I hate to write this because this is my number one otp, but this idea came to mind when I was watching Young Justice 2x09. It's the scene where Wally and Dick get into a fight and Wally shoves Dick.
I thought, they weren't always like this, they were happy. So I thought that they could have gotten together and over time Wally became like his abusive father towards Dick. And Dick tried to make it work but it didn't and they had a messy breakup and then have this fight from YJ.
*contains mention of past abuse, panic attacks, hint towards rape and self harm*

Dick was shaking so bad at the moment. Just two hours ago, the cave blew up and he was knocked unconscious and almost drowned.

Now, he was sitting in The Hall of Justice waiting for Wally, his once best friend, his ex boyfriend, his only love of his life.
Fear danced across his skin as he waited for his arrival. Dick sat all alone in the hall, the minutes going by so slow.

Dick felt as if his heart had stopped beating inside his chest. He felt completely numb, the hairs on his arms standing up. The doors slid open, revealing an angry Wally, someone Dick sadly seen too often.

Dick slowly and calmly began to explain everything to Wally. Picking and choosing each word carefully, afraid of setting off the speedster standing before him. Dick's voice barely risen to its normal volume, he remained still and almost totally silent when speaking to his former lover, his former best friend.

But, deep down in his heart, Wally was and always his one and only true love and it pained him every second being around him.

Wally finally yelled. Dick had been waiting for it and also fearing it at the same time. He squeezed his eyes tightly remembering all the nights that Wally yelled at him, breaking his fragile heart over and over again.

Wally reached forward and grabs ahold of Dick's shirt tightly, pulling Dick closer towards him as he yells at him. Dick winced when he did this, opening his eyes to gaze up at the person he still loved so much.
"Dick! He blew up the cave!" shouted Wally angrily at Dick.

Dick inhaled sharply, his eyes scanning Wally's face. There used to be more freckles upon Wally's face but now, like he, they were almost completely fade away, gone.

"You guys almost died!" Wally yelled his grip on Dick tightening. Dick could almost feel the panic rising in the back of this throat. He needed to step away from Wally before he had a panic attack.

Dick slowly reached up and gently wrapped his fingers around Wally's wrists and slowly pulled them off and away from him.
His hands lingered a second on them before he pulled away.

Flashes of memories of them holding hands, hugging, high fives and cuddles flashed in his mind but those good...no great moments changed quickly and now those hands that were so soft, so gentle with him were the ones hurting him. Punches and slaps, Dick shuttered at those memories. He glanced up at Wally and felt terrible, how things changed so very fast.

Dick tried to explain but it only seemed to only anger Wally more. He tried his hardest to get Wally to understand his reasoning behind this, behind the cave being blown up. But, no matter what he said Wally wouldn't hear it...hear him.

Wally was now full blown upset with him, Dick saw this once and after that he knew he has to get out. He had to leave Wally, he had to get out of the abusive situation he put himself in before it became too late for either of them.

Wally was red in the face and moves closer towards Dick and harshly shoved Dick backwards into a chair. Dick's eyes widen and a single tear ran down his face, his heart was breaking at the sight of his once best friend. The person in the whole wide world he trusted the most, the one that was always by his side in the darkest nights when he was younger. He used to protect him when he was younger but as they grew that changed, he soon became the one being hurt and Dick had to protect him, protect the secrets that went on in their relationship so Wally didn't get in trouble, so no one turned on him for what he did repeatedly to Dick.

"Wally..." Dick whispered in between his heavy breathing, which was coming in and out too quickly. He was hyperventilating.

"This is all your fault! I f*cking hate you! Do you hear me!?!" Wally shouted then stepped closer towards him and then he quickly turned and left.

As soon as the zeta tubes announced his exit, all of Dick's walls came crashing down upon him and he cried.

Memories played out painfully in his mind. He stood up but came crashing down to the ground and cried his shattered heart out, out to no one because no one was around and no one knew the secrets he held onto.

[Flashback]

Wally came stumbling into their apartment late at night, drunk once again.

Dick sat on the couch waiting for his return, he looked up sadly at his boyfriend.
What he saw sacred and sadden him. He saw Wally turning into his abusive alcoholic father, who beat Wally when he was younger. No one else noticed it but Dick did.

Wally chuckled and slammed the door shut loudly behind him the walked towards Dick, almost falling over a few times.
He then laid on top of Dick, pressing him roughly down on the couch and began kissing him.

Dick pushed Wally away.
"Wally, your drunk. You need sleep. Go rest babe, okay?" Said Dick and patted him on his shoulder as he stood up. This only angered Wally, who quickly turned around and yanked at Dick's wrist.

Dick gasped, not from pain but from shock.
"Walls..." Dick began but Wally pulled Dick down upon the couch once more and used his super speed to yank Dick's pants down along with his own.

"No Wally!" Dick raised his voice and brought his hands up and pushed against his chest.
Dick was totally going to yell at Star Labs for creating a serum that allowed speedsters to get drunk.

But Wally wasn't listening and kept striping Dick of his clothes. Dick reluctantly had to use his abilities in training to knock Wally off of him.

Wally landed harshly on the ground and Dick quickly got up, pulled his pants up and held a hand out for his boyfriend.
"Sorry Walls. You know I hate doing that, I only did it because I had to, now let's get you to bed, you need your rest babe" said Dick but his hand was swatted away. Dick sadly look down and his boyfriend.

Wally quickly got to his feet and quickly slapped Dick against the face.
"You f*cling ass!" Wally yelled then threw a punch at Dick's face before he could even block it.
Dick fell backwards, slamming the back of his head against the small table.

Dick's blue eyes widen. He for the very first time was truly afraid of Wally.
Wally often hit Dick when he came home like this and would apologized every morning but this was a whole new level and Dick was scared.

Dick's vision blurred a bit and he reached back and winced at sudden pain. When he pulled his hand back a small amount of blood was on his fingers tips.

Then, before Dick could do anything, Wally was back on top of him, using his super speed to his advantage.

Dick was shocked by his best friend and boyfriend's behavior and he was injured, most likely had a head concussion.

Dick reached out to grabbed Wally's hands to stop him but Wally then placed his hand around Dick's throat and squeezed tightly, blocking Dick from breathing.

"W-walls..." Dick uttered out.
He could have possibly used some of his training to help him out but it sicken him to ever think let alone hurt Wally.

Dick's shaking hands went around Wally's hand on his throat as the darkness crept into his vision.
He could feel Wally removing his pants and underwear and Dick cried out, years falling from his blue eyes.

"No! Wally....s-stop...t-this! No-no, this i-isn't...y-you. S-stop!" Dick yelled the best he could but it was too late.

The next thing Dick knew was he was waking up naked on the living room floor. He sat up and winced in sudden pain. His eyes darting around the room looking for his boyfriend.

"Wally?" Dick called out but got no reply. He slowly forced himself up and into the bathroom, when everything came flooding back.
Dick's body shook with sobs.

He quickly looked at himself in the mirror and hated what he saw. So he punched the glass, causing it to fall down into the skin. He picked up a piece and stared at it before putting it to his wrist abs cutting. He cut and cut until he couldn't feel no more.

That morning, Wally showed up and told Dick he was sorry about being wasted and gently kissed him on his forehead. Wally seemed totally oblivious to what had happen.
Two nights later, Wally beat the crap out of Dick, leaving him a sobbing pile mess upon the floor.

[Flashback ended]

Dick sat on the floor crying almost all night, until he had to force himself up and to put on the mask he has worn for so long and so well back on, the one that said everything was fine, that he was okay.

But sadly, Dick didn't know what okay meant anymore, let alone what it felt like.
