Wally's POV

I was sitting next to the hospital bed Dick was in. He looked at peace. The doctor's said they had overdosed him into a coma. They had also broken both of his legs and some of his ribs.

"Wally... I heard about Dick. Is he doing alright?" Barbara asked as she ran next to me.

"Both of his legs are broken along with some of his ribs. And they overdosed him on illegal drugs. I don't think he's alright..." I say.

"Oh... Well at least they caught them and saved Dick." She mutters with tears in her eyes. I stand up and wipe up the tears.

"Dick wouldn't want to see you like this. Stay whelmed." I reply.

She smiles and thanks me. She kisses Dick on his check and leaves. I hold his hand and turn on one of our favorite Broadway musical's. Legally Blonde. I remember when we watched it over and over again. We would always sing along to the songs. I giggle softly while watching it. Then I realize that Dick can't laugh with me.

"At-at least your safe now..." I mutter tears pouring out of my eyes. I put my other hand on his cheek, rubbing it. I think I'm... in love with my best friend.

"I'm gonna go... Bye Dick." I say before standing up and leaving the room. I go to the zeta tube and back to my uncle's house.

When I get inside and slide down the door tears running a marathon down my cheek and chin. Uncle Barry was at work and so was Aunt Iris. I felt alone... My best friend may never wake up. I can't do anything except wait. I hate waiting, especially when it may never happen.

The more I thought about it the more I cried. Everyone on the news is saying I saved him but may have doomed him to die... Because I wasn't fast enough...

I must have been crying for hours because the door was being pushed at. I quickly stand up and walk away from the door. I looked up to see who it was. It was Aunt Iris.

"Wally are you okay?" She asked putting her things down and hugs me.

"I-i'm... Dick is in a coma and... And I just realized I'm in love with him." I say sobbing.

"Oh honey it'll be alright. Do you want me to get some ice cream?" She asked and I nod in response.

"Alright I'll be back soon alright. And Wally." She says.

"Yeah?"

"I'm proud of you saving Dick. You were so brave. I love you." She says before leaving me all alone again.

I sit on the couch and turn on the TV to the news. It was talking about Kid Flash saving Richard Grayson. I hadn't gotten an interview for that because I didn't want one. I felt responsible for his well-being. Tears run down my red and puffy cheeks as I watch the news. 

"Wally I'm back and I got ice cream." Aunt Iris says putting the gallons of ice cream on the coffee table and grabbing a spoon for me.

"Thanks Aunt Iris..." I say grabbing the tube of ice cream and opening it. Aunt Iris walked out of the kitchen to hand me the spoon she grabbed for me.

I eat the ice cream hoping he will wake up eventually and I can hang out with him again. So he can help people again. So I can be honest with him. 

I love you Dick Grayson.

Sorry this took so long schools starting back up again so I may update more often since I would actually have internet.
