We both talked about stories... We both shared memories of our pasts... We both grew closer and closer with each step that we took on the dirt route of the Everfree to Ponyville. With each step we got nearer and with each step, I knew I would have to let go at some point. I was afraid of what I just had regained. I knew I would lose him.

Any moment.

I would become the loner at any moment.

I would forever be the loner.

Always the loner. 

I'm just a lone wolf.

I didn't want to let go.

I hated change, though I knew it needed to happen. 

Why did I get so attached? Every time I get attached, it gets torn away from me. Why can't I just keep one thing in my life that makes me happy? Why can't I have something - someone in my life that makes me happy? ...Did I not deserve happiness? No, I didn't. 

Did I reach him? Will he remember me? ...Please don't forget me. ...Please don't leave me alone.

I felt like we had known each other for a lifetime. 

Time goes by fast when you make memories or have a plan.

Then, we were at the edge of the Everfree forest... It was my time to let go. 

"...I guess this is farewell then?" I asked through tears and a broken smile. 

"Aren't you going to come with? You've come this far..." Blackberry asked. He seen the tears and looked worried. 

"What's wrong?" He wiped my tears. He looked concerned by the sudden tears...

That's what was wrong with me. One second, I seemed happy... The next I could be in tears... I felt emotions too quickly, I reacted too quickly, my life was just too quick. 

"I will join you."

Blackberry led the way and we stumbled upon Kitten's house... It was and it was a pretty small, but it looked cozy. Blackberry knocked on the door and I hid behind him. 

A grey pony with a blue mane and tail answered the door. She had a cat cutie mark and she herself, was a cat. 

Would a wolf and cat get along? We would have to wait and see. 

"Who's your friend?" Kitten asked Blackberry. 

"This is Shadow. She was the one who led me here.... I got lost in the Everfree." Blackberry explained. 

"Oh. Nice to meet you Shadow. Come inside." Kitten led us inside...
