Blackberry nodded. 

We walked out of my cabin and then we started to take one of the only routes that I knew to the ends of Ponyville. We decided that we would start off walking, but if we came across a time where we needed to run, we would save running and our energy for that time...

I mean, I didn't usually need much to eat, but I knew Blackberry would. 

Our hooves made clicking noises on the ground that we walked on. We were walking on sticks, branches, leaves, everything you would find in a normal forest. ...But still, I shouldn't even refer this to a normal forest. The Everfree Forest was no normal forest. ...No, not at all. 

There was a silence between Blackberry and I... 

I should tell you what Blackberry looked like, shouldn't I? 

Blackberry was a tall stallion with interesting features. His fur color was a light royal blue. He was a very fluffy stallion... He had a short mane that stuck out... The mane was a dark pink color... His tail was also pretty short as well. 

He was a Pegasus, too. His cutie mark was was a berry on a stick with a yellow bow. 

I was drawn to this mysterious figure who just happened to enter my life... I wondered if we would ever be more than acquaintances? Could we be friends? ...Friend making was hard, but it also happened quick for me. It was hopeless, wasn't it? I was hopeless, wasn't I?

"...Shadow, I didn't know earlier-" I cut Blackberry from speaking.

"It's fine, you didn't know. Heheh, it's good to feel emotions once in a while. Y'know?" I looked to Blackberry and he smiled. 

"'Guess so." He replied. "...So...?" He tried to begin conversation, and I thought I might as well go for it. This was my chance. I was unconsciously always being a risk-taker and I hated myself for that, but I know that it helped me as well. 

"W-Would you like to b-be friends?" I said quicker than I realized. I slightly blushed of embarrassment. Blackberry turned to me and suddenly stopped. I stopped as well. 

I avoided his eye-contact as I was sure he was going to say no... My flowing hair brushed against me...

"What did you say?" Blackberry smirked. ..No, no... Please don't make me do this again-

"I would love to be your friend!" Blackberry said to me. He met his dark-pink eyes toward my icy blue ones. He chuckled. 

"R-Really?" I was very surprised. This day was very eventful...

"Of course. I mean, you helped me and now you're helping me again. I thought we were already friends, but this just makes it official." Blackberry explained. 

For a moment, a rush of happiness filled itself in my veins... But it vanished into the unknown before I could catch it. There were feelings that were felt. There were feelings that were a jumble of feelings... 

"Heheh..." I nodded. 

We continued our walk.
