One Kiss New Relationships
For viamaria and Supernatural-24 :);)
Everyone felt the aftermath of our Spin-the-Bottle game. Sam and Sammie were awkward around each other, Cas didn't pop in as much, and when he did he turned bright red, and Dean and I, well, let's just say we have stopped Operation: Get the couples together.
It was in the middle of the night. Everyone was sleeping, except for Sam. He quietly snuck around and the bunker. He was walking down a hallway when he heard soft whimpers. He walked past a couple of door and stopped in front of the one where he heard the whimpers coming from.
He opened the door and saw Sammie laying on her bed with a pillow over halfway over her face. Her noises were muffled as she tried to hide her nightmares from everyone else. Sam looked at Sammie with a hint of sadness in his eyes. He remembered when he had nightmares about Jess, and all he wanted to do was help Sammie through this.
He walked into her room and sat down next to her on her bed. Sammie softly shifted and Sam placed a hand on her shoulder. He gently shook her to wake her. Sammie jolted awake. "Hey, hey, it's okay," Sam said. Sammie breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was Sam.
"I'm sorry if I woke you," Sammie said. Sam shook his head no and said, "I was awake." Sammie gave a small smile and she let one tear fall down her face.
It was small and the room was dark, so she didn't think Sam saw it, but he did. Sam hugged Sammie, and said, "It's okay. I'm here now, it was just a dream." Sammie nodded her head, and Sam got under the covers. He laid down next to Sammie and she laid her head on his chest. "Do you want to talk about it?" Sam asked.
Sammie was silent for a moment, but then said, "Three years ago, I started dating a man named David. I loved him very much, and he loved me. He proposed a year later, and I was so happy. We started planning our wedding, and a month later, I came home from work. I found David on the ceiling, bleeding from his stomach. I tried to help him, but this fire started. It surrounded him. I felt so helpless, and I tried running into the fire to save him, but I couldn't."
Sammie was almost in tears at this point and Sam wrapped his arms around her tightly. "Shh, it's okay," Sam said, trying to comfort Sammie. Images of Jess appeared in his mind. "I'm sorry, I thought these nightmares went away, but I guess they came back," Sammie said. "It's okay. I remember, after Jessica's death, I had many nightmares. I always felt like there was something I could have done, and that she was dead because of me," Sam said.
"How did you get through it?" Sammie asked. "Well, I never fully got through them, but I had Dean and he helped a lot. It also just took time," Sam replied. Sammie nodded her head and Sam said, "You have me Sammie, and I'm not going anywhere. I promise. I'm with you to the end." Sammie smiled into Sam's chest. "Thank you Sam," she said. Sam nodded and Sammie fell asleep on Sam's chest feeling a little bit safer.
~Meanwhile~
Monique had awoken from her sleep. She had heard a noise, and grabbed her angel blade. She walked around the quiet halls of the bunker, looking for what could have made the noise. She was walking down the hallway and looked behind her.
She looked back in front of her and accidently crashed into another person. Monique was quick to stand up and hold the angel blade up. The figure came into the little light there was, and Monique saw that it was Cas. "It's just me," he said.
Monique let out a breath and put down her blade. "You scared me," she said. "I am sorry," Cas said. "What are you doing here so late?" Monique asked him. "I just came to make sure everyone was still safe," Cas said.
Monique slightly smiled at how much Cas cared for our group of friends. "Thanks," Monique said. Cas smiled and went downstairs to the living room. He sat down on the couch and Monique asked, "Are you staying?" Cas nodded his head and Monique asked, "Do you want some company."
Cas' eyes lit up as he nodded his head. "That would be very nice," he said. Monique slightly smiled and sat down next to Cas. She slightly shivered from the cold air and Cas noticed. He immediately pulled a blanket around her and him.
"Thank you," she said. Cas smiled and said, "Your welcome." He grabbed a pillow and set it on his lap. He motioned for Monique to lay on it, and she did. "Get some rest, Monique, I'll make sure your safe," Cas said.
Monique smiled and said, "Okay, good night Cas." Cas rested his hand on the top of Monique's head just above her ear. He slightly played with her hair, as he said, "Good night Monique. Sweet dreams."
The next morning, I woke up and went downstairs. I went to check on Sammie and found her in Sam's arms, both asleep. I went into the living room, and saw Monique sleeping on Cas' lap. I smiled at my friends and went into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
I was surprised to see Dean in there, I thought he was still sleeping. "Hey," I said. He looked up at me and cleared his throat. "Uh, hey," he replied. Things were still sort of awkward between us. I fixed my water and sat down next to Dean at the small kitchen table.
Dean shifted uncomfortably, and I asked, "So what are we doing today?" Dean shrugged his shoulders, and I again tried to start a conversation. "Did you see Cas and Monique?" I asked. Dean nodded his head and stood up, "I'm actually just going to go back to bed. I'll talk to you later."
I watched Dean leave and felt sort of hurt. I looked at the spot where Dean had been sitting there was still half a plate of food, that Dean never would have left, if I hadn't been there. I sighed and went back up to my room. I plopped myself on my bed and tried desperately to erase what had just happened from my mind.
