshine?  The plan will work. ". Vivi said in a stern voice.

So, we all set to work rolling blankets and gathering supplies.  We would be logging in major hours, so I volunteered to carry Ellani f she got tiered.

When everyone was ready,we took off.  With each passing hour, I worked more and more about Ash.  She had been in the school for twenty four hours and God knows what they did to her.

We decided to take a small break at a town.  A man was yelling into a cell phone.  Just then, a black car passed by and the driver rolled down the window.  It was... Ari.  

"Ari."  I mumbled.                                                    

"Do you know him?"  Max asked.

"He- He's my little brother."  I said.  Not even my own flock knew this.  I waited for them to yell at me or even kick me out.  Instead, Max just nodded.

Ari glared at the man and he left.  I gasped.  The man had left his card in the slot.  Before anyone noticed, we crept up to the screen.  I had an idea.

"Iggy, did you hear the number combo?" He nodded.

"I can try."  Placing his hand on the key pad, he pressed a set of numbers.  

P L E A S E   T R Y   A G A I N

Iggy took a deep breath and pressed in another set.  The machine beeped and whirred.  I let out a breath that I didn't know that I was holding.  We took $500.  That's when Ellani screamed.

Erasers where surrounding us in cars.

"On three,"  I whispered.  "Jump into that car and buckle up."

"1....2....3!"  Max yelled.  We all sprinted for the car.  Max pushed the petal to the metal.

Now, I could tell you a story about how we all went into a heated car race and barley escaped with our lives.  Remember though:  This is my life.

The truth was that Max couldn't drive that well.  She drove all the way into a corn field.  Then, I heard an all-to-familiar crunch of bone breaking.  Let's just say that Max broke her nose and me my arm.  Just Great.  My wings were trapped under me and the seat belt would take minutes to cut  

"Sam, Vivi, take the kids.  Go now.  No questions asked.  GO!"  I put so much force in my words that they were forced to go.  I knew the Erasers were coming and I needed to keep them safe.  Even if it risked my life.  

With tears in her eyes, Vivi grabbed a struggling Ellani and jumped trough the sun roof.  Sam and Ali soon followed.

"We're coming back."  Sam said.

"Hey sis."  Ari said with a sly grin on his dog face.

"Dog boy."  I replied.  Ari lunged at me, and everything went black.

I will try to update every other day.  I am already working on chapter 8 and I just need to type it.
