Sisters

Added a new character to this story. Another one of my amazing friends, viamaria, is going to be my best friend in the story.

I got to "my" house, or apartment I should say. I walked up the stairs to apartment room 339. I put the key in the door and pushed the door open. I walked inside my house and I was in the main room.

To my right was the kitchen and dining room adjacent to each other, the laundry room was hidden behind a door in the dining room. Then directly in front of the main room was a hallway. The first door in the hallway was a bedroom. Then you walk a little further and there is a closet on the right side. At the end of the hall to the right was the bathroom and next to the bathroom was the master bedroom.

I paid attention to the details in all of the rooms and sure enough in all of the rooms, the saying Birds of a Feather Stick Together appeared in every single room. I laid down on my bed, defeated and looked around my room.

On a small nightstand next to my bed, there was a picture of me and two other women. I picked the picture up, one of them had brown hair and gray eyes and the other had very long dark brown hair. Her eyes were very unique, one was green and the other was half blue and half brown.

I glanced between the three girls and myself. I turned the picture around and on the back there were three names coordinating to the three girls. I was in the middle of the two girls. The one to my right with brown hair and gray eyes was named Monique and the one to my left, was named Sammie.

I laid the picture down and went into the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. My brown hair was slightly greasy from being in the hospital, its few golden highlights were sticking out a little, and its length was just barely above my shoulders.

My brown eyes look tired, and my 5'8 figure was slightly slumped over. I got in the shower and stayed in there for a while, because it was the first good shower that I had taken in a while. I got out after about 40 minutes, and felt very refreshed.

I blow dried my hair and put on some shorts and a T-shirt. I opened the bathroom door to let some of the steam from the shower out, and I heard a crash. Nervously, I walked out of the bathroom slowly. I walked into the main room and one of the women from the picture was there. "Who are you?" I asked, getting the figures attention. "Hey Cae," the woman said.

I furrowed my eyebrows a little when she knew my name. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" I asked. The woman looked at me slightly confused, and slightly hurt. "Of course you know me, I'm your sister," the woman said. A look of confusion was still on my face.

"I don't remember, I'm sorry," I told her. She stood up from my couch and walked over to me. "My name is Monique, and I am your sister. Cae you have to remember," she said. I looked down at the ground, not knowing what to say. "Come on, Birds of a Feather Stick Together," she told me.

My head shot up as I looked her. "That saying has been everywhere, and I don't know what it means," I said. She pulled up one her jeans' pant's leg, revealing her right ankle. The same tattoo of the saying was on her ankle, just like it was on mine.

"We got these tattoos when we lost our parents, we only had each other," Monique said. A small look of sadness appeared on my face and I asked, "We lost our parents? How?" I asked. "A bad accident," she told me. "How did you lose your memory?" she asked me.

"I got in a car accident, it was bad. I had to have multiple surgeries and one of those surgeries was on my brain," I told her. Monique looked sad and worried. "I am so sorry I wasn't there for you. I should have been. I should have known something was wrong," she said.

"It's okay, you're here now, that's what matters," I told her, giving her a small smile. She gave a small smile back and then gave me a hug. I hugged her back, and then suddenly through the silence, there was a roar of an engine.

I broke the hug and gave Monique and confused look. Monique gave me a slight smile and I went outside to see where the noise was coming from. When I got outside I saw a black 1977 Cadillac Eldorado.
